Nice Gig

Evidently, "ethics" is just a word in the dictionary:
  • Some of us are trying to figure out why our department ethics doesnt apply to the Superintendent? Cub's owners had their "people" give him 2 tickets for Friday nights Chicago game! He proceeded to give them to 2 P.O.s that were supposed to be working the detail! The officers accepted the tickets and watched the game! Last time city employees were given the ethics exam we were told "no gift over $50 value." So why? Oh why? Are they exempt? (Not by rank) but exempt from accepting gifts we all know were at least 10 times over the amount we are allowed to accept?

Correction the Supt. entire staff and a few select HEROS reported in dress uniform ( with their purses and backpacks) after they presented the flag on the field the Supt, staff changed into plain clothes and attended the game with the tickets the cubs gave him. (twenty maybe?) he had two extra so he handed them off to two random cops from 022. So while you all stood around for 12 plus hours, the supt staff was enjoying the game on the cubs. Nice right?
Anyone want to confirm?

Hey SCC, how about a shoutout to the P.O.named in the lawsuit that the City and our Union tried to bury. You know, the one where they screwed us out of almost One Million Dollars! Today I received a letter in the mail saying exactly how much I am getting. A couple guys I work with said it was posted on the intranet too. Thank you P.O. R.B. For looking out for us when the union didnt.

Myself, including a tone of us were standing for 16 fucking hours in the rain that day (GAME 7) and I'm not complaining about the money but the fact that this shit has to end. These fucking FEDS, what the fuck are they investigating us blue shirts for when they can clearly see the shit that's going on with the brass and the fucking politicians in this city. I would go public in a heart beat, but we all know how that ends. I don't even know who to vote for at all anymore, this entire nation is fucked regardless of who wins the elections. They're all fucking liars at the end. Peace brothers and sisters in blue, God Bless......

I did it because I was force to stupid Ed so now you can pay me. I hate this job more each day with this evil mayor and this embarrassing superintendent.

The two officers from 022 also filed a grievance because they want to be paid for the 12 hours that they were at the game. The Commander of 022 gave them overtime up to the start of the game but they want to be paid for the entire game even though they were sending out photos of themselves drinking at the game. I also believe they are noble members so they will get the pay.

This is one time I have to stand up and say something. If you actually watched it, they went on the field, were honored by the team for police and fire appreciation (CFD as well), and held a huge American flag. This is kind of petty.

You see the Ricketts made a deal for certain white shirts not to have there days off canceled.

The reason being the white shirts run security at Wrigley Field!
The cubs Quickly ponied up multiple favors

1. Rahm gets to be on field after win in cleveland.
2. Parade was on Friday NOT to interfere with owner meeting on Monday.
3. Chicago Police officers would work side GIG(inside Wrigley Field) and not have to work mandatory 12 hour days.

Now you media types would have to FOIA who was not called back on their RDO's. I believe most of the security center around area north and a few north side districts.

My question is how much cash does the Ricketts pay officers to waive time and a half at their real jobs? (FREE TICKETS!!! ETHICS problem).
Secondly do these clouted have paper at HQ stating they are working a contracted gig that serve liqour?

Wrong. The Cubs wanted to honor CPD and CFD heroes (note no quotation marks, idiot) and several lifesaving POs and firemen who were recent award winners were picked to be recognized. The Supt and Fire Comr attended, obviously. There was no "entire staff" BS. The attendees were invited to stay for the game, but were told if they did they'd have to change into CD because it would look bad if they were drinking beer. Duh on that one.

Want something nobody else has? Do something worth getting recognized.

Did you really expect there wouldn't be any "command staff" there for the game? Most probably weren't even Cubs fans, they just wanted to be there so they can say they were there for that win. (Of course, they won't be talking about it around any of the forbidden.) Do as I say, not as I do!
Stay safe.

After the crowds were cleared out after the clinching game, coppers were in Sports World at the corner of Clark/Addison buying t-shirts and hats. No civilians around and peace was restored. A m/1 boss with stars came in to the store and kicked out the coppers, told the staff not to sell anything to coppers. What a jerk. Probably enjoyed his free tickets when the Cubs were in town.

Rahm have you assigned CPD coppers to do the same? Leo state police doing this checking also? Crickets its Chicago where that type of behavior as long as it is for hillary the criminal it is accepted!

What they should of did is not accepted them or given the tickets to a deserving fan outside the park. Like a parent with a small child that couldn't get tickets. These two officers are arrogant asses always getting taken care of never working a full tour. The bosses disregard all their antics. Sooner or later it will bite them in the ass and the bosses.

Time for a diversion.

I once had a piss bum thump the side of a car and want to report the accident for an insurance settlement. I told the driver that there was no way in hell that this incident would bite him in the ass after I got done writing my report.

When I called him over to give him his copy of the report, he tried to give me five bucks. I told him no, but thanks for the offer. As he left, he crumpled it up and threw it through my open window and ran away. Hilarious! I later gave it to one of the regular street people who I knew actually could use it.

Get it right before you post false stuff. So here are the facts---The 2 officers from 22 sat in the seats from the 2nd inning until the 7th inning. No, they were not drinking and they went right back to work and worked until 2am like everyone else. No, they don't know the Sup. No, there was not a grievance filed. Yes, they fought to get paid because the commander didn't know the full story. AND YES THEY ARE SOX FANS- the only post that was accurate. To the other posts, as TRUMP would say, "WRONG!!!!!!"

I heard Eddie Johnson is quite vocal in saying he will never appoint a white man to exempt rank so long as he is superintendant. If true, I can't believe I thought this POS was a good guy at one point. It was always obvious he took care of his own, which was sad but I justified it by thinking he would probably have other friends that he would likely help as well, regardless of skin color. I think everyone should be promoted based on their own merit but this is CPD. What a disgusting machine to work for.

You know what is funny to me? So a new general order was written because the DOJ decided that police officers should not recieve a free or discounted meal from an appreciative food establishment, but since there is not a general order specifically written pertaining to free world series tickets, i guess our fearless leader interprets that as being ok. Oh wait, he decided nope dont want them tickets, it violates the ethics codes set forth by the city...so he hands them off to 2 dumbass po's who of course brag to everyone they could that yea we watched the world series. Well being that Special Ed isnt the sharpest tool in the shed, somebody with a bit of smarts (probably his driver) informs him that hey eddie, i think you violated the citys' ethics act to which eddie says oh shit then decides on sunday (2 days later) that oh btw dumbass po's that watched the world series opening game, you were off the clock to which dumbass po's respond that isnt fair so lets attempt to get a grievance so we can get paid. Maybe to be "fair" every po that did the detail that night and stood on thier feet for many hours should file a class action grievence to be paid the value of the tickets recieved by the dumbass po's just because fair is fair. Bet the city would frown on that idea. Bet IAD would then gain interest in the violation of ethics or the IG, or DOJ. Bet the media would have alot of questions for eddie and the 2 dumbass po's. Bet if any po's took those tickets directly, without the middle man (eddie) they would already be answering phones at callback, fighting for thier jobs! So now we all have learned boys and girls that "exempt" rank has a much deeper meaning than what we had originally thought.
