Well gee, we had no idea Jesse was such an expert on legal investigations...from the police and State's standpoint we mean. We're pretty sure he's a well known expert on all sorts of other investigations.
Someone can correct us if we're wrong, but the feds have this one now, don't they? So the State has to take a back seat to any Federal charges that might be filed. We not fans of Anita, who is a corrupt Machine politico who hates the police, but Jesse's "cover up" claim is very obviously a play to Prickwrinkle's handpicked candidate for the State's Attorney job. If the feds stumble or punt, Anita is free to file state charges.
What really stood out was this paragraph later in the article:

NewsRadio 780 played this paragraph numerous times yesterday during their "reporting." No one bothered to check the HeyJackass.com website that shows that police have been involved in about 20 shootings this year - 7 fatal. There is no racial break down of the 2,655 shootings that didn't involve police, but black folks (and people) have been involved in 348 homicides so far this year - 80% of the Chicago total. So yeah, the police are DEFINITELY the problem here.
If we were asked this sort of question, we'd be kind of insulted that the media (Kass, Marin, Krauser, etc) think so little of the self-control of our people (and folks) that all they expect is riots and looting, but this lady's reaction kind of shows she thinks (and expects) the same thing, which is a sad commentary on the entire community.

I still find the most important of Rev. Jackson's work to be his rendition of "Green Eggs and Ham". It should be required viewing.

Ask the young, black men about the shootings (and killings) of young, black men. Do you know what's missing in large parts of the black community? Mirrors. There are a lot of answers in the mirror.

The race of non-lethal shooting vics is never reported, however looking at the neighborhoods and demographics of the neighborhoods were people are getting shot, we'd estimate that 85-90% of all shooting victims are black. We're confident that the demographics of Mt Greenwood, Beverly, Edison Park, Lincoln Park and Lakeview are not adding much, if anything, to the totals - police-involved or otherwise.

The officers involved responded to that call with the expectation to save somebody's life, to keep danger away from the few citizens who were in fear of their lives, to take a violent subject off the street and to a hospital. Now they are all villains. They didn't let Laquan stab, injure or kill them first. That's the mentality. The CPD, the City and the St. Attys hasn't any confidence or concern of the officers state of mind, just prosecution.

Oh, I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing that what's taking so long is that they are actually doing a legitimate investigation which may actually prove that the officer acted within the scope of the law. I saw the video. Saw no violation of the law. Thanks for being so supportive of your fellow officers though.

Hey Noone on here gives two shits how "bad" the video may appear. If it was as terrible as it seemed then why such a long delay from potentially "charging " anyone involved. Everyone with any time on this job can tell you we will survive the release. Wasn't it a few years ago a PO from 007 was on video shooting some suspect in the back several times as he lie on the ground face down??? Then the PO admitted he was drinking before his tour that morning.... How'd that riot turn out....? They held a press conference explaining why they didnt charge the PO. Did any riots break out??? Enough with monday morning q'b this incident. Obviously it's not as open and shut as it appears or this incident and all involved would've been putting their homes up for bond this past spring / summer. I'm not saying it won't happen but enough already with the "it's so bad...oh my god.." Grow a pair. My 2 cents.

Yet the candidate for the top prosecuting officeholder in the county associates with a shakedown artist by a self-proclaimed man of the cloth named Jesse who has lots of single parent baby mammas. Not to mention the evaporation of federal monies slated to rise up the community via a jobs program. But the police are the bad guys.
The Pullman community needs leaders who have a moral compass to lead the community to the promised land. A leader like Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt fleeing an oppressive government sanctioned slavery comes to mind. How much wealth has the professionally accomplished swindler Jesse accumulated over the years?
I think what's taking so long is the city thought after paying out the 5 mil., the whole thing would just go away. Curious the determination will be made same week video is released. Just sayin'.
