Day Off

We're taking the night off. It's been a long week for everyone and, quite frankly, we're as tired as anyone.

And it isn't over seeing as Rahm Mayor Ricketts decided to move the parade up three days.

Open post. If you don't hear from us by Sunday, call out the search parties.

An Open Post Topic...

There was a flyer on my door today,
"VOTE YES for ALL Retention Judges"

Below that was the grinning mug of Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans.

Well FUCK HIM. He screwed up a lot of things like our Sergeants promotion back in 1988. There was a list on the flyer of all the Judges names and their numbers. It has been said that all cops should vote NO on the retention of Judges. But if we do that then there is no incentive for any of them to do anything for us.

There has to be a short list of Judges that have even if they did not go out of their way for us were known to be fair and honest.

Could we have that short list, please.

Nope, Friday it is. Let's see if the msm AND tiny dancer acknowledges what happened last weekend...

I wonder how much 9 1/2 paid for the tickets to game 7, for his family? How much did we pay for all of that? Let's go alder creatures, the ethics people told you to buy your tickets like a citizen, unless you are "speaking".

Tiny dancer wasn't invited to the field. He stood on his tippy toe's, and proclaimed, "I am the Mayor of Chicago", "call Theo"...

If that rain didn't come thru, his "crew", would have the whole family out the backdoor.

Keep pandering 9 1/2.

Since it's an open post, here's a little factoid for you to mull...depending on the source, Homicide #600 was on/about Monday, 17Oct2016. According to HeyJackass.com, as of approx 2:05am on 4Nov16, we are sitting at 663. 63 homicides in 18 days (3.5/day). Earlier this year, SCC predicted 666. A couple of weeks ago, I threw out 685 in a thread. We're almost there already. With about 57 days left in the year, at the about 2/day average, you could be looking at another 114 killings. While we know weather does have an effect on things (yes Garry, it does), and yes, we know it will be getting colder (plus a couple of holidays in there too, not that that'I'll stop them) , it's supposed to be in the low to mid 60's almost all of next week. You almost have to think that 800, while not likely, could be mentioned in the conversation. 800 homicides in a year. That's crazy.

First watch in 011 just found out, at roll call, that they're working 12hr shift after being told at check off night before that schedule is back to normal. No one was notified prior to today's roll call. Brilliant Sgt P. informed P/O's that order came out this afternoon and that P/O's need to check their work email at home on regular basis. (Your family is not important I guess ) Lots of officers had to make emergency arrengments to take their kids to school.

Hard to really gauge how bad it got out there when the Cubs won. The local media is obviously trying to cover up all the major incidents that happened throughout the night (no surprise). Why didn't we hear about the 10-1 at Ashland & Addison on the Citywide? The 12th District was tame especially if you count all the sports bars from Division to Madison. The 14th District went wild but only for an hour or so and no IOD's as far as I can tell. Please provide some feedback or World Series stories from your district of assignment that night.

They just sent a ton of teams back to the districts because they weren't supposed to be sent down to work at 4am. Lots of pissed off people who were told to be here at 4am, they get down to roll call at 18th and lake shore drive at 530 and they tell them all it was a mistake and they aren't supposed to even be here so just go back and sit at the districts. Nobody has a clue what's going on right now. This is what happens when you organize an event in 12 hours that will see 5-8 million people throughout the city. Morons.

The pattern of democrat obfuscation and obstruction. The EPA used private emails, the atf used private emails, and the state department...and executive branch itself used private emails.
Why? What do they all have in common? The ability to plan/coordinate/converse and not have anything be on record, public record...of public servants on public time doing public work.

Crowds are flooding the streets for the parade and no police in site for traffic and crowd control until you get to the parade route. Public and some catholic school kids are off. Our brain trust of merit flunky supervisors have not shown any ability to control anything. 4000 shot 600 murdered in the bloodiest year since the 90's and the year is not over. More murders then LA and NY combined! Parents stay close to your kids at the parade. Hope and pray nothing major happens as CPD is poorly deployed and sadly led by incompetents.

Question for you SCC

I am not an LEO. I respect what you guys do, though I won't claim to always understand it.

What I want to know is what keeps you going? Your mayor is an idiot, your bosses are dumb as a box of hair, and you are working in a combustible environment; I worried about your city over the last week and I am glad everyone mostly behaved.

It can't be the pay or retirement--money can only compensate for so much. So what drives you?

LEO's please be careful over the next week. I am a progressive and I am utterly horrified by the things I'm seeing on both sides. The only reason this country works is we have all agreed to shake hands the day after the election and be Americans first. I don't see that coming together this year. Watch yourselves around the nuts of all flavors. They'll be out in force.

What keeps me going lately is the hope that a man named Donald Trump becomes president and kicks the criminals in Washington DC right where it hurts. I hope the American people will finally stand up and say no more to high taxes, illegals, refugees, safe spaces, the war against the first and second amendments, corruption, multiculturalism, BLM, Obamacare, biased media, crooked politicians, jobs being sent out of this country, the anti police movement and free handouts for everything under the sun to people who don't work and don't want to work.

As far as after the election, no, I don't want to shake your hand and I haven't agreed to shake your hand. You liberals/progressives have ruined and continue to ruin this country and I take it personal. I want nothing to do with you clueless, ignorant idiots. I want you weaklings to just go away.

Idiot. Prior to March of 1986, no police paid into Medicare because they were promised healthcare for life. That promise was broken. Add Rostenkowski and his Windfall Act, and most social security benefits were stripped as well, even if you had your quarters. Why do you think what is happening now is so disastrous to elderly retirees? The city is impoverishing those that gave their life to service.

They used to say, "Better to be judged by twelve than carried by six."

But recent history has shown that if it is a P.O. on trial for a split second life and death decision he or she made it is better to be made by a fair and competent professional jurist.

We need to cull out the corrupt, the anti-cop, the racists and the politically connected. We need to vote intelligently and find and support those few. So who's the dummy.
