Did everyone see the NFL Draft this weekend? Yeah, neither did we.
Did anyone see any of that supposed $100 million supposedly generated during the event? Maybe in the form of a property tax rebate or a waived garbage collection fee or maybe even a pension payment?

At 12:42 p.m. police were notified that people who were protesting near the NFL draft were obstructing traffic, said [...], a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department.
The demonstrators caused Lake Shore Drive at Jackson Drive to be closed....
Seventeen women were arrested and charges are pending, according to [...] a spokesman for the Chicago Police Department.
And among the seventeen? Karen Lewis's follow-up act, Page "Fuck the Police" May. So Karen's hench-weasels are making enemies all over the place, among the cops and among the citizenry who just wanted to see the future of the NFL.

If at all any charges to be placed will be dropped in court. So let it be written, so let it be done. As with past arrest for like offenses, the charges have been dropped in court and the POS sent on their merry way to infest other locals.

The POS pictured in the link is Izzy, a BLM member who delivers for a Jimmy Johns in 001. The 17 arrested are "daughters of assata" and are worse than the BLM protesters we deal with. Many protests have one of these females grab the microphone and scream about the BLM members "not being ready for the revolution". They hate whites including the ones marching with and supporting BLM. Saturday's action took them about a minute to set up as they got out of a couple of vans already chained together and walked across LSD as the light was red. Sadly they were only charged with obstruction of traffic, not reckless conduct or any other "A" class misdemeanor that we can violate their I-bond on when they do this again before their court date... BTW, they were all out on I-bonds before 6 hours after being placed in custody.

Umm. That NFL Draft doesn't sound as if it was much of a success. How much did the City pay for this event? And it knocked off a bunch of dollars for the Draft to be in Grant Park and 45 Huge trucks lined Lake Shore Drive to block views or was that so bullets wouldn't fly? Rahm should trust Roger Goodell when he said they won't be back to Chicago next year.

Oh, and BTW Lori, your report is nothing more than a "put up' job.

But the CSU reliance on state subsidies is so much higher than other schools that they're first in line to take an extended "spring break". That's all. Forget the BLM noise and victimization politics.

Lewis didn't say anything about condemning Page May's rant or offering an apology for inviting her to speak at the teacher's rally, especially when Lewis knew full-well of May's platform. May even mentioned on Twitter the CTU knew of her agenda beforehand and she was a teacher in a private school.
Also what about Sarah Chambers? Chambers who tweeted the "speech" (aka rant) and supported the activist, is an executive member of the CTU board and acknowledges Assata's Daughters in her post and he continues to support May and her groups.

The CTU cannot make the police more helpful, whatever that means. If kids, even black and brown kids, commit crimes they are criminals. Except in the mind of Karen Lewis and most CPS school deans who have given up their schools to the thugs with the Restorative Justice concept.
CPS deans have replaced detentions and suspensions with hugs. It's a good thing CPO's are doing their jobs outside the CPS school. Look at Lake View High School in Rahm's neighborhood, FIFTEEN (15) arrests outside the school since March 1st, while they're been less than a handful of suspensions inside the school.
The NFL draft was "for the children."
And the 124,002 new jobs it created was for the parents of the children, to help feed and clothes them.

Chicago State seems to have a much higher number of " administrators" then most schools with more then 40% of its budget going for their pay and benefits. It has long been known as a patronage bastion of the Illinois Caucus. A certain poet was given a high paying post there but never seemed to be there. Time to cut a lot of the fat from this school, if you can call it that. The standards were pretty low, for a reason.
It wasn't 17 it was 7 women that chained themselves together around their waist in the SB lane Jackson/lakeshore took about 1hr for swat team to cut the chains and politely put flex cuffs and escort them to the wagon wearing all black clothing and maroon berets- Now as far as the NFL draft I will say it was a total flop the weather was terrible all weekend and I'm sure they didn't make all the money the anticipated to make during this event but thanks for cancelling my days off since Thursday and making me work 12hrs days for the entire weekend guess I'll go out and buy a Bears jersey now

Lori Lightfoot said on Chicago Tonight that blacks are arrested un proportionately more than white because Chicagos the most segregated city, is she saying we need more blacks in white areas to spread the violence evenly. I graduated from SIU many years ago. I saw students protesting there about the state budget impasse and racism. Many of the students were holding Black Lives Matter posters. I'll never donate to the school again because I'm afraid some of my contributions will be used to finance these students. A black sorority at SIU just put on a presentation called, " I can't breathe." I hope alumni from SIU and other universities join me in an attempt to cut off funding for radical instructors, students, and programs. When SIU contacts me for a donation, I'll explain to them why I'm not donating anymore.
So why are these protestors going after Rauner? I am no fan of Rauner, but if you are going to protest that there is no money for education, why not protest the state legislature that has been there for the last 20 to 30 years and has done nothing to assure the future of school funding. Oh...cause you would be protesting democrats then.

Seriously Need your help. Senate Bill ( SB-777), was passed last May 2015, and it extends Chicago’s payment (of 515 million dollars) into the Police and Fire Pension for another 10 to 15 years. The money is presently due by 31 Dec 2016.
The police and fire accepted this bill because there was to be a bill providing for a casino in Chicago, and all the profits from that casino would go into the police and fire pension for 5 years or until both were 90% funded.
This bill, (SB-777) was sent to the governor on the 31st of March this year. THERE IS NO CASINO BILL ATTACHED NOR IS THERE ANY RECORD OF ONE BEING PROPOSED. The governor can sign the bill, or leave in on his desk and in 60 days it will automatically become law.
We need you and your friends to call Governor Rauner in Springfield at 217-782-0244 and request that he VETO SB-777. Please do this as soon as possible. All you are required to do is to tell the person who you are and that you want the governor to veto SB-777.
You can also contact your elected state official and asked them to also contact the governor with this request.

Sorry darling, but when YOUR union keeps bringing her to YOUR events she becomes YOURS! If the CTU has members that are disgruntled with the leadership, why did no one run against Lewis. A union which does not hold an election to decide leadership is simply following in the footsteps of the communist party. But, did you notice the weather? It was COLD. It was RAINING. This is not what the NFL wants for their big outdoor party. It's gone.
A couple of 3" fire hoses connected to an American LaFrance pumper and this protest would have been over in a couple of minutes and traffic flow restored. Oh well, its nice to dream.

Teachers erased real history...that is one of the dumbest comments I've read on here. The teachers have no more control over the school district than patrolmen do over their police district. Like it or not. For the record, "real history" isn't even taught in American schools. Columbus isn't a murdering rapist who brought disease and pestilence...he discovered a land and the people there! Go back and read some more about events like the Boston Massacre (5 people killed from a growing crowd of people throwing objects at soldiers and taunting them to fire their weapons). Chicago State is an awful school. Less then 2% of students graduate in four years. 19% in six years. It has a history of corrupt administrations that waste tax dollar.
The school is a joke that should be shut down. The student loan default rate after three years is 13.4% national average is about 7%.
It gives minority students subpar education and big debts. Shut it down
