Relapse
- WEST BRANDYWINE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two counselors working at a facility to help recovering drug addicts were found dead from what appears to be a lethal overdose of heroin and fentanyl, the Chester County district attorney's office said.
It happened at the Freedom Ridge Recovery Lodge on Freedom Valley Circle in West Brandywine Township.
According to authorities, medics were called to the facility, which is a private residence used as a halfway house, around 2:15 p.m. Sunday.
That fentanyl is a wicked high.

My dog had that crap after leg surgery. Never want to go though that again....he lived but never again.
The old do as I say not as I do.
It sounds like the counselors really needed the help.
Seems like a little counter productive to me, Don'tcha THINK????
These adult Americans were merely indulging in recreational activities by exercising their right to ingest any substance they want, free of government interference.

Whenever I see junkies, they look like they are dead when they are nodding. I hear it is expensive too. I guess these two qualified individuals will never have to pay for dope again.
Two stupid prizes for two winners at the stupid games table.
I always point out this behavior to my kid and tell her "that is what drugs do". I hope she is getting the correct message....
Please be safe officers, G_d Bless CPD!
Huzzah! Do it again now!
Those very dead-icated counselors were just demonstrating the dangers of drugs.
You just can't help some people. Some drug addicts will never stop being drug addicts. You might as well be pissing in the wind. Instead of letting them kill themselves off as they will invariably do, some bleeding heart will want to try to "save" them from themselves. That's fine, but why can they never do it without taxpayer dollars?
You can't help someone that doesn't want to help themselves.

At least they weren't brought back from the dead by Narcan. We don't have to worry about them any more. Good riddance.
Not surprised, most counselors are themselves recovered addicts.
Private residence? What's the property crime rate in that hood???
Looks like they won't do that again!
Addicts are never recovered. This was a recipe for disaster. There needs to be at least one individual there that never had any sort of addiction issues.
Nothing to serious I hope!
I know , I know I'm sorry,but good.
by-by, next...........
Rumor was in Vietnam Kuhn Sa the drug lord would bury his men who were strung out on heroin up to their necks in the ground until they were "better".
This is why it is futile to play giuns n drugs and drugs and guns in terry stops.
Leave the druggies to end themselves - and they will....which is a WIN WIN for us all. When enough DIE that ugly death, those considering USING it will have to ponder their DEATHS. Cops will not be risking broken legs and being SHOT over a stash.
There is such a huge lesson here, so many huge lessons, I just wish people would finally learn them. You can NEVER stop a junkie from being a junkie. SO stop trying to accomplish that which can not be accomplished. Just admit that we CAN'T, literally CAN'T and lets make smart decisions going forward.
