Any encounter worth incriminating an officer will be used to file a lawsuit against them. Speaking of speaking out, the lawsuit filed by McCarthy's ex driver turned Sergeant now back to PO is getting pretty interesting. Its also interesting that he changed the merit process and removed the Chiefs with his hand picked Deputy Chiefs after that fiasco because the Chiefs did not qualify his picks as instructed, including the ex driver. What respectable and transparent Superintendent would promote his driver anyway? Now the last Lieutenants promtion, he bypassed his own new found plan and reached back a few years for the same list the Chief's vetted through. Well I thought your self created merit process was the best Mc Carthy? What's even more interesting is that through each promotion someone from Chief Tracy's shop has been promoted meritoriously. An Administrative Unit with all merit promotions. Now his former Lieutenant is now being moved today to be the XO of IAD. The same lieutenant who was with a married commander when he died and was prohibited from attending his funeral by his wife. Thats just the tip of the iceberg. That same transparent regimen promoted a Sergeant who was Chief Tracy's personal Sergeant the day she retired to Director of R and D. She then brought her own people into the Unit following in her former boss's footsteps and of course, McArrogance himself. Lets not forget the new Captain in Narcotics who was added at the last minute. What an example you all set. Cronyism at its best.

Yes, the wrongful deaths and injuries caused by these who are about to collect their reparations need to be settled as well - by the violent offenders.
Anybody, any officer, who was injured by any of the recipients, in the past and into the future should consider legal action to recover damages from these criminals who have been granted this monetary award.
This should also be the wake up call for LEO's to file lawsuits for ANY injury or defamation sustained by violent offenders and assailants.

When the inmates saw how Porter got our of prison and used Northwestern University Innocence Project as his ticket to get out of jail and attempted to make some easy monies, they all jumped on the bandwagon and did the same. Unfortunately for him, the city decided to fight the allegations against me and my partner. I thank God that they did because after almost a week trail we were found not guilty of any misconduct. After Porter was arrest, charged with two murders, subsequent trail, and post conviction appeals HE NEVER, NEVER STATED HE WAS MISTREATED BY THE INVESTIGATING DETECTIVES. NOT ONCE. It wasn't until Porter got involved with Northwestern University Innocence Project that the allegations of Police Brutality/Misconduct was brought up. How many years from the time of his arrest to the time he got up of prison, not one allegation from him or his attorneys about misconduct. What happened? Other death row inmates saw him get out of prison and sue us. So what do you think they did? They used the same phony allegations against the area two detectives to sue the city and GET FREE MONEY. This is a travesty. The Mayor is going to set up a fund to pay these criminals monies, for what. Make mo mistake about it, RAHM IS A FAR LEFT LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC WHO IS PAYING OFF THE BLACK LEADERS WHO BACK HIM IN HIS RECENT ELECTION. In addition, he is porpoising that school children be taught about "THE MISCONDUCT OF THE CHICAGO POLICE DETECTIVES. Speaking of speaking could you imagine the "firestorm" that could be on ahh lets say jump stick/external hard drive that the "spirits of the air" or as some call the pheonomenum "the great oz" would not want to rumple SCC feathers to much because the gates could be opened! OT. The first time I heard the term "Chiraq" was on this blog. Where did Spike Lee get this term, did he get it from the Blog?
There is no concept of justice anymore in this city, county, state or country thanks to the lawyers.
Almost every alderman, councilman, state and federal representative and senator belongs to the American Trial Lawyers Association. They care not about who is right but who has the deep pockets and how to get at the money.
There should be outrage that these guilty men are being given OUR MONEY while Rahm cries, "WE'RE BROKE!" about our pensions. Yesterday I attended a reunion of officers from my old district, and an FOP Trustee told us about an alderman telling the city that if it did not alter it's financial plans it would lead to underfunding of the police pensions. That was in October 1915, a hundred years ago.
But those murderers and gangbangers that get that money vote, and vote and their mamas vote and their kids vote and their dead grannies vote. Cops don't and the aldermen know this.
So who gets the money and who gets the door slammed in their face.

My favorite story of the Burge myth was written by John Conroy, a story of the torture and anguish suffered by Aaron Patterson at the hands of Burge.
In Conroy's fantasy, Patterson is brutally beaten and tortured by Burge, who is also an acquaintance of Aaron's father, a CPD lieutenant.
Not only does Burge torture murderers, he also tortures his own police officer friend's kids.
After Northwestern University's Center on Wrongful Convictions movement, aided by The People's Law office, spring Patterson from his double murder conviction, he becomes an advocate for other convicts who claim innocence and torture by Burge.
But, before Paterson can prove his virtues and honest life, he's immediately arrested for buying heavy automatic weapons and a severely large amount of drugs.
Throughout his federal trial, Patterson threw tantrums and irrational accusations. Almost confused by the fact that he was able fool one group of liberals and then convicted by another group of liberals.
As always, in the end, Aaron lied.

There are officers who don't even donate to the police memorial fund. What makes you think the left wing liberals will be in support of having their children show their respect for the fallen? We lost before they defeated us.
The most risible element of the proposal is "free" college tuition to the victims of the alleged police brutality and torture and/or their children and grandchildren at the City Colleges of Chicago.

In circuit court, yes. In Federal Court it is different. He sued for one of the Wilson Brothers and asked for damages of $1.00 (one dollar) The jury awarded Wilson one dollar. Flint Taylor billed the City one million bucks and got it.
The families of Fahey and O'Brien had a lien on the Wilsons so they got the one dollar. Taylor even screwed the families of the two slain cops.
Taylor is pure scum. He sued on behalf of Mark Clark and Fred Hampton from the 1969 black panther raid. Represented scumbags his entire career.
