McGoof to be named public safety director and new superintendent and Fire chief will report to him.
Also there will be no more Det.s made of the old list. The class of 100 will be the final one. The brass feel the manpower is sufficient and they want a fresh group for new Det.s classes in 2016. The current list is way to old. Better start studying.
I would think that Greek Lightning in 019 has to be on the chopping block. Shootings are up, homicides are up, thefts are always high, and he's been there close to three yrs. wow... yep, that's about all I can muster up for the moment.
So, there's going to be "changes"... They are ALL going to be Lil Gary's sycophants.
Gary likes to jump up and down, yell, scream and belittle... Guess who else will like to do the same?
These "changes" will effect and affect about 1% of the department. That's it.
We will still be undermanned in the ranks of Patrolmen, ET, Det, Sgt, Lt. Yet have an abundance of Capt and above.
The 9 1/2 digit midget will continue to fuck us.
So, in the end, what is actually going to "change"?
014th District Commander ?
A lot of promises were made by Rhambito to get re-elected, now it's time to pay the piper.
Honest to God, who the fuck cares any more. With the way this department is run and the needle dick's that are put in charge. At the E.T. test the other day a bunch of gold stars standing around, they look like a bunch of frumps. Not a single one of them had a look that commanded respect. Fat and dumpy, looked like they never did a day's worth of real police work a day in their lives. Hell they looked like they would have a hard time defending themselves against a jellyfish. This department hasn't moved past 1985 with regards to police philosophy, equipment, training and tactics. Useless hack's running this department and it shows.
There wont be any changes in 009 regarding C.U. The two shortest guys that the FOP has to offer (deano and rar ray) visited 1st watch and wasted our time. New C.U. language in the contract is not enforcable, but they are "still meeting with MLAS and McCartht". Going to be a long summer in 009.
Will there be openings in 009?
There are always after election changes.

2016? yea ok. the test hasnt even been developed yet. it will most likely be a 2 part test. figure it will take about a year and half until the 2nd part is graded and scores given.

People who have a fiduciary duty are required by law to act in the best interest of the client “When one person does agree to act for another in a fiduciary relationship, the law forbids the fiduciary from acting in any manner adverse or contrary to the interests of the client, or from acting for his own benefit in relation to the subject matter. Should not our politicians be held legally civil and/or criminally responsible for what they term a crisis? The former and current Mayor and all former and current aldermen/alderwomen should be charged criminally have they not gained from the mess they have made at our expense? Anita and Lisa if you care about political corruption charge the current and former Mayor and alderpersons , have they not gained at our expense? Yes political contribution could be considered graft if the Mayor and alderpersons approved any actions which were against the best financial interest of those they are supposed to protect. What about the parking meters deals, Sky way deal and how many others. What about the failure to properly fund the pensions while spending on many unnecessary things, we all could name a dozen.
Bring those parties into court civil or criminal and you will greatly advance the cause of honest government.

Picture third watch early cars in say 008 brought in to the assembly room during the tour while some Goldstar and a numbers cruncher confronts you in front of your peers about your totals and demands you explain yourself and define the problems on your beat and how you are going to remedy your failings by your next review.
I know many officers who just like the general public are terrified to speak in front of a group. That is a big reason some officers avoid court and now you are supposed to get up and defend yourself while some asshole tries to humiliate you in front of your coworkers.
Should be fun and really ramp up the dreams of going to CFD.
I just read that Kulbida is getting 12. This is another reason why outsiders should not negate the historical perspectives of the bosses that we have. I am just wondering what the people in IAD did to allow Kulbida's name to be cleared for him to receive an exempt position. I respect the fact that he was shot in the line of duty, but that does not make him promotable. The First Deputy himself should be aware of his history as he was in 011 with me when Kulbida was a Sergeant. They called him old Bobble head for so many reasons, but the one thing that always stuck out was his blatant dishonesty and misuse of power. Not true, there is time due, however it's limited. The merit part, yes that's true, except they're knowledgable and good to work for. Even they don't agree with the time due issues. Downtown panics everytime some taxpayer is shot, so the answer is limited people off.

Saw a ticket writer hammering on M plates around Fulton and Jefferson the other day....Thought it was a Cop for a minute...wearing a black tac vest with embroidered star on the front. Has a Dept of Finance ripoff velcro patch on the back.
Saw the same dude out in 41 on a bike Thursday near Cumberland and Bryn Mawr while I was coming home from my shift.
Think our guy on the bike changed his tactics.

Saw a ticket writer hammering on M plates around Fulton and Jefferson the other day....Thought it was a Cop for a minute...wearing a black tac vest with embroidered star on the front. Has a Dept of Finance ripoff velcro patch on the back.
Saw the same dude out in 41 on a bike Thursday near Cumberland and Bryn Mawr while I was coming home from my shift.
Think our guy on the bike changed his tactics.

Fulton and Jefferson? That's just the CTA vehicles. When you consider that the meter lease company charges the City for every vehicle on a meter that doesn't pay, I say no big deal. At least before the lease you wouldn't see those revenue or finance or whatever the hell they are called looking at an M Plate. The Revenuers started checking M plates on meters Because of the Lease.
