Another Nonsense Suit
- Eugene McSwain died during a traffic stop last July on Chicago's far south side. Now his family is suing the police and the city.
The man's father, Eugene McSwain Sr., claims his son was shot in the back of the head, even though he was not armed.
Maybe because he was shot by the guard officer who was paying close attention and saved his partner some serious damage. And the witnesses who gave stories that agreed with the facts as related by the police? And the gun recovered at the scene in your son's possession - that would be explained how again? Oh yeah, the crate-load of guns we carry around.
- The family is suing the officer involved and the city. The family is claiming police helped cover-up the shooting.
"They are covering up so much stuff now it's ridiculous. The people don't have nothing to say about it because when you bring something to them, they take it and shove it up under the table," said Eugene McSwain Sr.
Sounds like more of the mayor's "code" coming back to take a healthy chunk out of Rahm's ass - and taxpayers' wallets - for a completely justified and legal shooting.

Just another "player" trying to cash in on the "Ghetto Lottery".

Grieving parental units would not lie about the facts. It must have happened the way the male unit suggested. He would know his son best. The boy was lead baritone in his church choir and was going to start studying to be a missionary doctor in the depths of the Congo. Another young life cut down in it's prime by egregious malfeasance.

Families of deceased offenders get a free spin on the ghetto lottery wheel. Makes me sick to my stomach that they often become millionaires and are rewarded for having criminal offspring. Time to start suing the estates of these honor students.
Yes, the tone has been set by the progressives and reinforced by the mayor along with the police board. Now, everyone will jump in the pool with the hopes of a big payoff from the city . Nothing like a lot of people making things up and lying and there always is a shark lawyer ready to help for a quick settlement.

The city is 'allegedly' broke, yet, find the cash to pay these a-holes.
Too bad Leo's and families can't sue and/or counter-sue when an officer is discriminated, assaulted or killed by their precious offspring.
Because of Rahm and AHs in the media like Ahern and Marin, EVERY police shooting will be controversial.
If the media had any professionalism or integrity they would do a little research into these incidents, see if they are valid and if not, ignore them. But they have none so they run the stories and stoke the anti-police fire and enrage the beast.
Maybe someday a big nasty mob will storm their studios and trash them and the police won't be there to stop it.
I did not receive many CR's during my career. Make out of that whatever you want. However, each and everyone of them was a complete, blatant, bold faced lie. What don't citizens get that they don't understand that every person you lock up does not have warm and fuzzy feelings about you? Hence, the large ratio of unsustained complaints.

— Indeed you can file a lawsuit, judgements, property liens etc. for any injury, harm, defamation just like the regular folks.
Nowhere does it say we are punching bags, targets or not able allowed to pursue civil damages, even after a criminal case.
Don't settle with just the Medical Section for recuperation. It's not the only recourse.
They may not have or seem to have a pot to piss in now, but you just never know when the folks are going to collect on a GhettoLotto.
Monetary compensation comes in many forms, a lawsuit and a decent attorney will find all the hidden chattels.
