What Was This?

Missed this one a couple of days ago. Coverage was scarce and we have a theory of why:
  • A man from the Northwest suburbs remains behind bars this morning, accused of having a pipe bomb inside a room he was renting on the city’s West Side.

A Cook County judge set bond at $250,000 for Michael Debrown, 25, of the 600 block of Autumn Drive in Roselle.
He’s charged with unlawful use of a weapon, which is a felony.

Debrown was renting a room at an AirBNB in the 3500 block of West Flournoy Street in the Homan Square neighborhood last week.

The home’s owner discovered a pipe bomb in Debrown’s room.

Police evacuated nearby buildings as a precaution before declaring the room safe. Prosecutors say tests on the device, which contained about 6.5 ounces of powder, came back positive as “flash powder or other pyrotechnic mixture”.
A white guy in the heart of 011 renting an AirBNB? Literally a block away from where the mentally challenged white kid was held against his will, scalped, forced to drink toilet water, made to sing the praises of his captors?

We're thinking a retaliatory attack maybe?

Story was easy to miss since the original reporting stated it was just a box of wires. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtains!

It's four blocks from the Homan Square facility.
Maybe that was the target.

a few questions about this. 1) what is a white guy doing renting a room in the heart of the crime ridden black west side? 2) what was the building owner doing searching the room?

Why would AirBNB even have a location in the ghetto? Can you imagine a foreign tourist making his way to the blue CTA line without being held up or hassled for spare change? Hopefully they'll take Uber if the driver will go there.

Well using the current philosophy of "Whites are always Wrong", it appears that this is another example of Whites moving into the "Hood", and bringing crime with them! Baby"G"

I've always thought St. Louis and Flournoy was the perfect location for an AirBNB. Maybe even a cozy little bed and breakfast. Nothing like the scenic sights, sounds and aromatic scents of the vibrant and colorful west side.

Anarchist would be best guess, insane maybe, retribution probable. Then we have this a 54 year old guy 10 at night riding Blue line, surely people around and 4 males (No race gee Amish again?) rob beat and stab him:

http://www.fox32chicago.com/news/crime/234483522-story

Wonder if the true crime statistics are presented to the taxpayers of this once great city?

Then this headline:
Sweet: Conway says Trump wants to talk to Rahm about crime help

http://chicago.suntimes.com/news/sweet-conway-says-trump-wants-to-talk-to-rahm-about-crime-help/

“All I can say is, he’s been in touch with Mayor Emanuel and that’s great. It’s nice bi-partisan action to try to solve what clearly, I think, anybody would admit is a vexing problem. So I’m sure they will have another private discussion before anything is formally revealed,” she said.

Conway did not say what might be revealed.

Trump has been fixated on crime in Chicago.

In his July 21, 2016 speech at the Republican National Convention, Trump talked about the shooting victims “in the President’s hometown of Chicago.”
While President-elect, in a Jan. 2 post on Twitter, Trump said Chicago should ask for “federal help,” even though Emanuel did in a meeting he had with Trump in New York on Dec. 7.
On Jan. 20, Inauguration Day, Trump’s WhiteHouse.gov web site mentioned Chicago shootings.
Trump issued his “send in the feds” challenge on Jan. 24.
On Jan. 25, in an ABC News interview, Trump said two people were shot and killed on Jan. 10, when now former President Barack Obama was in Chicago delivering his farewell speech at McCormick Place. There were no homicides in Chicago that day.
At a Republican retreat in Philadelphia on Jan. 26, Trump, talking about murders in cities said, “And then you look at Chicago, what’s going on in Chicago? I said the other day, ‘What the hell is going on?’”
On Feb. 1, during a meeting at the White House to mark Black History Month, Trump said if Chicago officials don’t take steps to stop violence, “we’re going to solve the problem for them,” and suggesting that direct intervention with street-gang leaders might be a good idea.
On Tuesday, Trump compared Chicago to violence in unnamed Middle East nations.

It’s been easy for Trump to throw punches at Chicago, even though other cities grapple with crime.

Trump said during the presidential campaign that he was told by a top police source it would only take a “week” to cut crime in Chicago if police were tougher. Police officials denied anyone told Trump that.

If it were only that easy.

Since Jan. 24, Emanuel, a former chief of staff to Obama, has talked with Trump chief of staff Reince Priebus. And I’m told that Emanuel tried to get in touch with Priebus again, last week, after Trump again brought up Chicago crime at the Black History Month event.

Indeed, Chicago’s City Hall is eager to get to work with the Trump White House.

“Instead of focusing so much energy on rhetoric about Chicago, the people of this city would be better off if the president would finally partner with us to improve public safety for Chicago,” Emanuel spokesman Matt McGrath told me.

Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said in a statement, “Our men and women are working hard to improve public safety, and we stand ready for an increased federal partnership to build upon our work. As I’ve said before, we are asking for more federal agents and resources. We are asking for a higher rate of federal gun prosecution. We are asking for more funding for after-school and summer jobs programs that are proven to keep kids out of trouble.”

Tuesday marked two months since Emanuel met with Trump at Trump Tower to make his ask.

Trump has proposed nothing.

No one is in disagreement here. Trump wants to help, and Emanuel wants to work with the president on reducing crime in Chicago. It’s a very rare convergence in these divisive times.

He would have been a lot more efficient by running thru the building at 0300hrs. with an assault weapon with plenty of ammo. One pipe bomb holding six M-Series worth of powder will kill a few in a small room, but that's about all you're going to get. A corner with a bunch of dealers and bangers is another option he should of thought about, with the pipe bomb or assault weapon assuming he was really there to retaliated.

Leftist.

From the Trib

After entering the room with his things, Debrown asked someone in the home about purchasing drugs and left the home, prosecutors said.

At about midnight, when the Airbnb host returned to the home, he noticed that his Adderall was missing and, after learning of Debrown's questions about drugs, knocked on the door to his room, but received no answer, Brevard said.

The host opened the door to find a 10-inch long pipe bomb with a fuse sticking out of it, copper wire, tools, heat gun, dremel tool and other items, Brevard said.

After your lengthy bunch of bullshit, I have discovered you are the dumbest sob going.

Obama had 8 years to help Chicago. Did he? Not one bit. President Trump has been in office for 19 days. At least he keeps the Chicago violence conversation going on a national level and he is keeping TD 9.5 and Special Ed on the hot seat, which is way more than Obama ever did.

And, if you think TD 9.5 wants to work with President Trump and have a Republican administration solve our violence problem or be part of a solution, you are even dumber than my first assessment of your intelligence.

I heard the owner of this B &B, a rather soft spoken chappie and visioned a posh, quaint, tranquil Jo Davies County bed and breakfast...(stop chirping birds and chamber music - insert screeching tires stop effect here) in Fillmore. I haven't been thru Fill'mo in some time and suppose there's been some gentrification. Good to hear some urban pioneer is avoiding the Sect. 8 route I guess. Anyone remember the old Hotel Zanzibar?

Retaliatory payback for the kidnap? If he wasn't, he could have been just one of Rahm's Peaceful anarchist protesters on a trial run.

Long ago there was a guy who would do his block party annual fireworks show and buy five gallon pails of some type magnesium powder and make these gigantic sparkler type effects. Stuff burned white hot and long lasting and was legal to buy in bulk at that time.

Surely the Area is aware of what the stuff is and where it can be obtained, dudes associates, travels and history.
In the grand plan of biased CCSA KimmWrinkle, the violent pack of racist kidnappers will be less accountable than this so-far inerrant traveling pyrotechnist, and I believe he was charged with a misdemeanor.

Add me to the list of people thinking Homan squares is a much more likely target. Quite the leap to assume this guy was planning a retaliatory attack on 4 people who he'd be unlikely to find, using one pipe bomb. Anarchists and other "protesters" who have been here since the whole "occupy Chicago" nonsense started, and new ones coming for whatever reason, would be much more likely to target the police, especially the infamous "black site," than a group of blacks who tortured someone. Police and political figures who hold different beliefs than these morons are the most likely targets. I'd bet the number of pipe bomb attacks on black people in the ghetto by white guys is pretty small.

I don't know why he would say it if it wasn't true. I also don't know why information like this wouldn't be posted for all department members to see. It's an officer and public safety issue that should be addressed at all roll calls, not just one. Well, I actually do know why it wasn't shared. We have the most incompetent and useless people running this department, who have absolutely no clue how information like this should be treated. Perhaps they could use that fancy new system called "the Wire" to disseminate important information to everyone. Perhaps they could use department email. Perhaps they could focus more on the safety of their officers in a time when police are being targeted for attacks and killed on a regular basis. No, let's just see what Jamal and Lamon want. Let's worry about appeasing the BLM morons. Let's pretend the "racist police" are actually a real concern. Nothing surprises me anymore on this department. It's a complete fucking joke and it's going to cost officers their lives. Fat Eddie and his whole crew of dumbfuck bosses need to be replaced.

I had heard the same thing, and that they're keeping it on the down low, to hell with the transparency and need to know. President Trump better allocate money to have bomb dogs at all major airports, Railways and mass transit systems. More explosive dogs in general to go through some of these bigger venues from this point forward Would be a smart move also. If I was of ill intent, I'd be looking at United Center, Soldier Field, Wrigley Field and what was US cellular Field to detonate something during a game, concert etc. maybe the 9 1/2 finger prick can find some money for about 20 more bomb dogs. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when something gets blown up.

I hope everyone will calm down about Trump. What everyone is forgetting is Emanuel's brother (the Hollywood agent) was Trump's agent. What everyone is forgetting that Emanuel's brother has made Trump a lot of money. I don't know if he still had his brother as a agent prior to him stopping his Apprentice TV program. There will be a lot of joking around by the brothers. Trump claims his brother is a dear friend. So let's wait and see. If, and this is a big if, Trumps has some type of law enforcement action it is not going to happen before Sessions is sworn in as Attorney General. Sessions is going to have to take time to get his feet wet in his position, so I would not hold my breath to long waiting for federal help. Several days ago there was a post on SSC regarding a Federal Joint Task Force on Crime. Again, that is going to take some time, but in the mean time things can get very interesting. Especially if Trump cuts off funds against Sanctuary Cities.

Summarizing the points and links above: Scruffy white guy with a multi-racial girlfriend and what appears to be their child comes to Chicago by himself and rents a room on AirB in one of the less picturesque neighborhoods of Chicago, then starts building pipe bombs in the room, but decides to go out and score some drugs instead. Gets found-out when the owner's prescription meds go missing (the article doesn't say if he found them or where) and is suspicious of the renter given his inquiring about where to buy drugs so he looks in the room, sees the pipe bomb lying there and calls the cops [so his house doesn't get blown-up when this goofball tries to work on his bomb while high].

My money is on "travelling anarchist protester".

Can anyone confirm that this moron will potentially be looking at Club Fed time?
