First Warm Weekend

  • The nicest weather weekend of the year thus far brought violence into focus once again in Chicago, leaving 3 dead and 28 injured in shootings across the city by Sunday evening. The victims included a 1-year-old girl wounded while riding in a car, a father of two killed outside his childhood home, and a police officer injured by a pellet gun.
The NBC count stopped around 5 PM, so there's still the potential for more mayhem. Plus, this is Spring Break for CPS, so it might be an interesting week.

Why does 019 District have 5 tactical teams when other teams in the city only have 3?
If they managed their personal properly, they wouldnt have 9 openings every period.

It's The Police who are out of control...
If only they could be punished for rebelling against
their social and political betters by withholding
Police Services from the "communerty."

It's their fault that the "communerty"
dance of death is spiraling in an ever tightening
circle to the point of going supernova.

A flash that will be seen way before the explosion is heard.

...The first of many warm weekends to come, SCC.

Respond.
Drop a report.
Call the body snatchers.
watch CFD hose the blood, shit, brains,
skull fragments and teeth into the gutters.

Don't even bother pretending to care
by asking "whodunit?"

"Fuck y'all axin' us fo'?
Hey yo, don't tell da Po-leece SHIT!
Dat's y'all job to figuh out an' shit!"

Interfere as little as possible in tribal affairs
lest YOU end up as the latest Yoo-Toob sensation
and end up having to suffer the indignity of the
feds, the aclu and #bl(a)m having a free hand in
rifling you & your family's underwear drawer
and displaying the contents sunny-side-up just
because you're a captive by virtue of municipal
employment.

M/Fers would be terrified of treating free men in this
manner because of more than certain push-back and
if need be, retaliation.

Perhaps it's time for Policemen to finally hit back.

Why are we the only ones adhering to a "Gentleman's Agreement"
and a de facto, very one-sided non-aggression pact?

28 injured?

Let's see -
$250,000 x 28 = $7,000,000 in costs for care of gunshot wounds. Double it, if you're using $500,000 per person as a cost ($14,000,000).

The victim is 36 years old, and police said she was not cooperative and had been drinking."

Whaaaa?

She could have walked to St. Joe's in no time, or hit any one of the North Side hospitals before venturing all that way south. "Not cooperative" must be hiding a hell of a story.

Polo was his name, was out seeking his fame. Thought that shooting up the town was just part of the game.

He was a good boy his mother said, it's the Poleese fault he ended up dead. He din't have no gun, it's all a big lie, all the cops are racists as her eyes turned red. Then the facebook page came out as all have read.

The truth is Polo wouldn't be dead, if from the police he wouldn't have fled. He could have dropped the gun, snugged up his belt, any of these actions he wouldn't have bled.

On the bright side Polo earned his cred but on the flip side he ended up dead!

OT: Here's one more example of how the working police get kicked around by their own department. In 004, there is a vendeteria in the basement for officers to use for breaks and lunch. It's nothing special, but there is a microwave and a sink in addition to the usual vending machines and tables, and the room does get used by us "brown-baggers" who bring a lunch, especially on the 1st and 3rd watch, as there are no restaurants open. Now we have been told that the vendeteria will be off-limits, because the "406" teams and the detectives need more office space, so they are remodeling the room and building a new wall to seal it off. We can eat in the roll-call room, where there is no microwave or sink, or in the lobby, where we can share our lunches with the homeless who gather there to sleep.

And they wonder why morale is at an all-time low???

That's not fair. I'm sure they all signed up for nobama care. After all its the law.The penalty’s cost is calculated in one of two ways: You’ll either pay a percentage of your total household adjusted gross income — which you’ll figure on your annual tax return — or a flat rate, whichever is greater. Your tax return will also help you determine your penalty amount.

Each year, the penalty will increase to keep pace with inflation and encourage people to buy coverage.

For tax year 2015, the ACA penalty is 2% of your total household adjusted gross income, or $325 per adult and $162.50 per child, to a maximum of $975.

For tax year 2016, the penalty will rise to 2.5% of your total household adjusted gross income, or $695 per adult and $347.50 per child, to a maximum of $2,085.

For tax year 2017 and beyond, the percentage option will remain at 2.5%, but the flat fee will be adjusted for inflation.
Now you can see why the third world country residents don't sign up for nobama care.

&&&&&&&&

A life is a life no matter who it is. Sorry tax payer in the suburbs, but life in the city and in the ghetto is real. People die, and they die in an aweful way. I have watched numerous people laying in the street die and take their last breath. As a young copper it was "cool" in a sick and wired way, more than likely because I thought like you... I didn't know how life really was in tough places. I don't like thugs more than the next guy but watching people die isn't cool. It's still a life and there is no coming back from it. As I get older and more experienced I realize that life, for all is actually a good thing. I don't wish death on anybody, it's bad karma. If u want to change your mind you should really see what death and dying really is. I had to deal with it in the marine corps and I have to deal with it now here as a copper watching these guys get killed. Don't wish for death, any amount of money is ok to try and save a life no matter who it is. It must be nice in your suburban hideaway to wish death on people you don't know or know what they gotta deal with in the ghetto.. And for the record yes I'm white... But working in the ghetto long enough makes you realize these kids have no chance and from the get go are doomed... It's sad. They grow up not knowing any better and it's not their fault. Enjoy the burbs

Shootings are up 85% in Minneapolis Minnesota this year. Proactive Police stops are down about 50% in the fourth precinct (majority AA) where all the shootings are.

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2016/04/the-obama-crime-wave-comes-to-minnesota.php

The Minneapolis Police are getting fetal too?

It is the same precinct where police were accused of shooting a handcuffed yute after he was beating on his GF.
He was threatening her and the EMTS. The police came to the rescue of the trapped EMTS, and he ended up dead.
They had protests, street closures and they even camped on the fourth precinct lawn for a few weeks.

Are you kidding? More "education" will go on at the Lucas Museum than through all those hacks at all the schools.

Plus, the Lucas Museum is a draw - a Destination - as they would say in Regional Economic Development. It will generate money for the City (Tourism)

The schools aren't a draw. No one is moving to Chicago to get their kids enrolled in the School System.

Let that sink in. NO ONE is moving to Chicago to get their kids enrolled in the School System.

Teachers - and everyone else in that money pit, need to take an immediate 10% cut. You shouldn't be rewarded for doing a bad job.

All this rhetoric about striking because the 13.5% raise with the increased payment into the pension plan is a net loss.

WAKE UP. Just about everyone paying taxes has taken cuts in pay for many different reasons and most did not deliver a mediocre to piss-poor product.

With a Defect rate of 50% or more (the number of CPS Graduates vs. dropouts), you don't deserve any raise - you don't deserve what you are getting paid today.

Welcome to 'Mogadishu By The Lake' , aka 'Chicagadishu', where you too can become a Homicide Statistic. No effort on your part is required, just be within the city limits.

In beautiful Chicagadishu you can catch a bullet at any time of the day or night, and at any place within the city. Good neighborhood, bad neighborhood, rich neighborhood, poor neighborhood. It makes no difference today.

You can be misidentified by a Gangbanger, be talking to the wrong person, just be riding in a car, standing sitting or walking, in a city park or window shopping on Michigan Avenue. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere -- BANG!! -- you're dead.

But please remember to let your surviving relatives know that the problem isn't the shooter, nope. Don't blame that person. The problem is the Chicago Police Department. Just ask Mayor Rahm, the Black Lies Matter agitators, and the ACLU.

Welcome to AREA 4 NEW old detectives!

I know the absepestos might trigger an allergy.

The lead in the paint will build character.

The brown sink water you use for coffee will make you see double.

LET THE LASHINGS BEGIN

Sounds like a serious O.S.H.A. complaint to me.
Drop a dime.

OSHA will not get involved.
Many Police facilities are known cancer clusters.
Any real 3rd party investigation into this will
lead to the financial ruin of Chicago when
it comes out that the city was aware of the conditions
in these places for many years and took no corrective
action.

Can't remember exactly how the oversight hierarchy
goes but either the city "self investigates" or it falls
under the purview of the State.

Hah and double hah...

Actually, the Feds could plausibly intervene
seeing as how CPD does get federal money?

Our right to have a safe workplace is wandering
in a legislative No Man's Land.

Hell... They had to turn off the screening machines
at HQ because the people manning them were diagnosed
with cancer.

And if anyone were interested in doing some digging,
the archive at the Medical Section is a treasure trove
of information on Policemen diagnosed with Cancer
and the toxic places they were assigned to.

HIPAA safeguards and shields aside...
The Mayor's Office will never come clean or make
those diagnosed, dying and deceased Officers and
their families whole for their exposure to these toxic
working environments.

Not just cancer either.
Those lingering hard-to-pinpoint
upper respiratory ailments too.

But it's all good.
People are pissed about Policemen
"retiring way too young and getting a pension."

Overall?
No fucks given because it's
"just those Cops."

5:32pm....No quiet room in 009 anymore. It's used as an office now for one of the 30 front office people they have to hide.

4/19/2016 12:56:00 AM

Why am I not surprised at this?
And I'd bet the 'office' is unoccupied almost all the time.

Don't worry there young fella the audit is done on inside spots the world is getting ready to rock, the supt is looking everything over, retired coppers being interviewed for these cake spots, your full duty soon be the "police" not secretaries with guns anymore, don't believe it watch! It's not so much a "secret" anymore you knew it was coming well the train is picking up speed, the mayor and aldermen like this idea, the revs are in favor it was great while it lasted, but now with the biometric scanning in and out the advantage to inside ducks are eliminated, and the court game is over!

"Any amount of money is worth saving a life". Spoken like a true liberal. You forgot the second part, "As long as it's not my money."
The money spent trying to save those destroying the city is obscene. They die awful deaths. Yeah they do. At the hands of their very own brothas and sistahs. This is their culture, that and all their failures are somebody else's fault.
Am I pissed? Hell yes! Jesse Jackson owed THREE MILLION DOLLARS in taxes, but that was forgiven. My wife and I made just above the poverty level. We don't live on welfare. But we damn sure have to pay our taxes.
If they want to shoot the hell out of each other, fine. Stick a bandaid on them and send them back out the door.
The Police ARE NOT the problem! Its liberal minority democrats with guns that are the problem.
Stay safe Officers. Its not Independents or Conservative Republicans you have to watch out for.

So here is the real truth. Area North is NOT moving to area4. The have devised a plan that when you return from your RDO'S THE DICK WILL SPEND THIER FIRST 2 DAYS WORK OUT OF THERE. THEN THE NEXT GROUP WORKS 2 DAYS ETC. SO THE RUMOR DIES NOW.

Who cares? Let me guess the detectives that claim "I work afternoons put in 40 hours overtime a week in court" your the cause of the new timekeeping biometric thanks for ruining a good thing it helped patrol get some courtesy for good arrests!

So, if a detective does it, it's theft, but if YOU do it, it's a 'courtesy'? I'm laughing so hard, I can hardly type this.

We can eat in the roll-call room, where there is no microwave or sink, or in the lobby, where we can share our lunches with the homeless who gather there to sleep.

you think that's bad the second district is much worse
