Surprise Surprise
We're pretty sure every cop we know predicted exactly this five or more years ago:
- A man who works for the anti-violence group CeaseFire is among a group of alleged gang members rounded up Thursday as part of a two-year investigation by Chicago Police and federal authorities.
Federal prosecutors announced Friday that Francisco “Smokey” Sanchez has been charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a felon. Sanchez is a “violence interrupter” for CeaseFire and is part of the [g]angster [t]wo-[s]ix [n]ation street gang, according to law-enforcement sources.
Sanchez, 50, is among 48 alleged gang members facing federal or state charges, the U.S. Attorney’s office announced.
This is what happens when you pretend that career criminals have something of value to contribute to the on-going crime problems - you know, like liberals think.

the ongoing ritual sacrifices occurring

Remember how "The Spirits of The Air"
reported that those death-loving m/fers
were all laughing, high-fiving and
congratulating each other in front of
City Hall as they waited for their fine
heavy sedans to whisk them away so they
could cash Rahm's check?
That, was a well hit lick.
Of course even more hilarity ensued
less than two weeks later when a
Cease-Fire lieutenant managed to
get housed for transporting serious
felony weight in illicit street
pharmaceuticals.
Whatever happened with that case?
Rahm apparently ordered a media black-out
and it seems to have gone away.
Oh well...
As always, it's The Police who
are the problem in Chicago.
All he has to say it wasn't his gun and fox-throat will just release him because domestic terrorist (gang members are honest).
Isn't he a little old and long in the tooth to be a member of a street gang? Maybe a mistake was maade.

Off topic: Narcotics is losing one of there own to yet another unit, unbelievable. The sergeant, who I wish to be nameless is the biggest asshole any working copper and supervisor will ever meet. He has lost entire teams during his over stayed time due to his incompetence. He also has a habit for blaming others after messing everything he touches up. We just want to share his over confident but no common sense style of supervision with the rest of the department. He's to heavy to get launched back to patrol so some other unit is stuck with him. Good-bye ass-hat, you won't be missed.

I'm pretty sure I know exactly who you are referencing. I'm guessing the initials are MS! If so, I totally agree with your analysis! With that being said, I'm hoping the new commander of Narcotics listens to the men and women working in Narcotics regarding several other garbage supervisors. Believe me. There are many! The PO'S working there know who they are.
Those charged at the state level will be out on bond. Have you seen the new ASA guidelines for I-bonds.
