Retiree Killed
Survives a career in Chicago only to get killed during a home invasion in Arizona:
- Tragedy has struck a former Chicago police officer who was one of the department's first Native Americans.
He was killed in a home invasion in Phoenix, and now, his family is looking for answers.
The deadly home invasion is also puzzling Phoenix police officers.
The victim is Native American icon Jess Sixkiller. The 78-year-old was one of the first Native American Chicago police officers, and his family says he studied at Yale and fought for Native American civil rights his entire life.
Yale to CPD to Phoenix - and you can't even retire in peace any more.

From reading the article, I wouldn't be surprised if it was illegals who did this.
RIP. Damn heathens are everywhere. I wonder if it is an undocumented worker that did the deed? Lots of crime down there with illegals. He did have a great name for a cop, Jess Sixkiller.
RIP officer, RIP. Hope they get your killer.
Arizona = shithole
Just like everywhere else in America now.
Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
May he rest in peace.
I think I know how this turns out.
Another poor misunderstood group of illegal immigrants just doing the jobs Americans won't do.
Worked with hom once or twice in the 1970's. A really nice gentleman. Rest in Peace my friend.
I remember him as the Chief of Frontierland in the old 023. Those were rough and tumble days. RIP Warrior.
REST IN PEACE DEAR BROTHER
Rest in Peace our brother.
Thank you for your service and dedication.
This is so far beyond foul.
No rest or mercy for the perpetrators.
God Bless our departed brother and his family.
Phoenix and Tucson are rife with violent thugs let in through because Obama refuses to properly police the southern border.
Just not safe anywhere. Was it illegals from across the border?
May he RIP thugs are everywhere nothing more to say! The thin blue line just got thinner!
OT A shout out to any retirees from the class of 27 Sept 1965 who were with me and still are 50 years today after we were sworn in as police officers.
I didn't know him. But from what I read, he spent his life serving the people he believed in. An Indian saying, ( I think Lakota ) it's a good day to die. Meaning, he served his life well. May the earth and sky bless you. RIP your mission is over.
No offender information?
Phoenix and most of Arizona is a shit hole because of all the illegals that just cross through the border. Once here they do as they please. The only presidential candidate that is talking about this is Trump.
Rest easy brother.
My prayers are with his family, especially his wife who has much to bear.
Had one like this here not too long ago, south side? Home invasion on elderly retired, visually impaired ofc., seem to recall they injured him badly, screaming for "the safe" to be opened. Was there even a safe? Like "In Cold Blood."
A life well lived. May he find Peace.
Thought Arizona, like Texas, was supposed to be this great Law & Order haven?
I mean, come'on! The invincible and mighty Sheriff Joe and all.
Welp, there's always Alaska, I suppose.
RIP brother. Thank you for all you've done
May the lord keep you and have you in his arms. You are finally at peace for everything you fought. Having said that, Jess Sixkiller is a badass name. Wouldn't of messed you in the day
Phoenix has a Democratic mayor.
a gang banger (lk asshole) took a baseball bat to my side view mirror..........my association sticker is affixed to the adjacent window. I questioned the asshole IR# today and of course the son of an illegal alien denies doing it.
$100 to fix while on pension is not easy on me. I have since scraped off that ass. sticker.
Terrible. Just terrible. Godspeed officer...

Not worth even communicating with the p.o.s.
In this anti-police, climate, even retired coppers would do well to just walk away from shit you never would have, once upon a time.
Hell, back in the day, you needed only to call your district of residence, and tell them a shithead fucked with a retired P.O., in any shape, form, or fashion.
By the end of that tour, said shithead would've been delivered a message: LOUD and fuckin CLEAR!!! And likely with a measure of PAIN.
There I go, dwelling in the past again.

We have constitutional carry, no permit needed if you're not a prohibited person. We also have permits for out of state carry.
Our problems are related directly to the porous border and the violence from drug smuggling. And the usual street crimes from puke gang members.
It's much safer and beautiful here, especially where I am in northern AZ. Sheriff Joe is great, unlike Dart.
