What A Monday

So ten dead and forty-two wounded over the weekend.

Monday, Chicago racked up nine dead in a single 24-hour period:
  • A 10-year-old boy was critically hurt after being shot and at least 16 others were wounded, seven of them fatally, in shootings since late Monday morning across the city.

The boy was standing on the sidewalk in front of a home in the 3900 block of West Polk Street in the Lawndale neighborhood when he heard gunshots and realized he was struck at 10:18 p.m., according to police.
The Tribune article says "since late Monday morning," conveniently skipping the early morning hours that HeyJackass.com usually titles "weekend overtime." That accounted for two dead and two other wounded, making the 24-hour total in the neighborhood of 9 dead, 18 wounded in a single day. Again, demonstrating why HeyJackass is the only reliable source of numbers.

Im not a dinosaur yet and any body camera footage is no friend of the police, especially when it is immediately released to a mob public who has no idea how to interperate the video with regards to the law and usually be against the police.....i.e.

Jason van dyke shot an assailiant weilding a deadly weapon that had used it and refused to drop it. How did the video help him sir?

In late July I was wondering if the honor students, expiring rappers, and future neurosurgeons would up the ante to "2-a-day's" (homicides, that is). They exceeded my expectations.

August is looking like it will be another banner month and I am wondering . . . if they will raise the ante even further to "3-a-day's" ???

Place your bets.

Look at Compstat for Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Murders 2016 YTD. It's mind blowing how NYC has 3x more residents, but half the murders. Same for LA. A million more, nearly half the killings. Wake up Chicago leaders. Your shit hole hamlet is doomed.

Then we have the mayor calling gang threat to shoot police "unacceptable" is that like when eddie says things make him "uncomfortable?"

http://www.fox32chicago.com/news/local/187461050-story

Maybe rahm you need to stand up like a man the leader of Chicago and say "we will not tolerate this behavior and will enforce all laws with full support of my office" you are extremely weak it shows while your protection is 24/7 along with your entire family compliments of Chicago taxpayers you have cheated many and your jeopardizing hard working CPD officers by letting manpower dwindled so low. Everything we see and read you have billions for special projects but none to hire police or fully fund the pension that would help boost morale and shows you don't just pay lip service and constantly lie and bullshit!

While out of town recently (Montana, Wyoming & Colorado) these were the responses when people heard we were from Chicago:

"Wow, I can't believe you live there, I heard it's really dangerous". (Husband & Wife from South Carolina)
"Aren't you afraid to live there? Can you go out at night?" (Desk clerk Montana)
"There's one place we won't be visiting, it sounds so dangerous." (Family from London, England)

As much as Rahm tries to keep a lid on it, Chicago violence is global news which directly effects Rahm's tourism pocket book. The trickle-down effect means the law abiding citizens of Chicago will ultimately make up the difference.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-chicago-violence-shootings-20160809-story.html

Think of a company any company and the boss the CEO like rahm the CEO of Chicago no company would tolerate such a lack of any leadership, but the taxpayers and the innocent tolerate this everyday! Chicago featured daily on world news all the blood, all the mayhem, the low police manpower but what changes? Your absolutely correct thinking "nothing" it is getting much worse! Eddie your a good man but not tainted by the corruption (The lietenants cheating scandal rule 14 violation correct?)Eddie you came in with ideas but yet no demotions of the exempt kids, no closing down and demoting the bloated "I gots this gold badge" structure of failed leadership. Eddie what man assumes the helm of the ship heading into an iceberg and lets the people at the top steer it directly into this peril? Eddie they are laughing at you, you sir need to completely revamp top down, and most importantly man up and show ultimate respect for the men and women of the CPD! Respect is earned not granted Eddie but you should know that!

Patrol division and district watches have been cut down to the bone. The guys pushing beat cars have to work harder so police officers, who supposedly signed up for the same job we do, can work inside straight days weekends off for their WHOLE CAREERS. Then you have the other "special" officers who have to be on some kind of district or area team, or work in some unit, who will do ANYTHING to not have to work patrol and be tied to the radio.

So the question is, at what point do the guys in patrol say enough is enough and demand reinforcements? At what point do they realize they have been working harder and less safely so others on this job continue to have their sweet gig?

9 dead and almost 20 shot and the press gives Rahm a pass. Before anyone accuses me of drinking the cool aid let me explain. How many murders this year? How many people have been shot? The Chicago Press should be hounding him like the national press is hounding Trump. What is the clear up rate? Something around 20%. That is almost criminal in itself. It is soooo obvious that we are underman. It is also soo obvious that there is a lack of training in the department. The latest shooting is a prime example. From what I read in SSC, it appears that many districts are running with very few cars on midnights and the afternoons. I saw Angelo on the Gretta VanSutson show last night and he appeared to be a deer caught in the middle of the road blinded by the car's headlights. At first I did not think all the posts on this site about Dean has no clue on what is going on. I believe it now. He should be meeting with the various aldermen and alderwoman and jointly having press conferences pointing out the fact of the manpower currently in the districts. This is the ideal time with the citizens of Chicago getting hit with sky high taxes. The various unions can ask these 2 simple questions; Are you better off today than you were when Rahm first got elected? What exactly are you, the citizens of Chicago, getting for the taxes you pay? If the FOP won't do it then the Sergeants, Lieutenants, and the Captains Associations should. I also believe that the union should be shouting from the top of Sears Tower(or whatever we call it now) over training. If the FOP won't then again the supervisor's unions should. The men and woman of the department is TOTALLY LACKIN IN LEADERSHIP. This lack of leadership comes not only from the various unions but also from the command staff of the Department. I hate to say it but it is apparent that the Superintendent is over his head. I know people who know him and they all say what a nice guy he is. He might be a nice guy but is he competent to handle the job. It is apparent he is not. How much interference is he getting from Rahm? It is sad.

I think it's time to start counting all the unarmed blacks killed, as opposed to those who were armed. The media loves to use that word, happily not caring if it is misleading or false - aiming a car at the police and even hitting them, or in the case Ferguson, he was actively trying to arm himself with the copper's gun (presumably to unload it and throw it off to the side so as to engage in gentlemanly bare knuckle boxing?) my point being that more often than not, if someone dies by the hands of the police, they were actively engaged in some sort of struggle. Whereas, the vast majority of this city's shootings usually involve the catcher-of-lead not knowing it was coming at all - standing on a corner, at a party, in the park, etc. Gee, I would almost dare to say it is not he police who leave their homes with the intention of shooting unarmed black men, but it is the average gangbanging coward piece of shit that leaves his house with the intention of shooting an unarmed black man.

Not for 10 bodies into the morgue.

But since none of them were killed by the police, BLM and no body else cares or is raising a fuss.
