Public Service Announcement
As a condition of our Community Service hours, we present the answers to the 2016 City of Chicago Ethics Exam. This training is meant to make sure everyone is following the rules, to enure "good government" is taking place across our fair city, and no one is taking bribes or gifts or benefiting from connected contracts being thrown in their laps.....unless you're an aldercreature, ward boss or sleeping with a Subject Matter Expert before a promotional exam is given:
- Part 1 = yes no yes yes
- Part 2 = yes no yes yes no
- Part 3 = no yes no no
- Part 4 = no yes no yes
Remember this test is impossible to fail - if you get a wrong answer, the program kicks you back to the question until you get it correct. There doesn't seem to be a section on "Cheating on Exams," but maybe next year.

Ethics exam in the city of Chicago is a joke. How can there be ethics when the 'well connected' are given answers to promotional exams, get hired because of who one knows - Hired Truck Scandal, and stays on the job or just gets recycled thru every city, county and state agency - Quarters Boyle - until someone forgets about him. Ethics? What a fucking joke.
Rules.
Regulations.
Ethics.
Accountability.
They're the merest of suggestions
for the clouted, pampered, taken-care-of
people on this job who have the protected
status of being somebody's somebody.
For the rest of you noisy, angry-for-no reason,
hateful and out of control blue-shirted churls?
They're the law of the land.
Know your place and stay in it.
You'll get nothing and be glad of it...
Now go generate some ISR's so when the
Feds convene their grand indictment party,
Rahm can reduce headcount by multiple thousands
and divert even more CPD earmarked funding to
pacify the chronic non-contributors.
The biggest criminals in the country run this city and force the minions below them to take an annual ETHICS test . ....UN FUCKIN BELIEVABLE ! ! !

In the essay section the first sentence begins with:
"Notify the Watch Commander" (Passcode from the early 80's Sgt's test)
Second paragraph starts with: "Notify the reverand".
And lastly, "Notify the alderman".

Don't forget about his brother, Lt. Jeffrey "Matches" Boyle, Chicago Fire Department; convicted of 8 felony counts of arson.

Dat's not very ettical there, SCC. How are we gonna make it look legit when you give the answers to da test to all deese guys?
Da Big Guy is gonna be pissed now. But that's ok, as long as he gets to keep all you City worker guys tied up here like slaves, he can live with youse guys beating his ettics test.
Good ting youse coppers aren't as ingenuitive about beating Residency as you are with beating an ettics test.
Happily retired in Arizona and just met my local State Representative. He mentioned he had just met another guy from Chicago, a former Alderman. I told him whoever it is he is a worthless, yet dangerous, POS.
Maryet, Nakia, Davina, and soon-to-be Lieutenant Saadia didn't need SCC's cheat sheet for the Ethics Training. Gene gave them the answers at the "study group" meeting. And high-scoring Sgt.Yolanda had them, too.
There are many who believe the Lt exam scandal will be thoroughly investigated by the IG and heads will roll. There is too much credible information to just blow this off.
The 1st person to step forward will save themselves and their career hint hint...
You either have it or don't ,ethics that is!
looks like the 11th n 19th wards are back in control
I'm going to take the ethics exam on overtime and use my three hours to read and study everything.

There is not a chance in hell anything will become of this. Cheat on an exam? So what! Heads will roll, spoken like a real newcomer to this city. Wrist slap followed by a stern lecture, if anything.
I purposely had one wrong. Don't want the city know that the fix was in. Are they still charging a $20 late fee?
10 minutes fast thanks SCC. Now I am going to pretty myself up for my exempt so i can be in a secret study group...
Some people/folks just don't know how to do it the right way.

Hopefully he is not planning on running for any office out there. Keep us posted, we spend 6 months in AZ.

You're confusing the ethics TEST with the ethics FORM.
And you CAN'T have one wrong on the test.
Good thing you have a police relative whose info ALMOST makes you sound like the police when you post on SCC.

Was your state rep visiting a federal correctional facility?
Here's a question for the next Ethics Exam: You show up for roll call and the New Lieutenant is the girlfriend/or ex-wife of an Exempt member of the police department. She has never been on the street, has spent her entire career shuffling papers in some Inside Job, and has the respect of nobody in the room. She begins the roll call by telling us to generate some ISR reports or we will be "counseled". What do you do? a. Immediately contact the Dept. of Justice and alert them to the fact that you are being told to stop innocent people to generate activity. b. Notify the Commander. c. Notify the Deputy Superintendent of Police and advise him/her to talk to his/her lover. d. Me Thinks you should call Sneed. e. All of the Above. f. None of the Above. (The answer is E, All of the Above) Baby "G"
To the poster who said he did his ethics exam in a minute, all I can say is...
Rookie.
Those who believe that nothing will come of this cheating scandal have lost sight of one thing. Something has already come of it, as it cost Gene Williams the chance to become superintendent. It is a job he has desperately wanted for years, and he was so sure that he would get it that he operated with impunity in his role as a promotional test developer. It is inconceivable that so many NOBLE board members from CPD have been promoted to sergeant or lieutenant and their only common denominator is Williams and NOBLE.
The IG should also put Deputy Chief Shear under oath in order to determine what he saw in regards to the "study group" meetings in their office. He is a front line witness to a lot of this misconduct.

Can tell you this doj is looking at everything in CPD,and this is being looked into might be after next presidential election when feds are permitted to indict but the gold star people have a lot of "splaning" to do. First on the bus gets the best seat, under the bus if not!

Quarters! Whatever happened to him? He walked into Murray's next door to the old 17 just after he got outta prison; going on 20 years ago. Did he ever look like he got the bum's rush. That was a sight for anyone that crime does NOT pay!!
