Trib Gets One Right
- Chicago police are alerting women on the Northwest Side to be careful after a man groped several women in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.The man is wanted for criminal sexual abuse involving the women on July 26 and July 27, according to police.
- The man is described as a white Hispanic man between 19 and 30 years old. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He weighs been 155 and 160 pounds and has a slim build and short dark hair.
The man was wearing a black hoodie with a white t-shirt and dark jeans in one instance and a white t-shirt and dark shorts in the other, police said.
Gotta make sure that the white females aren't profiling. But in every other single instance, let your imagination run wild? Morons.

Geeze! That sounds just like the offender of a burglary in the MontClare/Galewood neighborhood a couple of week ago. I think it was around Nordica and Bloomingdale and the homeowner had some decent video of the offender who seemed to be "shopping" in the victim's garage.
I don't think the police ever came to the scene and it probably got taken down to a THEFT FROM BUILDING with CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.

How does a white Hispanic man with dark hair look different from a while non-Hispanic man with dark hair? Besides, Hispanic either denotes someone from Spain or a language, not a race. There is no Hispanic race. Just give an accurate physical description and leave so called racial characteristics out of it.
It must Zimmermann, the only other time I have read of a White/Hispanic suspect.

A man in a wheelchair became our neighborhood’s latest mugging victim Wednesday when he was allegedly robbed at knifepoint in broad daylight.
The man, who resides in a Lincoln Park assisted living center, told police that an unknown offender pulled a knife on him in the 3000 block of Halsted, took his backpack, and fled on foot.
He described the offender as a “skinny, lanky” black man who stands about 5’8” tall. (CPD case HY363198)

I'll never understand why race gets selectively reported in news stories about crime. It's just another descriptor like age, height and weight. The description of the suspect is what matters. The very purpose of a crime news report is to inform the public and warn them of danger. How do you do that ? YOU GIVE A FULL DESCRIPTION !
