Gee, are you trying to say that Georgas and Flores might be working in concert with the Inspector/Lt., the female civilian HR observer & the female sergeant from the canine unit (not to mention the other canine POs present)? You might remember them from being present at the physical agility portion of the testing process where candidates very openly and clearly failed a certain physical task necessary to move on to the oral interview. If you witnessed people in your group of 12 that failed any portion of the physical, will you be willing to do something about it if/when you see any of these officers assigned for training or arriving with a pooch for a money sniff a year from now???? I hope you made mental notes of which number it was on that vest that couldn't swing the log or dropped the sandbag and scribbled them down for later. It'll be very easy to FOIA names of all candidates and put names to those numbers as it was all done in alphabetical order. They couldn't do it at the time it occured for fear of being blacklisted on the spot, but I've heard talk by more than a few people that are ready to make an issue of this if/when the time is right. This is nothing more than a pat on the shoulder after the camera person failed to properly accept the handshake of our King. No visual of the "shove", in fact no visual of any contact at all other than a smear of the camera which could have been cause by the camera person taking a small step back to make room for our King but kicking something in his movement backwards causing a short step, vibration and loss of focus. It was an obvious simple battery, nothing major but still a valid offense. And whoever made the comment about giving him props for confronting the guy with the camera- the tiny dancer is a whole 5'02 tall and 120lbs soaking wet after eating a burger; he'd never challenge a stranger like that without his 12 man bodyguard detail. The interesting thing is switch this incident around and show an officer swatting a black woman recording this with her smart phone and you'd see protests and cries of injustice flooding the streets. For those of you who say it's no big deal, if you responded to a call where someone gave you video proof of a battery, are you going to deny them service if they want to sign complaints and pursue charges? And whoever said the camera guy invaded the mayor's privacy- he's not in the shitter, he's in the middle of a retail store open to the public- no expectation of privacy there. This is just more proof of what this limousine liberal is really like once you remove his phony public smiling "man of the people" act. Part of the statute says as follows:
"A person commits battery if he (or she) intentionally or knowingly without legal justification and by any means causes bodily harm to an individual or makes physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with an individual.

It fits the legal description of battery in the statute.

Third, Rahm is also previously on record as saying all casino proceeds would go toward schools, which brings us back to "First,..."

The statute doesn't mention "unwanted contact," or "offensive contact" as many of you have mentioned. Learn to read and learn some common sense. Great, another reading challenged individual. We watched the video - we screen it all before it goes up. We saw what the filmmaker used as subtitles.
Now look what WE wrote. WE were accused of calling this a shove. The comment that didn't get published was along the lines of, "You call that a shove SCC? You're a pussy/wimp/candy-ass, etc."
WE didn't call it a shove. WE posted a video that had its own subtitles embedded already. WE have stated time and again over the years that if you attempt to put words in our mouths by misquoting, distorting, jumping to conclusions that were not typed, etc, you will be deleted without fail.
We know what we typed and the word "shoved" wasn't anywhere on the screen. Go look again. What appears on the post is what WE typed. What appears in a linked video or news article is what someone else wrote or typed.

I did once while shopping in a Target and was not offended when I, a white woman, was asked by an black woman for assistance. I explained I didn't work there, but answered her question nonetheless as I knew the answer. We both then had a good laugh.
People who go looking for an insult or an argument can usually find it. Lighten up.
I am the person that recorded this video. It was recorded October 2012. It was edited by a student of mine as I am not tech-savvy. I am a 52 yr old university professor. The video is completely authentic and represents exactly what occurred.
My wife and I were picking up some things at Target. Was quite surprised to see Emanuel and his entourage there. I had just bought my first video capable phone and thought this was certainly something worth recording. To my right, not visible in the frame are approximately 5-10 other people doing exactly what I was. As he approached the group I guess he had his hand stuck out. Frankly I did not notice because I was looking at my phone's display. I was completely stunned when he did what he did. I can tell you with complete sincerity that his stiff-arm poke/slap to my upper arm was beyond the shadow of a doubt done in anger and done with considerable force. I'm 6'2", 225lbs and it was hard enough to rock me onto my back foot. The video ends immediately after this because there was nothing to see but the floor of the Target as my wife wisely pulled me away. I knew better than to do anything irrational in that moment, but I did make eye contact with one of the older bodyguards, you can see him in the background in a black trench coat about twenty feet away. He looked at me and rolled his eyes while shaking his head, as if he were embarrassed to have to protect this guy. I am hearing impaired and I did not even realize Emanuel had said anything to me until I got home and could listen to the audio better. I had not watched the video for a very long time until today when a neighbor friend who is a cop told me about this blog.
Oddly enough, seeing the video again makes me much more angry now than it did then. Was I injured? No, but as an adult I honestly can't think of another instance when someone did something like that with impunity.
So here we have positive confirmation that the Rahm-hole (feel free to substitute "ass" for "Rahm")is not only rude, but also picks on disabled citizens- who cannot fight back. What a little prick. And he thinks he deserves to be Mayor again???

If there was a video showing YOU doing this to some disabled/handicapped citizen, how do you think Rahm would handle it? Would he characterize it as some "play shove"? Hell no! 1. There was nothing I did that could be misconstrued as behaving like a paparazzi. I absolutely hate that kind of shit. I never approached him, followed him around or "baited" him in any way. We had just walked into the store and this is in the very front of the store by the checkout lines.
2. I don't know who embedded the video on this blog. It is shortened on the front end but nothing of any consequence is missing, just Rahm walking around pressing the flesh and posing for photos. I'm not sure how the person shortened it and then uploaded it to their own youtube channel. I think that's copyright infringement but whatever.

2. I AM NOT PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED OR DISABLED - I am deaf in one ear and the other is around 50%. I'm a big guy and if this had happened when I was younger and more of a hothead, things would have ended very differently. Of course I'd probably pay for it for the rest of my life. Let's just say for example; what if I had walked up to him, unsolicited, gave him a hard poke/slap and asked him, "why are closing schools and vilifying teachers?" What would have happened to me?
3. The video ends where it does because there's nothing else to see but my hand holding the phone going down to my side and me turning it off.
There is nothing complicated about what happened and there is nothing deceptive about the video. He was there acting like a celebrity big-shot. Almost everyone there was fawning over him. When I didn't follow the script he got really really pissed off. When he made contact with me it was in anger. It was definitely of an insulting and inflammatory nature.
What he did is classless and indefensible. He's a spoiled rich twerp who has never had to deal with the type of real life cause and effect consequences that are commonplace to most of us.
