Another Party Bus Shooting
We don't know about any one else, but any "party bus" should be automatic probable cause:
- Five people were wounded as they left a party bus in the South Shore neighborhood early Thursday, among 11 people shot across the city since Wednesday.
The driver of the bus said more than 30 people were celebrating a birthday. He said he didn't have any problems until he dropped some of them off in the 7000 block of South Paxton Avenue around 2:10 a.m. and heard more than 30 shots.

OT. Rivers Casino paid a 1.65 million dollar fine for hiring United Service Co to provide security and cleaning services.
This was just a pre-event celebration by the non-working class heralding the arrival of the Constitutional scholar at that European modeled university in Hyde Park. In downtown Chicago in the 18th district and the 19th district Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday some clubs and bars promote what they call "urban nights". They let ghetto ass promoters promote parties Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Now the ghetto element is slowly coming in on Friday and Saturday nights. Just look at Clark Street on a typical Friday or Saturday night. You have packs of male 1's soliciting drugs all up and down Clark Street. In the 18th district last Saturday night at 7 W. Division Street there was an aggravated battery against a p.o. and a sgt. Of course felony charges were denied. Three female 1's decided they were going to challenge the police because "this ain't the 1850's no mo" according to one of them. Slowly but surely the prime tourists spots of State Street, Michigan Avenue, Water Tower Place, the night scene, etc. is slowly becoming ghettoized.
What is the solution to the ****** question???
The news interviewed a resident who was fearful of having her face on camera for fear of her life. She described the everyday violence. I'm sure she votes. The hollow rhetoric of Hope it Changes for the past seven years of this political slogan or words has resulted in no identified results only to get worse.
Alderman Leslie Hairston represents this South Shore neighborhood. After her accomplishment of failing to bring her campaigned promise of a Target Store to south shore, Hairston is proposing an ordinance to replace IPRA with a "citizen police monitor". Never mind the exponential increase in murders, shootings and robberies. The police have been the problem all along. Criminals are the new victims in her warped mind influenced by leftist radicals.
Ald. Hairston was quick to assemble her own version of a citizen police monitor. Maybe she devote some of her aldermanic part-time duties for full time pay and propose a task force combatting Fifth Ward violence comprised of H/G/S/L/G/B/T crime detectives, gang crime officers, special prosecutors, forensic investigators, department of corrections hospitality welcoming committees and experienced community policing officers.
Her constituents live in fear each and every day while she attempts to diminish the effectiveness of law enforcement and abolish the use of tools which would bring back a civilized order to the community outside of her identified upscale Hyde Park. Shame on you Ald. Hairston. The whole world is watching.

I look at the tremendous impact the new boss had when he joined the troops to honor a young girl suffering from cancer. The Boss led us on a two block foot march in the rain to this girls house. On that day everybody in Gresham felt 10 feet tall. We got so much love from the public it was incredible. Neighbors came out and actually brought cookies, ice cream and coffee and served coppers. It was incredible.
Yes I'm frustrated as hell but willing to give the Eddie Johnson a chance. He is one of us and understands Chicago. Superintendent Johnson deserves our support and not our cynicism. And as far as the Lt's exam, you guys need to level up and protect the citizens as we have sworn to. Not entirely true. POs can stop any truck which fails to display a safety test sticker. The truck must have a D plate or higher and not be displaying a US DOT number. If it has a US DOT, a state safety sticker is not required. The sticker is on the lower driver's side corner and it has MO/YR of expiration displayed. 625 ILCS 5/13-111

The students in the area probably heard the tinted-window-rattling, eardrum bursting bass emanating from the bus several blocks before it came into view and they didn't realize it was jes' a paaaahtaaay! They were probably just a little upset at having their beauty sleep interrupted after spending the evening doing homework. It was a school night.

My birthday falls on a week day this year. No party bus or clubs for me. I'll wake up bright and early and head off to work and then at the end of the day I'll fall into bed at my usual time so I can get up and go to work the next day. Boring stuff to some, I'm sure. But a pretty good way to ensure I won't end the day with more holes in my body than I had when I woke up. Where did all this over the top birthday nonsense come from? The Daily Mail (UK) ran the story about the robbery/rape/murder of 18-year-old Haruka Weiser on the U. Texas Austin campus, committed by one Meechaiel Khalili Criner. They showed a picture of hundreds of people who had gathered at a memorial service on the quads. I saw exactly ONE black girl in the crowd -- and they cropped the picture to put her front-and-center.

I think these new things called metal detectors and manual wands can tell. Go ahead and try it out. You never know when you will need a snub or .380 at the old ball park. Someone needs to be an example. I have survived many baseball games without a gun. Gun was in my locker 2 blocks away.
