- About 200 protesters gathered outside the Chicago Patrolmen's Federal Credit Union on Saturday, their breath visible in the cold air as they chanted, their fists pounding with each cry.
They were determined to shut down Saturday morning's business for the credit union, across the street from the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7, Chicago's police union. For nearly two hours, Black Youth Project 100 Chicago Chapter members, dressed in black T-shirts with the words "Fund Black Futures" written across them, linked their arms together to form a barricade around the bank's front desk, stopping workers from conducting business.
"The FOP's advocacy of CPD has helped perpetuate cycles of criminalization that especially plagues low-income black communities," BYP 100 member Jennifer Pagán said. "These politicians, that these organizations and institutions, like the FOP, would rather police us, kill us, lock us up, than meet demands of better housing, mental health clinics, fully funded neighborhood public schools and jobs programs with fair wages for all of us."
The FOP's what now? "...advocacy of CPD..."? These commies don't know that the relationship between employer and employee is necessarily adversarial? And the Credit Union is in the business of housing, mental health and schools.....since when exactly? And they want funding for "black futures?" Like what exactly?
Do these people have any idea how many billions of dollars (yes, billions) are available simply if they stay in school, hold a job, buy a home, form a company, express interest in bettering their situations....simply because of the pigmentation of their skin? We fund all of this through taxes, now they want the Credit Union to do it, too?

I saw a news story on this demonstration, and Channel 7 conveniently forgot to mention the part of the demonstration where the protesters shut down the credit union. The story only covered the march down the streets. That being said, 80% of the protesters were hipsters from Logan Square.
I'm surprised that they were even let within 500 ft of a credit union. The aggregate credit score of the mob was probably sub 300.
Why aren't they going to their local churches and asking them why their donations aren't being put to programs for the youfs!

Lets blame the Police for generations of folks who just refuse to live a meaningful lifestyle and take care of the children they see fit to bring into this world and then ignore. Until certain segments of society begin to take responsibility for themselves and stop leading criminal lifestyles, these issues will continue. After all, they have to blame someone as they refuse to accept their own shortcomings. A simple way to explain the crime problem, would be to examine the Police reports which are filed. Look at the race of the offenders and of the victims. I believe one would see that it is people of color who are "criminalizing" others of color by the allegations which are contained within these reports. It is only after these reports are filed, that the Police must engage in the administration of justice for the victims who made the initial report. The Police and the courts can't be blamed for criminalizing persons who willingly engage in criminal behavior with no regard for the rest of society. Its too bad the media, the reverends and the politicians won't point the finger of blame at the responsible parties. I guess blaming the appropriate folks would be politically incorrect. Let's just let the guilty parties continue to tear this country apart with the death and destruction which they are allowed to sow upon society. Demonstrations are fine and legal when done without breaking the law. Areas Should be provided for such demonstrations so people can express their constitutional rights. However when laws are broken such as blocking traffic and blocking people from going into stores, doing business etc on Michigan Ave or any business district then arrest should take place. Truth is the "leaders" of this city, state are afraid to stop this. Everyday people who shop, pay taxes, and support these demonstrators are denied their rights. Soon average people will stop shopping, moving and paying taxes. Then the progressive socialist will have nothing. I hope someone will stand up to these anti-Americans. Glad that I no longer have an account with "our" credit union, I would have been tempted to visit and that would not have gone well.
Sometimes, it's useful to completely ignore what someone or some group is saying, and just focus on what they're doing. In this case, they are in a bank demanding money. That's it. It's just a shakedown. They would use whatever argument they thought was best, or whatever reason allows them to sleep at night. But in the end, they're just doing what they always do -
"You owe me money from [INSERT PAST MISDEED]. Give me that money or else!"
In other words, doing what the Marxists taught them to do - continually harry us, bleeding us of resources and time.
After a CPD decision maker got on the scene at the credit union and informed them that they will be arrested if they fail to leave, only then did they leave.
this sucks, my wife and I were about to transfer our money from Chase into the credit union and open an account for her and my two kids. Now, I'm going to hold off and see what their response is. If nothing, no arrests, no complaints being signed on their behalf, not one asshole goes to jail, any donation given to their "cause"... I'm out. I am not going to worry about my wife stopping there by herself with my two young kids. This crossed the line. This is a Federal Credit Union.

Look at the protesters, same type of folks who have refused to be productive members of society for decades. Sorry but that opportunity has passed.
BLM is not much more than a Social Media flash mob. They are effective only in that they can extort and intimidate legitimate businesses and concerns. Give us what we want or we will shut you down. Politicians fear them because they are lawyered up and they, unlike cops VOTE, VOTE, VOTE and VOTE again.
Now that they have their act together we can't march on City Hall because we will be met with throngs of these parasites. We need to act in our neighborhoods and take advantage of the anti-Rahm feeling and vote the SOB out. That or find the evidence to convict him into Club Fed.
