Every year I take the family the PARADA DEL SOL (Parade of the Sun) in Scottsdale Arizona. It is the world largest horse parade. Magnificent equestrian specimens and many of them are from local riding clubs and schools as well as law enforcement agencies like the Joe Arpia's Maricopa County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Border Patrol.
But what always gets applause, the high school kids with the brooms, shovels and wheeled trash cans. Thanks goodness there are still kids out there who still know the value of work. Any of those around here?

as a recruit on probation, could you refuse? I doubt it it would be insubordination. Yes, a lousy order to say the least. But, I recall the city having recruits shovel the snow from the CTA tracks at 95th Street in heavy snow storms.
