Jail Justice
- The 19-year-old man charged with firing the stray bullet that struck and killed 11-year-old Takiya Holmes was beaten by a Cook County Jail inmate while awaiting his bond hearing at a county courthouse.
The beating was captured on video and released Thursday by the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
The surveillance video captured an inmate approaching a dozing Antwan Jones while he was handcuffed to a chair in street clothes before his bond hearing Wednesday at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on murder charges in Holmes' shooting death.
The guy doing the punching is himself, inside for murder, so he's got nothing to lose and all sorts of reputation to gain. Amusing to say the least.

Off topic but serious question. Why is the bond for the Amtrak officer charged with murder 250k, and why was van dyke 1.5k?
So Antwan Jones sues the County and the Sheriffs for 6 figure payout for failing to protect him while in their custody, but the guy doing the beating no; since he has no money.
Wasn't it great how the guy with the shackles in his hand, clearly an employee of some correctional institution, sees the attack against an inmate and his first reaction is to back up, and to keep backing up even after the (white, dare we say it) corrections officer bear-hugs the aggressor to protect the child-murderer?
Will that guy get written up for failure to perform his duty or for cowardice or something?
He will be someone's bitch, he will need the protection , ironic cause no protection will be used on him💩
If dis ain't funnin I don't no what funnin is.... I myself would had let it go on for it a bit longer.
You can't make this shit up.
At least he suffered though less than his victim. Now we get to pay for him for 20 or so years but we were already. What a F'ed up world we live in.
Dey jus funnin

Do you mean 250K versus 1.5M?
And, answer: which one of these 4 people don't look like the others?
The twerp, dart and perriwinkle don't care it's going to be taxpayer's money that foot the bill when the lawsuits come out...
I am going to put money in the attacker's commissary account.
1's will continuously hesitate to enforce corrective / hand's on action's of their fellow cousin's n' shiet....ackem..I mean other 1's for anything at all. anything at fucking all.
Where's the video? For entertainment purposes only. (Extra butter on the popcorn?)
He's a "19 year old man" in this report.
If shot by a cop defending himself, all we would hear is "teen shot by cop".

I think van dyke was more than 1.5 k. Also why did the off duty guy who killed the guy in 025 get an I bond. Who the fuck knows is the answer it's cook county. Try and keep up
Notice that in the video, his jailer does the manly thing and runs away.
Thunder dome..........2 men enter.....1 man leaves
They would NEVER let a murder suspect roam the halls without cuffs. Dart will suspend those officers.
1:15am, the corrections officer who backed up was IDOC. He was there for a transfer. Matter of fact, I think he was there to pick up the guy who carried out the punishment, errrrr I mean battery. The guy who beat the crap out of Antwan Jones is on trial for murder, he has absolutely nothing to lose. To be honest, I'm glad that gutless motherfucker got his ass kicked, these fucking violent parasites commit murder without fear of retribution. Hopefully it's the first of many beatings he takes behind bars in the next 50 or so years.
The batterer should get an award.
Tribal justice is swift and sure.
0115am you think his agency is going to discipline for not breaking up a fight at another agency NOT involving his prisoners? So you wouldn't grieve that one huh? The way it is these days I call it smart unless the guy is attacoing staff. If he got hurt, you are sure his agency wouldn't give him any problems..?
Fat Ed stripped the inmate for his own protection.
Years back there was a heatercase with a very young black child lured into a building with snack food, where he was anally raped and brutally tortured and killed. Area dics worked the case hard and found the offender. I was in Branch 42 on a different case when the prelim came up. The offender came in brutally beaten to a bloody mess. The Judge asked: "Who did that to you? The police? the sheriff"? Shithead said : "Those MFers in the big cell here". Judge ordered medical transport, postponed the hearing and ordered him held in protective custody". After he left, he said: "We called that Dungaree Justice in the Navy, he's looking at some very hard and painful time".
I doubt that remark made it onto the Stenograph
Lol, that guy backing up and retreating is an officer at the Jesse brown Veterans affairs police.... I don't blame him, why should anyone?
He ain't pressing no charges.
But Loevy or KimWrinkles part time law firm has a legal angle to collect from the County for negligence.
To the pussy holding the shackles:
That guy in the tan DOC outfit is a bad guy. You're supposed to stop him from doing illegal things that he wants to do. Backing away while looking totally confused doesn't help anyone. Good thing there were people there who actually knew how to do their jobs so this murderer couldn't continue doing whatever he wants while you stood around doing nothing. For those who like to make comments about females not being cut out for police/jail jobs, pay attention to the female who moves in to help, right past the big bad man who backed away like a little bitch.

No, that would be the county's job.

You mean the one who works there and has a county patch on?

I'll never forget that murder. I was a kid when it happened. A lady we knew from church was friends with the family. That was one that still makes me shake my head some.

Don't think they were there to pick him i.e. his county outfit.

That's not his jailer. The jailer grabbed him around the waist.

The one whose case was not charged immediately and was used to shape major elections.
Good for him and that is probably why he is in for murder. When the cops do nothing and you have nothing, murder is a last resort. Not for me but for some and his case needs to be reviewed is it possible it was self defense?

Was he a pussy or was he just letting some street justice occur?

If you have to ask, you're stupid and don't deserve to know.

Do you think the guy with the shackles is a shackles salesman or something? Is he the janitor just making sure the shackles are shiny? Is he holding them because he just likes the feel of metal in his hands? The female works there, that's correct. They all fucking work there. That's why they're in that little room with people in custody for murder. My point, which you missed, because you're not very bright, is that the guy with the shackles did nothing but back away with a confused look on his face, while the others jumped right into action, including the female who had to maneuver past the coward to try to help. What exactly do you think the coward's job is? Why do you think he's back there with everyone else? Why is he holding shackles? Are you really this stupid?

Actually while I am not this stupid you make it hard to believe that you aren't.
"They all f**** work there."
Wrong. Somebody else already pointed out the guy was IDOC. Usually the people I see coming out of lock up with shackles (the ones you kept going on about) that aren't wearing county uniforms are...wait for it...IDOC. No they don't won't work there. Guess what genius? Cops, witnesses, defendants, plaintiffs, jurors and reporters are just some of the people at county everyday. None of them are classified as people who "work there."
"My point, which you missed, because you're not very bright, is that the guy with the shackles did nothing but back away with a confused look on his face, while the others jumped right into action, including the female who had to maneuver past the coward to try to help."
I didn't miss your point. I thought you were off. I've seen enough guys get suspended and fired for ASSISTING other agencies, without using force, that were in the lines of normal police duties. If he stood there while a staff member was getting lumped, I have a huge problem. He didn't. He backed up while a prisoner that wasn't his attacked another prisoner that wasn't his. Let's just say Mr. Murderer did want to sue and say he wasn't protected...he would have to sue the county because he was in their custody.
This aint 1975 and maybe you're too slow to know the era you're in. His fault was that his officer safety was off and his back was to prisoners, assuming the deputies had everything under wraps. It was already posted that a murder defendant is walking around, without deputy control, and uncuffed. That is all on county. You're big, bad, tough and smart. Let me know the next time you go in any other jurisdiction and put hands on people before the responsible officers. I'll still think you're stupid. If he grabbed that guy and put him on his face and caused any bruising, bleeding or lacerations IDOC would have had a lawsuit and had to explain why IDOC is using force in the county, on a county detainee and county isn't using force. You either didn't consider that or think it's worth it...which proves you're ill-suited to determine who is and who isn't stupid.
You have learned little from us being arm chair quarterbacked over video snippets. It's clear because of your arm chair quarter backing.
