- A 9-year-old boy was shot to death just doors from his grandmother's house in the Gresham neighborhood Monday, and police said they could not rule out that he was targeted.
That would be a truly sad commentary on the state of the city right now.

It's not the "city" per se...it's the residents of the south and west sides. No one is shooting nine year olds in my neighborhood.

What could that kid have done or said or been to deserve to be exectuded in such a manner? This is indeed sad and there is nothing law enforcement could have done at that moment to have prevented his murder. You won't see any of the "outrage for profit" pimps saying anything at all.
We can not civilize the uncivilized. We can not police the unpoliceable. We can not parent in the absence of responsible parenting. We can not instill morals when children are shown nothing but immorality.
Our purpose is to provide a measure of safety for the community. It has become apparant to police officers nationwide that many in the community don't want us, will actively attempt to defeat us and will use technology and media to harass and revile us. Liberals, media and many progressives and Democrats are complicit in the deconstruction of law enforcement throughout the United States.
Individual police officers have adapted to the current anti-police attitude and are taking care not to place themselves in any situation which could adversely affect their employment, health, safety and freedom.
The system is fractured, nearly broken beyond repair and those who have manufactured this current climate and continue to destroy it are the only ones who can repair it.
That is not going to happen. So, in the void created by these irresponsible people, children like this will continue to be sacrificed at the altar of violence and "ghetto culture".

Diversity is a painful way to enforce fairness in hiring. Example. My father was one of the first paramedics in Chicago and that would make him one of the first black paramedics. Prior to this that position did not exist and firefighters made life fucked up for him. Eventually shit smoothed over and now blacks are accepted in the department. And remember the police and fire did not even have any minorities for years and that was due to race. We used to discuss exams and I am curious as to why it is not done like the military. Everyone has access to the same exam, same practice tests, etc. Test scores only. Period. If you do not study you do not advance. Why complicate matters

A 20-year-old model who had just won a modeling contest was shot and killed Monday in Chicago, authorities said.
Kaylyn Pryor, of the 400 block of Callan Avenue in Evanston, was shot under her right arm near 73rd and South May streets in Englewood, Chicago police said. She was later pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Also shot was a 15-year-old boy, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a police spokeswoman. He was shot in the right buttock and was in critical condition at Christ, she said. Police earlier said the boy was a documented gang member but have since retracted that information.
This fall, Pryor won the "Mario, Make Me a Model" competition. She competed with almost 500 other applicants over several months, leading up to a fashion show in Chicago on Sept. 25.
Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas, which sponsored the contest, released a statement from founder Mario Tricoci:
"We are saddened and broken-hearted to learn of the tragic passing of Kaylyn Pryor. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family. This touches every one of us who knew and worked with her. Kaylyn will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit. She truly was beautiful inside and out."
Pryor's death has generated an online outcry from those who knew her, demanding that people stop the violence plaguing the area.

Lets face it. These tragedies will continue until the inner city ghetto culture changes and that won't happen any time soon. There are too many in trenched interests that don't want things to change, and there is plenty of blame to go around. A culture that encourages fathers not to stay with their families. A culture that puts minimal value on education, and encourages young women to become pregnant as teens and out of wedlock. Blame the producers and studios that make big money polluting our children's minds. Blame a political party who preaches division and class envy, does nothing for the African American community but still gets over 90% of their vote. (Yes Democrats this means you). A nine year old was intentionally shot about a year ago in Grand Crossing. Not that unusual.
It was retaliation against his father who tried to shoot some rivals last week! But that will never come out!
The city is in turmoil and only one thing is holding back the tide, the erasing thin blue line. This Mayor should bump our pay on the next contract. All the politicians realize what we face yet begrudge us below the cost of living raises at contract time. It's fortunate for Karen Lewis to have a commodity that she can bargain with. When she strikes with the teachers everyone in the U.S. knows about it. Police have to trade paragraphs in a contract for a deserved raise.
With the 55 and out rapidly coming to an end and Sgt.s have to take it by May 2016 and Lt.s by Oct 2016 there will be an exodus that will rock this department. The only thing that will stem the tide of retirement is a guarantee now by the city that healthcare will not increase past the 2%. The poor retirees that pay for coverage now pay over $1,600 for family coverage per month and that number will go over $2,000 after Jan 2016.

Because the public for the most part is full of decent people who cannot understand how these "children" are raised under the liberal agenda. I'm a youth dick who regularly gets 12 and 13 yr olds with multiple page rap sheets including felonies like robberies and PSMV. I didn't see this many 10-15 years ago. The sad thing is Juvenile court screens most of this out so they can go out and offend again. Too many people of color according to Preckwinkle. Oh, by the way SCC just for your info cook county changed the point system to detain juveniles. They lowered the points for many crimes making it harder to get a kid detained. They never asked us at the area, just threw it on us.

Rather than call those who don't share your opinions "assholes, racists (the most over used word in the English language)and turds, why don't you tell us what the real issues are and what your solution is. Please don't tell us more money and social programs, we see how the last 50 years of that has worked out, and yeah many people have a false sense of entitlement, including many whites. What is also wrong with asking fathers to stay with their families, and kids to get an education? If you don't think that the violence and filth put out by Hollywood doesn't effect the impressionable minds of all races you need to wake up and smell the coffee burn. Yes the truth hurts and if by pointing this out makes me a racist then I guess that is what I am.
