- A Chicago activist arrested last month during downtown protests of fatal shootings by police has been indicted on charges that he physically assaulted officers.
Ja'Mal Green, 20, was surrounded by 11 supporters at the Branch 42 courthouse at Belmont and Western avenues Wednesday as Judge Marvin Luckman told Green he had been indicted on seven counts.
Court records of those charges were not immediately available.
Pfleger was there spouting his usual crap. His lawyer is the same asshole who was throwing around words like "execution" and "murder" the other day. Has the FOP looked into filing an ARDC complaint against a supposed officer-of-the-court who uses loaded (and very legally specific) terms like that in an effort to influence the process?

Although Sheriff David Clarke addresses these voilent protesters, I am disappointed that Clarke has been cajoled by Mike Shields. I thought the Sheriff was a better judge of character. Not sure if i want to give him a second chance.

OTR but definitely piqued my interest. Was reading the Trib story about Van Dyke's defense being denied access to McDonald's juvenile records. A two thirds of the way is an innocuous statement about the Tribune reviewing the records for a puff piece on LaQuan. (My words not the Trinunes).
How in the world does the Tribune have a valid interest in supposedly sealed records when Van Dyke doesn't. If you want to create sympathy for parents (momma anyway, who knows about daddy) and make the City and the Criminal Justice System look you have cause bad if you are trying to defend your freedom your SOL.
Seems to me once you opened the proverbial door for one, it should be open for all.
At least 'Lettumgo Luckman' wasn't given the opportunity to toss it at the PC Hearing, a standard practice by this near senile, hearing impaired alleged judge.
We challenge the media to sit in his court for just a day or two and hear what goes on then make an honest evaluation and then write a front page article on the findings as stated above after a first hand witness of events.

I saw that Fox special. He sat right next to the imbecile who said to disarm and disband all the police in Chicago, she may have even been talking about the country as a whole. These are the people Oppenheimer associates with. He is a bottom feeder, an ambulance chaser who lies, cheats, and steals because he knows the city will dish out money left and right rather than fight a case. If you're unable to judge Sheriff Clarke's character by now, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way to... wherever. I don't think the rest of us care much if Shields introduced Clarke at a speaking engagement or not, but you're having some high-drama crisis of confidence over it?
I'd like to know 'the rest of the story'. Who had the common sense to take it out of Luckman's hands? How did they brilliantly sidestep him? What was Luckman's demeanor when he announced this in court? (Oh, and bravo to the team that accomplished this! If it was left to Luckman to decide, even though the incident is on video, Jamal would have walked.)
