After all the talk about "uniting" behind a single challenger, Fioretti shows his true colors:
- Unsuccessful mayoral candidate Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd) says he’s endorsing Mayor Rahm Emanuel for reelection over challenger Jesus “Chuy” Garcia in the April 7 runoff.
Fioretti, who earlier this month retracted his promise to endorse Garcia, plans a joint public appearance Sunday afternoon with Emanuel, aides said.
Fioretti released a written statement early Sunday saying his decision came down to how the candidates plan to tackle the city’s trobled finances — what he termed “the No. 1 issue that we face in this election.”
What a rat-fuck. Rahm maps him out of his ward for being an obstructionist and now he endorses him. Talk about being a glutton for punishment. Almost like...like...if Rahm showed up at a firehouse and told the firefighters they were going to have to "learn to bleed" and then getting the endorsement of the union. Or Rahm's people claiming they were going to "stick in the [cops'] ear" and then the union sitting out the election and way too many officers claiming Rahm is the lesser of two evils.

Jagoff just about came out and said he was bought off by Rahmbo paying off his campaign debt. Real nice .
Fioretti - what a disappointment.
I would have had more respect for him if he came out and said, "I stand by my initial convictions that Chicago needs change and I support Chuy for the simple fact that it will change the current course of this administration if he is elected."
Saying something like that would lock in Fioretti's image that he might be a great contender in four years because he showed courage stand by his convictions. He would have gathered more of a following.
Now, if Rahm wins he may get a small bone from him, but he will NEVER earn any citywide positive image of leading the city.
If Chuy wins, Fioretti will lose face as well for backing the wrong horse in the race.
Fioretti did not think this one out.
Scratch him for being any future mayoral contender.
No way rahm is the lesser of two evils. He has proven time and time again of his conniving behavior. He lies and cheats and wants nothing to do with first responders.

Bob got something like 7% of the votes. The people that voted for him did not want to vote for the Marty Stuart look-a-like. So assume that 4 to 6% of those votes are going to go to Chuy. On a side note to all you Chuy haters that say he is anti this and that. He may well be but he will have a harder time getting his agenda put through the city council. They won't rubber stamp things for him as they did for Daley and do for Rham. If Chuy wins things stay the same, slightly worse, slightly better for four years then someone with knowhow and balls may be available to run.

For instance, why does the cross guard supervisor think she can change her furlo as she pleases. You picked a furlo and why are you on the furlo in an earlier segment then what you picked. Bad enough you think you can make your own hours, and come and go as you please. I love to know how many hours you have on the books since you are never there. I know they burn my time when i take off but for some reason you must have over 1000 hours for as off as you are. Again weekends off. So all i have to do is get injured and then i can get that spot. It is entitlement that is destroying 012 and i am sure other districts as well.
So imagine working in a district working 10 hour days, and those select people mind you with weekends off never work a full tour, let alone 10 hour days. This type of stuff is destroying this department.

And from what i hearing from other watches in 012 it looks like the captain has taken it upon himself to limit the number of officers off per day down to 6 officers. All because he wants to make commander. But apparently the watch commanders are saying that number can change if you bring in more contact cards.
Does this contact card rule affect our three time keepers, our 3 district secretaries, our very special quiet room officers who they made an office for in the quiet room unsure of what they do besides hand out st jude stickers. Or who is never there. Or our very very special Intelligence officer. Nope. Does not affect them what so ever.
But keep hurting the officers on the watch with no time off for there families, or friends. 012 may not be as busy as 006 but it has picked up with the merger with 013.
But it is all okay, because certain sgts do what ever they want. You know do as i say, not as i do. Come in late, leave early. But think no one is watching. Hate to break to you people are watching more then you think.

Some of us out there working know the polls (from the Emperor's campaign) have to be wrong. Because there is a huge segment of the population either not answering polls or telling pollsters they are voting for R. just to mess up their numbers. This segment of voters does not care about negative campaign ads, polls or the debates. They know they are being ripped off and nothing can change their minds. The only poll that counts is on election day.
The media is declaring RAHM the winner too bad so sad, I mean the whiner !!!
