This one slipped by last night, the typical night when City Hall releases bad news or stuff they want to bury. It builds on Rahm's "independent monitor" efforts:
- Mayor Rahm Emanuel has backed off his commitment to enter a court-enforced agreement with the federal government to reform the Chicago Police Department, his administration confirmed late Friday.
Instead, Emanuel's administration is seeking a solution outside of court, one that drew criticism from criminal justice experts, reform advocates and the former federal official who oversaw the yearlong civil rights investigation into the police force that led to a damning report on the department's problems.
That's pretty much what we and our commentators said last night. Rahm owns this, lock, stock and barrel.

That's odd because everyone should have received the email from fat head ed stating how he's all in favor of reaching an agreement with the Feds even though Trump and other politico's deemed obscene decrees as monsters.

I'd take issue with the last part of that last sentence. The part about the department's problems. The problem is with politicians that side with criminals against the police for votes.
Its the same problem in every major city drug around by its nose by liberal democrats. Screw the taxpayers, the victims, blame someone else for any and all problems and coddle the criminals and illegal aliens.

OT, if Rahm has such a strong belief in violating federal law and is continuing his push to harboring illegal aliens, how can he possibly defend the city's residency rule to any city employee. Sounds like a huge double standard. but i guess democrats are always hypocrites when it comes to their double standards. There is enough public statements about Rahm's position. Move out of the city and claim you are seeking refuge from the city's crime and are only looking for a better life for your family. It is exactly the same argument he uses. He reuses to address the real crime problem in Chicago so move your family to a safer place.

Coming off last years murder rate what could he do, kick us again, he knows were right about the savage, every decent black family knows that too, that's why their packing up the U-Haul as we speak. .....in other news around the world, a van was used to plow through a large crowd of pedestrians in a terrorist attack on the London Bridge yesterday. Fifty people were injured and seven died when assailants armed with knives exited the vehicle and began stabbing random victims. Fortunately responding police officers arrived armed only with batons........anyone read the irony in this. OverFed Ed is reportedly flying out to London to assist in stripping some of the officers hospitalized as a result of their encounter with the terrorists. Remember this incident, all of you police officers and useless media whores that read this, vehicles aren't considered deadly weapons here in Rahmunist Utopian Chicago. The question is no longer, "Can that happen here?" The question should be, "When will that happen here?" Shee-it! Rahm will still twist the story and blame the police.

Rahm is too busy lining up Hispanic votes by instituting sanctuary city reforms to worry about police reform.
Appoint more Community members is his only solution.
Creating more levels of Community-based government and raise taxes to pay the deadbeats.
Something any Democrat like PrickWrinkle or a Chewy Zeus would do too.
If Rahm's depending on Jugghaid to muster up some govmint money from The White House, there's no chance.

Isn't it ironic that Rahm Emanuel wants Chicago to be a "sanctuary city" to reflect "our values" and so Chicago will be a "welcoming city."
If any of you boys and girls are familiar with ICE, their agents generally do not target mothers shopping for groceries or school children. They usually choose to deport people who are convicted criminals, gang members, felons, rapists and the like. Those are their priorities.
So exactly who are the people that Rahm and his aldercreatures are seeking to protect? For all of their poetry about hardworking folks wanting to live the American Dream (by climbing the fence and breaking the law?) the people that that want to offer sanctuary are usually criminals.

So the Feds spent probably millions with the DOJ's investigation and the City of Chicago is spending hundreds of thousands on "blue ribbon" panels and such and what exactly have we accomplished? Other then publicly stating the CPD is racist of course. The democratic way.
