Getting a Jump on Labor Day
When in doubt, arrest everyone....and hope County keeps them for the next two weeks:
- Chicago police arrested more than 100 people on mostly felony drug and weapons charges, the latest in a series of raids since May as the city continues to struggle with a surge in violence.
The operation was about six weeks in the making, police said. Officers from the Police Department's Bureau of Organized Crime made arrests from about 5 a.m. Thursday through Friday morning, targeting 15 gang factions selling narcotics and having illegal guns.
The 101 arrests took place in 15 of the city's 22 police districts, mostly covering crime-ridden portions of the South and West sides.
And 100 more arrests are planned - not that this is a quota or anything. No, no, no.....this is a targeted effort! Pinkie swear.

Why don't they just post the names of all the trouble makers. Or someone file a FOI and get the names and let's be done with this BS.
In a minute they won't have any names because NO one will be getting locked up. Where are they going to get names from when there is less police contact.
Labor day weekend will tell the story and we will know if it works.
The big question is: "what's Leo going to do with the trooper who shot at the car jacker downtown earlier tonight?
Who gives a fu*k! Why is anybody arresting anyone? Instead of the hair gels, I think the P.O.'s still making arrests should be referred to as "the Facebook police". Take your pictures of your dope and gun pinches, show them too your co-workers, friends, family, girlfriends, etc. Then maybe get a DC out of it, go stand on stage in your dress blues and take a picture w/ the fat mutt who just fired a bunch of officers! Nahh who cares about morale, sticking together, laying down, being team players on the same page doing nothing so this Savage S.I. & mayor can explain why there's 800 homicides, as long as you were able to fill out a Yellow slip and your pictures looked cool on FB right? This Dept. makes me sick to my stomach!
The story I read said 81% of those arrested were on the SSL.

On average there, you scooped 6 or 7 people per district.

I really screwed up and want to explain what happened. I have just under 6 years on the job. I put in to work for VRI Labor Day weekend forgetting about the FOP asking us not to work. I called to cancel the day I was given (never got one before). I was told I would be suspended from the program for 6 months and a CR issued. I was told the City implemented this policy for only the Labor Day weekend. Is this for real or a scare tactic. No one from FOP called me back yet. If I end up working I plan to donate all my earnings for the day to the Chaplains Ministry.

On another good friend works with federal lawyers group, I told him I was going to qualify with my weapon at range, he asked me the course how many rounds told him 30! asked what was passing? i said "21" he said good 21 max 22 is best! Asked why? You probably know the answer! It is because when your involved with a shooting your records of qualifying are requested and if your a "perfect" shot and hit an innocent you give defense lawyers more to dig into,if your proficient then their cause it why did you miss this time! Makes sense, called the range boss and was told that yes they do request your records even though we qualify once a year!

The Chicago Crime Commission put out that in a book every year or so.
Photos and histories along with gang maps, color, tattoos, hand signs and graffiti.
I have an old one around somewhere. Do the CCC still make them?

Exactly. Some of the buys occurred as far back as March and they're just now picking them up.
If they were not part of an long term investigation, these cases are all most like garbage.

Don't worry no one cares. You think it makes a difference whether you work it or not? You think we care you are donating your money? You are soft. Do what you want.
