The fear of having the Cubs Parade on Monday would have put Cub fans in the partying mood that they would forget to GO VOTE the next day, which is Tuesday. So, have the parade on Friday (yesterday) and the fans would sober up over the weekend, and start fresh ready for Tuesday's election.

Did you try going on the Board of election web site and even try to apply before coming on here and making everything a conspiracy?
Watching channel 9 this a. m. They were out filming in front of the firehouse across from Wrigley in anticipation of the rally. Just a couple observations on uniforms. Keeping in mind that it is 49 degrees out, this is what I saw:
A white shirt wearing a short sleeve shirt as an outer garment
Numerous officers wearing long sleeve shirts as outer garments
One guy with his shirt sleeves rolled up to his biceps
Princess standing with both hands in her pockets and her pretty pony tail hanging down past the middle of her back.
Surely there was a uniform order for this detail.
Cmon people lets at least look like we're on the same team--you are embarrassing us!

Just sign up at the board of elections that how. Sign up, answer a few questions, attend a training at the board of election. You don't have to be a boss. I'm a p.o I do it. Long night use your own car and can be sent anywhere. Made six bills last time because sometimes you have to bring the voting boxes back. Like I said it's long but not bad.
11/5 @ 0830hrs - Don't even bother with the Field Investigator job. The main criteria is merely clout. The current Board employees in charge of the field investigators are hacks who haven't properly trained the judges with the new computerized voting books and the new law regarding on site voter registration is messed up thanks to the contrary court rulings. This election will have many voters showing up with incompetent and elderly judges unable to properly handle the situation so they'll call you to bail them out. Not worth the aggravation.

Regardless of your hours make sure you and others know this:
Employees who begin their work day less than 3 hours after polls open and finish less than 3 hours before polls close are entitled to 2 hours leave to vote (or more if distance requires). The employee must give notice the day before Election Day and cannot have pay reduced if proof of voting is provided.

The application was posted in the Daily Bulletin and C/O books about 6 weeks prior. Try checking them every now and then. Any LE could apply.
