Ghost of Royko

Martin Preib again, putting so-called "journalists" to shame:
  • It was 1992 when Mike Royko headed over to a downtown apartment to meet with Jon Burge’s representatives.

Jon Burge was a Chicago Police Commander on the south side of Chicago facing accusations that he tortured confessions from suspects in murder cases.

The purpose of the meeting was for Royko to finally sit down and pore over the facts of the infamous Wilson murders from 1982, the murder of two police officers that gave rise to what is now known as the wrongful conviction movement.

Royko spent the afternoon gathering first the facts of the murders, then the long history of the criminal case and the claims by Wilson and his attorneys that Wilson had been tortured by Burge and his men.
And Royko, no particular friend of the Department, pretty much found that the juries had gotten it right, time and time again.

As usual, read it all, including Royko's article outlining his findings. The conversion of these murdering scumbags into "wrongfully convicted" individuals should be appalling to anyone with half-a-brain.

This is unbelievable stuff to read. And over 30 years later this case is STILL affecting how we are seen in the media and how we are perceived by the public and how we do our jobs everyday. When will our UNION take heed of all that has happened and take the city and county to task for all this nonsense??! What will it take? More murdered police officers?? We have little left to lose, Dean! Fight for us, for God's sake! Officer Preib connected the dots in his book, Crooked City--and he continues to do it in his blog. Take a stand!

Powerful. Martin Preib's narrative tone is brilliant and ironically enough matches Conroy's 'hushed and whispered' tone all through his Chicgao Reader tenure. Truth needs voices and Martin Preib has a powerful one.

i have a more glorified image in my mind of old timey bootleggers and gangsters having at least some police respect. sort of a "they've got a job to do too..." thing. this more recent "fuck tha police" ethic is way disturbing. possibly a harbinger of a time when haves, have nots and peace keepers square off into oddly affiliated groups with strangely blended loyalties.
as far as royko's dissemination of the facts being a sober one, well, that's not a choice of words i'd have used. i know he wasn't doing research at the pinch penny pub, but he carried it with him.
anyhow, thanks for a great read. the publics awareness of preib needs to be elevated.

Why can't.
People see.
These rotten,
traitorous, corrupt,
anti-American,
socialist agenda
running dogs
for who and what
they really are
and what they
really stand for?

This whole "The Police Are Out Of Control" narrative is a well
constructed, very well funded and by now thirty-some years deeply
rooted propaganda false-flag designed to separate The Policeman
from public good will and drive the public into embracing the cause
of the urban contemporary arch-criminal and those who willingly give
said criminal aid, comfort and most importantly, the FINANCIAL SUPPORT
to appeal and overturn the verdicts of the people and causing a system of
financially rewarding, jack-pot reparations to be put in place of JUSTICE
rendered by the people.

Now...
The Policeman finds himself being hunted and pursued relentlessly
instead of the urban contemporary arch-criminal who has inflicted
by orders of magnitude, far more collective grief and aggravation than
the whole of modern Policing as put forth by Sir Robert Peel.

The Policeman finds himself targeted for "reform" and punishing "oversight"
for the simple reason of having compelling rules, laws and conditions of employment
and an oath of office to abide by.

The Policeman is also targeted because he strives to honor his part of the societal contract that demands
he stand as society's agent against those who would commit/cause to be committed those outrages society
cannot willingly abide.

The democrat voting perpetual grievant class
and their leftist/progressive aid-ers and abettors
in media, government and law, have turned society
on it's collective ear for the sake of simple fuckery.

It has nothing to do with the goodness or badness of Policing and The Policeman.
It's just that The Policeman embodies an ideal that is under targeted attack.

The Policeman is in the way of the table being run by the well funded smart set behind the scenes.

You know... The ones working frantically to get things done before the rest of everybody else
catches on to what's really happening in regard to the anti-Police/anti-Policing false flagging
that is currently clogging so much bandwidth that it is hard to have that much ballyhooed
discussion that the craven, callow and hollow less-than-men like Barack Obama, Eric Holder et al.,
and their apologists have yet to dare to set the table for.

If it's a "discussion" to be had, The Policeman who patrol the streets of America's majority democratic
voting urban centers ought to have healthy representation at the table to tell the stomach turning
tale that so many don't want told.

The Police Are The Enemy...
Viva Hate.

Now what?

Rant: On/(OFF)

Should be very interesting reading. Mike was definitely put on Earth to do what did. Talk about an Old School Journalist.
Yea, I'm gonna treat myself to a Mike Royko Interview.

Let us know, because after Dean sells us out on pension, he will be removed at next meeting you could take the stage right there, change comes from within and you sir have the raw courage to tell the truth! Do we need that ted street fop national president to draw up paperwork or can we just bring boxes for dean to pack? hold on, mind is spinning up we are the union, we pay the dues, we own the building,we pay the inflated union salaries, we own the bank accounts "Yes Yes we can"! dean we are your landlords better treat the "tenants right" "Sue You no Sue me"

Marty want to be FOP President? It's yours your a real leader. Great research thank you! Fahey and O'Brien may you RIP! These great gang officers coming back from an officers funeral who was murdered by thugs, these officers in full uniform in marked squad (no doubt they were police) came about thug pos Wilson brothers they were murdered in cold blood Wilson brothers stood over their downed bodies and kept shooting they succumbed to the multiple wounds. The late great Jane Byrne ordered "gloves off, get the murderers who killed my policemen" yes she said that! She was real genuine! She was responsible for us getting first contact (another reason to protect pension make sure 550 million is paid now). The very best officers were tasked with tearing down the walls to bring these thug scumbags to justice, John Burge had a team of detectives that were the "real police" he sent them! They were brought to justice! Then the political establishment and scum bottom feeder lawyers got involved. They made us stories of tortuous behavior (the Wilson brothers murdered 2 police officers and would say anything to get free) lawyers fed them what to say, the things that the lying lawyers said were used to torture the thugs were never found, not even a part of it! They brought multiple lying court cases against the city and John Burge, the city alderman gave so many total millions away of our money to these bottom feeding lawyers, and of course more thugs jumped on the "Chicago ghetto lottery train" and alderman approved payments!

Nothing ever proven but they succeeded in damaging John Burge and other great coppers names! Incredible but true! Pathetic really! Sad reality!

Plus, he's the one that came up with the Chicago motto of "ubi est mea". Where's mine?

Bottom line no matter what happens from the copper who is taking 5 days for supposedly sleeping to this the mayor is being asked and brought into everything! No Life preservers at all, your on your own! Came on in 1987 heard about the "dog ass coppers" now I can really see why coppers are afraid to get jammed up in anyway! be smart! Work safe! back each other up! Follow all rules not what boss says check and recheck if it doubt ask boss to "put it in writing" and or most phones can record use it, and use it for confrotations with thugs!

I have read PO Prieb's two books and I have been reading his blog. What I find amazing about him is, he is not afraid to speak his mind on defending the Chicago Police Department but he also is not afraid to criticize people and organizations who have agenda's against the CPD. Think about what he is doing: He has exposed Northwestern University for what it is: A far left liberal place of learning. When one considers that Northwestern University has two vary prestigious school's. Northwestern School of Journalism and Northwestern Law School. Northwester's Law School has produced numerous attorneys who work in Chicago its collar counties. The other is the School of Journalism. The School of Journalism has graduated many of the cities top journalists. These same journalists control the local media's narrative regarding the CPD. I have come to appreciate Prieb's defense of the department and its members. He has exposed not only unethical but also criminal conduct by attorneys and institutions whom, for a variety of reasons, are attacking Police Officers both active and retired. This latest blog posting is another example of his unending quest in exposing the true nature of the city's leading police critics. This Police Officers is leading a one man fight in defending the department and it's members. I think every Police Officer should thank Off Prieb. I would hope that we join him in his fight because IT IS ALSO OUR FIHGT. No Police Officer should go through with the Detectives had to go through that were involved in the Anthony Porter case, the Fahey and OBrien case, the Hobley case, and on and on. There have been several posting regarding Prieb running for President of the FOP. I don't know if he would want to or if he is interested. What I do know is we need a person who has the guts to speak out on incidents and issues that are important to us. We need a leader who is not afraid to take on the establishment. We need a leader who is not afraid to defend us like the Union Leader of the New York City PD. Unfortunately, at the present time we do not have such a leader. Reading today's Chicago Tribune(27 May 15)in the lead article stated Rahm is seek a delay in paying the $500 million into the pension fund. The article goes on to say that FOP President Dean Angelo could not be reached for a commit. I believe that if Prieb or someone like Prieb was the FOP President, he would have made himself available for a commit Rahm's delay pension plan?

Yes, Hope died in prison, but the other guy who was convicted of shooting the two off duty sheriffs at the McDonalds, Alton Logan, was set free a few years ago, despite the face that the surviving deputy swore it was him. Blame that scumbag Richard Kling for that one.
