Cops Rescue Two (UPDATE)
From a few days ago: (UPDATE: a few days plus one year)
UPDATE: so this popped up in our Tribune feed after we searched for CPD stories, and it turns out it was from a year ago. No idea if we covered it then, but our mistake. Still a good job though.
- Police rescued two men from a fiery crash early Friday in the Gage Park neighborhood.
Officers Hector Fuentes and Peter Gurskis were on patrol in the 8th District on Friday when they saw a small sedan cross into oncoming traffic, crash head-on into a truck and burst into flames.
The officers took immediate action and pulled two men to safety before flames enveloped the car.
"We couldn't wait on the fire department to show up," Fuentes said, following the crash. His partner agreed.

Scc...this happend on 03april 2015. Not to knock it down---still a good job from those two officers.
Fire would have gotten there sooner if Mayor Shortshanks hadn't closed fire stations during his reign and cut manpower, something the present mayor will never correct.
Good job, guys. Congrats.
Good Job!
Nothing new with these two officers, both men are copper's cops.
Good job gentlemen.
Nice job gentlemen.
Where's the video on this? Chicago needs a CPD motovotional video.
As I have so frequently heard over the years, God made Police so Firefighters would have Heroes.
Well done gentlemen.
