And Now the Lawsuit

Rahm taking heat from all sides - and deservedly so:
  • Accusing Mayor Rahm Emanuel of trying to cut a “back-room deal” with U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, lawyers for Black Lives Matter Chicago and other community groups filed a class-action lawsuit Wednesday seeking federal oversight of the city’s police department.

The 132-page complaint immediately blew up the debate over police reform in Chicago. It may force City Hall to the negotiating table after the mayor tried to abandon the idea of a federal monitor. Or, it may lead to a lengthy court battle.
We're pretty sure it can't be a "back-room deal" for two reasons:
  1. There's no back-room, and
  2. Sessions isn't taking part.
A deal needs two parties and Rahm is a party of one.

Also, what standing exactly does #blm have to file the lawsuit? How are they an "aggrieved party"? Any legit Court would most likely toss the suit (with leave to re-file) based solely on that fact.

Ok, we all hated Shortshanks and we despise Rahm, but you'd have to say that looking back to old man Daley, Rahm has to be the worst mayor in the last 60+ years.

Since the suit was filed in Federal Court - hopefully a federal jurist will admonish the #blm boys and girls to stop wasting the court's time. Hope the court security staff search them thoroughly since they are known to carry firearms on park district property, like Buckingham fountain.

Well said, SCC. Everybody knows Cook County courts are legit.

POTUS and USAG told Rahm:
"YOYOMF!"

So all these media reports about
"Rahm in contatct with DOJ officials
to hammer out consent decree for CPD"
are pure donkey dung.

Nary a soul in D.C. is willing to talk
with Rahm because of the way he plays.

How can blm sue rham or anybody for that matter? They claim they are a movement and not a group when sued by a Louisiana Police Officer so the lawsuit against them should be dropped. Now blm claims they are a group and want to sue rham?

The ‘thin blue line’ reigns supreme. The city of Chicago has proven time and time again that it is incapable of ending its own regime of terror, brutality and discriminatory policing

Elsewhere in the United States, Black Lives Matter is defending a lawsuit claiming that their movement does not have corporate status to be sued.

Nice how BLM wants it to work both ways.

Anyone notice the lovely fact in the Sun Times article? Little Lisa Madigan has announced her support of this litigation! So to all the FOP executives who in the past have endorsed her because "We need a friend in Springfield" - just how has that benefited us? To Deano and Mark Donahue, her biggest supporters, please don't even bother bringing up her lying name for her 2018 campaign request for endorsement. The name Madigan should be left out of the equation, including her step dad.
When it comes to law enforcement on the State & County level - we have no allies in the AG and SA's offices.

If blm repeatedly states that they can not be sued as they are a loosely affiliated group of individuals, then how is it possible to file a lawsuit?
Oh, right....sorry, they get to keep your cake and eat it to.

Led by the northwestern univ crowd, blm has what money to pay for lawyers billing hours or the other plaintiffs who claim status, just what $$$$ are they seeking because in the end it's all about $$$$.

So you don't like RaHM, what alternatives did you have Willie Wilson, Chuey Garcia, you'd be real happy with those clowns leading a 3 ring ring circus in City Hall.

Let them have oversight, BUT remember you just have to answer the call, write your report and take no more action than necessary to preserve your job. Let 'em sell dope shoot anything they want as long as it is not us as we have seen these animals donot care who is in their way.

Oh and by the way another voice for oversight is the Aggressive State Atty' General Madigan, the one who has prosecuted what or whom in her never ending political career. Another hack looking for our backing now with knife at her side.

Just can't help but think how stupid some people/folks can be. Are they really sure they want police reforms enforced with the current administration? I reckon they've never heard of the term "Be careful of what you wish for, you might get it."

Got some good ideas I think. All lawsuits against the police will have to be approved through the U.S. Attorneys office. All Law Enforcement Officers have all the rights provided by God and the U.S. Constitution. (You threaten a cop and get your ass killed, tough shit!) An effective death penalty will be used in all 50 states and U.S. provinces. Effective means you will not sit on death row for years avoiding justice. Habitual offenders will lose their U.S. citizenship and will be deported. If you can't obey the law, you can disobey it somewhere else. Fathers get 10 minutes alone with the convicted molester of their children with a hammer, baseball bat or other item deemed not to be a weapon in 2017 Chicago.
Got some other ideas but some people might find them offensive, or racist, or something that doesn't protect criminals and illegal aliens. Oh, another idea! Drug dealers have to move to the Phillipines or face a father's wrath.

The CPD doesn't need a consent decree to cut back on stops, arrests, tickets and uses of force. Any idiot, except A.G. Lisa Madigan, Prof. Futterman and BLM Chicago, can easily see that CPD has already voluntarily cut back on all measurable policing activity without a consent decree. This self adjustment, brought on by anti-police actions after the Laquan McDonald incident, causing a drastic reduction in arrest activity, during 2016 and into 2017 is the leading factor in Chicago's dramatic increase in murders, especially among African American males. Notice that no where in the lawsuit does it mention the glaring, obvious direct correlation between the reduction in police activity and the increase in murders. It's amazing how tone deaf white liberal progressives and black activists are to the everyday violence and suffering in the cities black neighborhoods. The fact Chicago now has more homicides than New York and Liz Angeles combined, is lost on the anti-police crowd. It seems like the police are the only ones trying to do something about the violence. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is absolutely right that a few bad incidents should not determine overall policing policy. Chicago's tragedy of skyrocketing murders is proof of that.

What liberal judge is going to allow a baseless lawsuit?
Maybe an appointed Illinois one, but that's as far as it will get.
The fairy tale notion the MSM pushes is that Rahm can get a backroom deal?
Not in THIS White House.
He hasn't a chance in hell to get even an automated postcard reply from The WH for anything.
I'm sure they even keep his phone calls on hold until he hangs up.

Rahm bankrolled all this 2018-19 hopes into the dismal Hillary Campaign.
His freeloder money train never came into the station, nor his global initiatives.
So in partisan Democrat fashion he joins the unhinged resistance sore-loser, antii-President Trump crowd.
(remember, he had no opinions or complaints about Candidate Donald J. Trump)

Rahm is going to bend over backwards again for the b-l-m and that's a promise.
There's no WH Handout Money coming. He knows this for a fact.
Coming up with an FOP Contract change is eminent and he best option to appease the angry so-called underserved advocates.

LET Rahm pretend to have his Sanctuary and Freeloader base of support.
They can't and won't help him get re-elected.
We shouldn't either.
Don't get caught up in their community freak outs, shootings and killings, as more violence is coming in the Summer of Rahm.

Stay Fetal - 1st & 16th with plenty of GOCR's to keep The Area CMO active.

The threats they should all be in prison could you imagine the outrage if Barry Obama had this against his pathetic tenure?

America you have the thin blue line doing everything we can to make America safe again, but looking at Chicago the thin blue line is getting thinner daily we are down thousands of street coppers, and the sa kimmy foxx and her cohorts are letting felons out quickly who are bent on more death and destruction!

The Machine had BLM dig up some "injured" parties. Those parties are naming *individual officers* as the defendants. BLM will help the parties claim that it was CPD policy to have those individual officers harass gangbangers....I mean peoples of colors..... which led to those injuries. Those parties (and their lawyers) need to 'git payd'. The parties will then kick some money back to whatever umbrella non-profit is training and organizing BLM. Eddie T. Johnson will apologize for letting his boo cheat....I mean hurting POC's feelings....I mean doing police work. And Rahm can run for re-election on a platform of taming the evil, racist, over-active police. Then everyone in Chicago will finally be happy again! Yaaaaaa! :) :) :)

People should Deal with Hollywood the same way they should deal with politicians, with a vote. You choose to watch their shows and movies, you choose to vote Democratic, or NOT. It's funny that most people are more willing to drive to the border to go shopping than pay city tax, but can't get a handle on much else.
The words Chicago, Corruption, and Liberal Democrats are joined at the hip and the zombie population is numb to it. When crime moves in to snowflakes neighborhood they ($) move out to destroy another community. Everywhere else, it becomes a way of life. Why bother fighting it anymore and become the nail that sticks up. Stay fetal until retirement or start looking for a better career.

Not a fan of BLM, but if they can make cut this little cake-eating Joker from Winnetka to two terms, I'm behind them. He created this mess by sitting on the tape and settling for millions of dollars, then becoming all squirrelly and screwing every and all officers. Fuck him and his ilk.
