- Protesters on Wednesday repeatedly shouted down members of the Justice Department team investigating civil rights violations by the Chicago Police Department during a raucous public hearing on the South Side.
During a 90-minute meeting at Kennedy King College, Justice Department attorneys were at pains to explain the scope and potential impact of the probe of the Chicago Police that began six months ago, over jeers from about half the members of an audience of about 100 people. The meeting was the second of four planned by federal investigators as they prepare a report on the Chicago Police Department, a likely prelude to a court order that will mandate federal oversight of the city’s police.
Minutes into the meeting, a handful of demonstrators hooted over Justice Department attorney Cynthia Coe as she tried to explain how the federal investigation could lead to sweeping reforms. In a bid to restore order, moderator Rev. Torrey Barrett grudgingly began a question-and-answer session.
These people (or folks) are the epitome of "reasonableness" in the community, no doubt.

I talked to that lady at the meeting and told her I got fired by the racist people doing my job being a building inspector. I used to give the plumbers advise for
$ 100.00 and when they did it my way they passed inspection,
The lady said I could be chief of CPD and to name me price and I could only hire class 3 or below convicted felons from the community. I start Sunday and we will be taking over for you bad police and do it our way.
Mrs. Ratcliff said that all police to not come to work no more !! and us new police will find them jobs or give them Link for snacks and pop.

There are plenty of fine automobiles to be used for Patrol Division -- and every bad corner is already a foot post, sometimes for a dozen people. Mass arrests? Call the party bus to transport.
The parks are manned all night long. You have a surfeit of stolen modern firearms to use on each other, and every "protester" receives a brand-new T-shirt and ball cap as a uniform anyway, financed by some unknown source, as well as fluorescent vests and bullhorns. Everyone over age 5 has an expensive cell phone, so there is your dispatch system -- and there are so many "reverends" that every call can be attended by a whole team of Community Chaplains.
Everyone somehow gets an expensive downtown lawyer and has a "fambly spokesman," so there are your Legal and Public Relations people.
So many people wander the streets at all hours for nothing that I see no need for salaries, and Medicaid will pick up the tab for any IODs -- Gofundme is for elaborate funerals.
