I live nearby and have observed gang funeral "processions" heading to Mt. Hope or Restvale. Honking, swerving all over the place, people hanging out of car windows and yelling at pedestrians or other drivers for perceived "disrespect" of the procession. A couple of years ago my husband's tact team had to monitor one of these processions - pulled over a car whose passenger was waving a gun out the window, then the driver stepped on the gas and tried to hit one of the guys on the team. Sincerely hoping that the gang bangers, the mommas, the grandmommas and everyone associated will consider the north side for funeral services.

I was eastbound on 111thst after dropping clothes off at cleaners.Observed these black women in middle of street beeped my horn than just to my left a white guy west bound in his car was jawing with a large black female,all of a sudden black females were streaming out of their now parked cars on 111thst screaming and trying to open the doors of the white guy,I started yelling and beeping my horn,saw one black male dressed in fatigues come toward me pulled up near Josephs ,made the call and split.At 66 without my pistol would have gotten in trouble.Glad ourside came out on top this time.Retired City Worker

Yes, you are correct, but I am for concealed carry in every state and to be honored by every state. But, that does not mean you can pull your gun out and wave it around or refuse to drop it when the police show up. Drawing your weapon, for a civilian, is the last resort.

A friend sent me a text about the incident and before he sent all the details, I knew that if blm went to Mt. Greenwood the noble residents would respond appropriately. No parking in the area thanks to a permanent homeless camp under lake shore drive. But hey a soccer dad and his son deserve a 75 ticket right? Jerk. Stick the damn ticket under the wiper and Not on the side door window. For 1: heavy rain is going to soak the thing off the adhesive and it drops to the street where it might blow away. Point 2: The other people that write tickets are not all riding a bike down the street and are not necessarily going to step off into the street to see what you wrote it for. You got a huge squad wrapped around your body while you handwrite a ticket. We don't.
Heads up: To 41st Ward and all others:
Management is complaining that ticket issuance is down significantly since last year. Improper Display of City Sticker, Parkway tickets and Wring Direction/12" from Curb tickets are getting dusted off.
