Great Message

  • A teen who pleaded guilty in juvenile court to robbing Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s son won’t stand trial on an additional charge that he lied to Chicago Police about his identity.

Cook County prosecutors dropped the obstructing-identity case against Phillip Payne, 18, earlier this week, court records show.

Payne was arrested Feb. 6 — a week after his 18th birthday — after police approached him, and they said he gave them a fake name. After being arrested, Payne admitted he attacked Zach Emanuel on Dec. 19 outside the mayor’s home in the 4200 block of North Hermitage Avenue and took his iPhone 5s. A second suspect in the mugging remains at large.
The reasoning?
  • Had Payne been convicted in the misdemeanor identity case, he likely would have gotten probation, said Sally Daly, a spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. Given that Payne already is on probation, it made sense for prosecutors to drop the identity charge, she said.
Really? WE thought that the purpose of probation was to ensure better behavior or risk jail/prison time. So a violation of probation would mean he gets housed, right?

Oh wait....Cook County. We give shooters probation, aggravated battery offenders eighteen months and murderers three-to-six.

The robbery DID NOT HAPPEN ON THE BLOCK ZACHERY EMANUEL lives on.

It was all LIES.....

Crime can be traced back directly to the cook county states attorney and the cook county judges. You know whats wrong with the world today? People done gone put their bibles away, their living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land. Judges are sentencing, and prosecutors are prosecuting according to the law of the jungle, not the law of the land.

"A second suspect in the mugging remains at large."

Something tells me that if you had robbed someone in the Daley inner circle, it'd be jump-out time all over town. Instead we have smooth-it-over and rAhM lOvE, yo.

One on probation, one still at large, and no one has really said what happened on the street that night. Nothing suspicious at all.

Not just Cook. Down here in Coles and Edgar, we have juveniles on double or triple probation. "Oh, you violated your probation? Your probation is withdrawn and we're putting you on probation". Assault, drugs, destruction of property, you name it.

The Rule of Law is gone and we have sunken into Political Law, which means no one is safe regardless of the number of police. Government is playing with totalitarianism.
Whatever the powerholders decide.

HUH? If the ***Honor Student*** was "already on probation" wouldn't the new crime(s) Violate his Probation and send him to the slammer? Or does Crook County have some 'Two For One' spring special going on: Commit two crimes get charged with one.

(Sheesh, no wonder Chicago, Crook County, and Illinois is the laughing stock of the nation, Certified Imbeciles are in charge.)

I can't believe all the similarities in the incident.
Rhams Hollywood brother Ari could do a sequel to Animal House and call it Emmanual House. In the movie Pinto is involved with the mayors 13 year old 'daughter.' In the movie there was also a kangaroo court proceeding and a reference to, "double secret probation."
Aaah, life does imitates art.

For all of you lesser than the two evils Rahm supporters click on and read the below link and let me know if you still feel the same way. Rahm and his financial buddies have conspired to and are perpetrating theft of tax dollars on a global scale. Rahm's buddies get tons of our hard earned tax dollars by way of excessive interest rates and excessive penalties tied to non-conventional financing and Rahm gets campaign cash.

I suspect that the guy picked up for the crime didn't do it but he was booked to make the whole story die down until the election is over. If he didn't want to play ball, into jail for violation of probation.

I know plenty of guys in the probation office. They send up the VOPS, and nothing gets done. The dirty secret is theres no room to house these assholes, and no money to pay for it if they did. The powers that be think Electronic Monitoring is the salvation, but it isn't... The Justice system in Cook Co is a paper tiger, just dont let anyone figure it out... mopes have to work awful hard to get INTO jail here...

Forget probation/parole all a joke. Work the desk sometime and call parole on these idiots. Police charge dude with unlawful street gang contact (easily documented thru CLEAR)which is a parole violation...Think they approve a parole warrant?? Nah, just send us a fax of the arrest report, thanks for calling.
Makes me sick.
