- Facebook video showing a young child brandishing what appears to be a handgun on Chicago’s South Side is raising new concerns about kids and guns.
The video shows three young boys walking at a shopping center at 63rd and Halsted. A driver is heard taunting the boys, telling one of them to show him his gun. The youngster eventually does so.
The video has surfaced at the same time Chicago police say a boy as young as 6 years old is a suspect in an armed robbery in another Chicago neighborhood.
The manager of a restaurant at the shopping center on Halsted says the boys often stop in, asking for food, and she’s worried the one with the gun might kill someone or get himself killed.
Remember, police are the problem, not shorties running around with pistols.

Yes I read this story, did not believe, saw the video and it disgusts me on several fronts. First of all, how is this kid begging for food, where are his parents? Two, there is always outrage when a cop takes out a thief or a banger, none here so far. To me, that troubles me. This video should be viral with someone finding the parents and ending their rights immediately. If that kid comes up on the wrong person, he is dead. And rightfully so. I feel for the cops in this situation. That split second can cost him or her their life.
It's no big thing. In the ME ISIS is having kids as young as seven or eight execute prisoners, either with a knife or a gun.
Man these kids keep getting their FOID cards and CCW permits earlier and earlier these days.
Someone should tell their fathers. Let them handle it.

What a terrible decision a decent human being will have to make if you see a 6-year old draw down. Not sure if it's a real gun but it doesn't matter. What is real is that death stare and vile street language coming from these tiny savages. Look hard and listen closely Chicago. This is just an example of black street-culture that we have to deal with on a daily basis. Yet it's the police culture in this city that's the problem? Sheeeeit.

In the early 1950's our mother would take us by bus from 71st and California to 63rd and on to Halstead. Sort of like a family outing, especially at Christmas time. By the early 1960's I took the L to Univ of Ill and the area resembled a garbage dump. So much for Chicago values. I suppose young thugs with guns are better than shoppers in the Chicago scheme of things. Keep paying those taxes and support your local politicians, things will only get better and better.

We're surprised because we are judging them by our standards. It's clear that these kids are much more capable of acting the same way as the adults. One reason for that could be there's less of a difference between the kids and the adults.
