- Four teens were injured when someone shot up their van in the Bronzeville neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, about 10 blocks south of where another person was shot a few hours earlier.
The most recent shooting happened at 48th Street and King Drive about 3:40 p.m. Two boys, 16 and 17, were shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital. A 16-year-old boy suffered a thigh wound and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and a 15-year-old boy suffered cuts from broken glass and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital.
Their conditions were stabilized, and police said none was cooperating with police. Two of the three shot are "known to police" and "probably were" involved in an earlier shooting in the 3700 block of South Michigan Avenue that left a 23-year-old man wounded, according to Eddie Johnson, Chief of Patrol for the Chicago Police Department. All three were Dunbar Vocational Career Academy students, he said.

The BIG question in all this is WHO IS GOING TO PAY ALL THE HOSPITAL COSTS?
This seems to be a question none of the media or the black(Amish? if you are PC) community wants to ask - or answer.
With all the money spent on supporting these black-on-black (Amish-on-Amish?) shootings, it's about time someone starts making an accounting of it AND reporting it to the public.

Monday our nation celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the mainstream media tripping over themselves to highlight the festivities. Many celebrations of dance and tributes to his message were held. So many political figures wanted to be associated with his legacy making that annual cameo appearance. His message of peace, Hope and Change has been hijacked by so many career politicians for self perpetuating advancements.
The memory of all the beautiful tributes and inspirations on his birthday were shattered on the street named in his honor. Several students from Dunbar H.S. were shot in the 4800 block of MLK drive in the ultimate disrespect of his memory, his legacy. It did not take 24 hours for the usual suspects to disrespect his honor and get back to gangland business. It is not clear if this incident was connected to an earlier shooting of two who are scheduled to enter your child’s college on a variety of tuition paid in full scholarships.
Geographically, this carnage occurred within minutes of the elitist upscale Hyde Park which is home to Constitutional scholars some of whom hold high political offices and blocks from the Rainbow PUSH collation headquarters which coincidently formed a grass roots coalition with the Black Lives Matter political front group.
Two of the students were shot in the back. It is not clear if their hands were up in a don’t shoot posture. Cap and gown pictures were not immediately available but sources said the victims sought careers as entrepreneurs, electrical engineers, hip hop artists and community activists. It is not immediately clear if any investigatory stop report and associated stop receipts were generated during this investigation by the police.

When I'm on the streets working I like to play educational trivia with the fine CPS youths. I ask them questions such as who is Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, Martin Luther King. The responses I get are disgusting. Malcolm X is some college, Medgar Evers they have no clue about and Martin Luther King has been referred to numerous time as "some n!*#er that fought for us or something". How appalling. White children know more about black history then a majority of black children especially those in the CPS system. How appropriate that these wastes of society get shot up On MLK drive a day after a holiday named in his honor. He must be looking down and be so proud.

The preliminary investigator -beat car- can get the same non-sense before the detectives. The public should see the hooting and hollering that goes on at some of these crime scenes. Nothing like a west side crime scene on a hot summer night.

A shooting in broad daylight on a major throughfare...shows word is getting out among the thugs that the police arent stopping people as much, and there is no fear of apprehension by authorities, so let the bullets fly. Incredibly, Rahm was out of town attending a conference on police-community relations led by, of all people, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings- Blake, who told her police to stand down during riots and looting in her city, which made the damage and the duration of the riots much worse. Rawlings-Blake, after a firestorm of criticism for mishandling the riots, announced she will not be seeking re- election as Mayor, so why is she leading this conference? Its like the Captain of the Titanic giving safety lessons to Capt. Rahm of the S.S. Chicago.

The theory you refer to, 'survival of the fittest', has been impeded, in it's efficiency, by the dedicated interference of civilized mankind.

Considering there are so many wounded, I think a practice range with instructors is warranted. I further suggest setting up a "Drive By" range where shooting from a moving vehicle could be taught and practiced.
