Ambushes Up
- The ambush-style killings of two police officers in the Des Moines area add to a deadly increase in a disturbing trend for law enforcement nationwide: the number of police officers gunned down has increased 167% this year, according to a law enforcement group.
It ties for the deadliest year for such attacks, matching 2014’s 16 ambush-style killings.
In all, there have now been 40 officers shot and killed in ambushes since 2014, said Steve Groeninger, spokesperson for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, which tracks police fatalities.
Urbandale Police Officer Justin Martin and Des Moines police Sgt. Anthony “Tony” Beminio were the latest fatalities. Both were gunned down separately in their patrol cars while responding to reports of gunfire early Wednesday.
The point of an ambush is, of course, to inflict maximum damage with the least amount of damage in return. There is usually no defense. Be wary and aware. You may only get one chance to defeat such an attack.

Stop standing around with your hands in your vest while you shoot the shit with fellow officers. Pay attention to your surroundings and look up every now and then.
We're all in this together white, black, brown, yellow etc... fucked up times but the blue must stay strong and vibrant as we are all we got.
Wait until her thighness becomes president, the attacks will at LEAST continue unabated or worse, show an increase. Don't worry though, our new states attorney will have our back.
This is very grim news. It is all part of a plan.
Ambushes are for cowards...And there are plenty of cowards out there.
The police may have become the enemies of the State.

Thumbs hooked into the armholes of the vest.

smh
The Des Moines Register had some nice tributes to the officers and more information about the shootings collected here http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/2016/11/02/full-coverage-two-metro-officers-killed-ambush-attacks/93161666/
Watch your back - The overt ambush of Special Back-Stab Ed is searching for answers:
(In case you haven't read the SumTimes)
- Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson on Monday watched cellphone video...but he didn’t see clear violations of department policy.
“CPD did review pieces of video today, looking for training and tactics,” police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. “What was reviewed today was INCONCLUSIVE to determine whether there were any TRAINING VIOLATIONS, and we are looking forward to [the Independent Police Review Authority’s] review.” (yes, looking forward - can you bet big on that)
— SO, they haven't seen ANY CLEAR VIOLATIONS. Maybe it will satisfy the Community to find some obscure violations.
Maybe Special Ed can solicit the IPRA to better find minuscule infractions and deviations first, so he can concur. But that.depends on the protesters demands too.

Should have left people alone with their historical allegiance. Now that all the flags are ordered by BLM to come down, as well as the demolition of beautiful historic monuments, removal of battle paintings from museums, renaming of buildings, smashing of "incorrect" stained glass windows, bothering people at NASCAR events, fussing about how to do in veterans' graveyards, messing with Stone Mountain, etc., they were just asking for trouble. We were co-existing pretty good with that side 'til now.

Agreed watching coppers doing the "bird wings" pose is pathetic, and makes you look weak! Head on swivel, driving in vehicles windows cracked car radio off, listen carefully, at stop lights see many younger coppers staring down and texting on cell phones, as thug pulls up along side pay attention the life you save may be your own or your partners! If Trump wins "law and order" will be slowly returned if the criminal witch clinton wins we are done RIP policing in formerly great America!
"There is usually no defense."
Your only defense is to go on the attack.
Be wary indeed. These are dangerous times.
