Quotas Again?

We could swear that we've seen this disavowed by all sorts of bosses - in person, in print - but it keeps on popping up:
  • CMDR Cindy ShAMe mass transit demanding activity or partners will be split up and assigned spots will be changed. Sgt G "okay" R, says you'll ain't on point. We got quotas now?
Hey Special Ed, take care of this before the surgery, would you? Thanks.

How about Area Central canceling officers RDOS on labor day weekend from Sep1st-5th. How is this even possible? Yes if your on tact, or other units I can understand. But the guys on the watch???

Cindy Sam is NOT a bad boss to work with. She is about to get a promotion from the rumors we hear in the hall.
We even heard it 1st hand at the UnNOBLE meeting last Wednesday.

The majority of the officers assigned to the unit are spoiled super dogs. They been fetal over 20 years. They don't get
any activity and that's fine but don't turn around and ask for favors or special treatment.
All she wants is for them to do their job.

The guys detailed to O'Hara airport are the main problem. Old 30 year flip phone pager carrying lazy dogs that should retire but to lazy
to fill out the par form.

Most of the Sgt's are kool except a certain tact sgt is alil hyper and a female sgt on days is a micro manager.
A lot of bosses wives are hiding in that unit as well.

Probably because about 70% of the people there are just detailed To the unit, so that's how they imagine activity can be enforced. Thoughts?

While she should not be demanding any arrest quotas, it isn't hard to see that with crime up on the CTA over 90% along with the dismal (and that's putting it nicely) arrest statistics currently generated by the personnel assigned to the Mass Transit unit, one can safely assume that the Cmdr. is on the hot seat.

Maybe she can find a way to move some of the lead out of the unit and bring in some younger bodies. Seniority is a nice thing to have, until it becomes an embarrassment whereby the laziest can remain almost perfectly still doing absolutely nothing while hiding behind it.

Sgt G is a stand up dude. He may have said okay just to get out of her office. But in the end, violations are in front of you all the time, i.e. Parked in CTA designation and smoking on or near any CTA platform or entrance.

In defense of these guys and gals working the trains and buses, it is pretty difficult to generate activity while dressed in full uniform. They should be allowed to look like the people that use the conveyance.

I used to regularly work CTA special in plain clothes and we were always able to get at least two arrests a night. Satisfied the bosses and gave me at least an extra court date a month.

Seems like a pretty simple solution to an activity problem.

Superintendent is in "crisis" mode!!!! His COS RUSSELL has been fired and now the superintendent "does not" have "anyone" to make a decision for him....From what i hear is WHEEEEZZZZEEEE was by his house(of course during her working hours) rubbing the superintendents head telling him it's going to be "ok" and that we can talk about this after "the wedding"

Oh please. Mass transit is infested with lazy ass do nothing po's. If the mass transit commander, especially Cindy Sams has to speak to activity then you mofo's are certainly not doing jack shit. Stop bitching as I can tell you your unit is being looked at to be dissolved and its back to patrol for you dog asses. Hell CTA special employment brings in more activity than your unit hence they will absorb all the CTA responsibilities of your joke of a unit.

Cindy Sam is a super nice person. I'm so sorry the total clout do nothing babies at mass transit are complaining. I know a Sgt there. He says the officers do absolutely NOTHING!!!!!!!!! They don't even do paper. If they see a crime they call the district of occurrence and have them come. Sorry SCC the goofs in this unit don't pull a three year old toddlers weight let alone there own. Screw them and get to work!!

There it is in a nut shell, when a specialized unit like the Bomb Squad shows up at an incident, and have to request assistance; you're going to get nothing from these assholes. I say dump the hole unit and bring in some new blood. Or how about rotating the O'Hara detail for a few periods into the 10th,11,15 and 7th dist. to give those guys and gals some R and R.

That is on her. Last commander there had no problem with her stats. Crime has risen dramatically bc there is no leadership. She has no clue how to do her job. No idea what the difference is between accountability and just numbers that she doesn't understand. She deserves to sink

Sorry to the complainer who posted this, but I've seen the data from PTS--and also seen the complete lack of work ethic on display from many in that unit--and any criticism is well-founded, as is the commander's expectation to see some signs of life and dedication to duty from those in her unit. The CTA crime data and understandable media coverage of it completely justify kicking some people's asses into gear.

The 002nd District is not only denying time and utilizing reverse seniority on RDO's for Labor Day, this was also done over Memorial Day and the 4th of July. So, this is nothing new in Area Central. Morale boosting at it's best. The only manpower that comes to 002 is in the form of recruits or promotions right out of the academy. I wonder why.

IT sounds like she is just asking for guys to get off their DEAD ASSES and at least come in with something. A least write a parker or two.

Look at the Sun-Times article on overtime.
Some guys don't do shit and are pushing $200,000 with O.T.

To the asshole complaining about the Lt that covers midnights, if it's Lt DK you are referring to, you sir are a complete asshole and are worthless on this Department. That Lt scored in the top 20 of his class, and while the rest of his class was grossly over-promoted beyond their incompetence, he worked 1st Watch in 3. So whatever jerkoff clout you have FUCK YOU and your piece of shit chinaman!

At the very least, people need to justify their existence. The last time I checked, this job is not a welfare system.

Hey asshole, just because you scored well on a test does not mean you will make a good supervisor, or a good leader. Ask the people that have worked for EG, she is the smartest person on this Dept. just ask her, no one would work with her if they had too. As far as these tests are concerned, I would not give to much credit to test scores regarding this job either. Just because you know somebody off duty does not mean you know what that person is like at work. One more thing a patrolman might act a lot different then they do as an Lt. even though it should not be that way. They just forgot where they came from, that means he became a Dick and he thinks he is better then everyone else and guess what the bottom line is; that most of the blue shirts and some of the white shirts have no respect for him and that makes him a dick.

You dummies that compare Special Employment to Mass Transit are retarded, truly.
Mass Transit=no cars, 8 hour fixed post in uniform some days (depending on watch) and 6 people on average in roll call most days.
Special Employment=cars, 2 hour fixed posts in uniform and at least 8-12 in roll call per watch.

How does anyone expect activity or being able to respond to calls on the lines with no cars and tour of duty fixed posts? Not to mention that CTA is who makes police policy in Mass Transit now. Commander CS prefers it that way; she gives CTA whatever they want.

All you crybabies go back to humping your beat car and someday you might be able to get there on a bid. Oh nevermind, you'll just keep crying instead of grieving the amount of detailed officers that have gone there lately, circumventing the bid process.
