Countdown to see if Ray Lopez says something monumentally stupid again:
- Four people, including a woman police believe was pregnant, were killed on Friday night in a rifle attack in the Brighton Park neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 8:40 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Fairfield Avenue, police said. Three males, ages currently unknown, and a woman were inside a vehicle when someone inside a white SUV opened fire on them with a rifle, police said.
Responding police officers found their bodies inside the vehicle and they were pronounced dead on the scene. Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the woman was believed to be pregnant, but police won't know for sure until the autopsy.
And how prevalent are the rifles in the hood?
- The Brighton Park neighborhood and the nearby Back of the Yards neighborhood have been the scene of dozens of rifle shootings that have occurred since early 2016.
In February, the Chicago Tribune reported that gangs in the two neighborhoods were increasingly using rifles styled after AR-15s and AK-47s. At the time, there had been more than 30 shootings believed to have been tied to semi-automatic rifles in the two neighborhoods over the last year.
At least 46 people were shot in those attacks, 13 fatally.
The shooting happened near the office of Ald. Raymond Lopez, 15th, who sparked a firestorm this past spring when he said "no innocent lives were lost" after two people were killed and eight others wounded when two masked gunmen with rifles opened fire on a group congregating at a makeshift memorial for a man who had been slain in an earlier shooting.
People (or folks) don't want to hear that truth Ray. You should know that. You get elected on lies constantly, blaming the police, society, racism, guns. Never ever tell anyone that they're responsible for their lot in life. Not a cop but here is my rant. The recent office opened up to investigate just cop misconduct is massive. 141 employees and I am sure budget in the millions. So let's imagine for shits and giggles we had another office opened. One that would seek out the young black men who are destroying our city and now the suburbs on a daily basis. They would scour the schools looking for the young men who refuse to attend school but are disruptive, once arrested, depending on the severity, impose a very strict punishment. No program or mentorship. Real discipline. The kind where in my day, you would call it corporal punishment. But guess what, it fucking worked. No one I grew up with were even compared to the little assholes running the streets today. We had truant officers, you got your ass paddled at school, then got your ass beat at home by your FATHER. That is the kind of office we need.

Fly On the Wall: Off Topic: I have been posting ever since Rahm announced the formation of COPA several things are going to occur. One of the main goals is to obtain a sustain rate between 8-10%. This is a unwritten goal. This is going to obtained by the investigators being pressured by their team supervisors. Here is how this will occur. A investigator will make a judgement on a case. If the supervisor does not concur the case will get kick back to the investigator for further investigation with specific recommendations. The investigator then will have to follow the recommended recommendations. If the investigator after following the recommendations still can not find the case sustained then it goes to another investigator to follow the new instructions. If the new instructor can not find a favorable outcome (sustain) then it will be the call of the supervisor. The Supervisor will be evaluate on this 8-10% sustained rate. Supervisor are not part of ASME there for serve at the pleasure of the Chief Administrator. If a investigator has not met his or her quota then several things will occur. One of the first steps is counseling. Investigators are going to been evaluated. Per union rule(ASME)a member can't just get fired for one negative evaluation. However, the Chief Administrator can deni a schedule pay raise. If the Chief Administrator denies a investigator a pay raise because of poor evaluation the mechanics for dismissal then begins. Let me be clear here, Farley will want to make a example of one of her own, preferably a left over investigator from the previous IPRA and fire the person. This sustained rate of 8-10% comes from Rahm. He then can say to the "People" how his leadership improved the oversight of PO's. The attitude now is get the Officer on anything and suspend them or if called for fire them and let them go to court and sue to get back on the job. What Rahm ultimate goal here is to financially break the union. (Speaking of the Union there is much turmoil involving certain members of the leadership of the union) there is another issue taking place. Affidavits. the City is going to the wall with this issue. I predict that the contract will go to arbitration. The City will argue that it can not conduct fair investigations with the signing of affidavits. If the arbitrator rules in favor of the city then Rahm will have one of the State Legislators change the law regarding affidavits and exempt Chicago from the law. Let me be clear here, if you thought IPRA was bad as the old saying goes, You have not seen anything yet.

CHICAGO POLICE MAKE GROUND BREAKING CHANGES.
In a sweeping monumental shift in Police Strategy,.Chicago Police Superintendent Johnson announces major changes in the way the CPD responds to criminal activity. Johnson observed during the recent Hurricanes in Texas and Florida, first responders were not dispatched when conditions were too dangerous to do so. Therefore, based on that model, the following changes will be made.
1. Effective 1 Oct 2017, When a crime is reported to be in progress to the City's 911 system, a squad car will not be immediately dispatched. Rather, the dispatcher will make a note of the alleged incident. Thirty minutes later, a squad car will be sent to the scene. This new procedure will allow the criminal to complete his supposed crime without interference by the Police. This policy is expected to eliminate thousands of potential conflicts between the public and police. When the responding unit arrives and no victim can be found, the reported crime will be classified as Unfounded.
3. If a officer on patrol observes a possible crime in progress, the officer will not stop and interfere. It has been deemed TOO dangerous. Many violent Police-Citizen confrontations can be avoided.. Instead, the officer will continue to drive for 15 minutes, then turn around and drive 15 minutes back to the location. If the victim is found and alive, the officer may make a report of the incident providing the location is safe to do so. If the crime scene has a large crowd of angry citizens, the victim will be instructed to go into the nearest police facility and report the supposed crime. The officers will not interfere with the crowd and will leave immediately. If the victim is not able or willing to make a report, the incident will be considered Unfounded and no crime will be recorded.
2. Driving while Black. The Secretary of State will issue email addresses to Black drivers which will be attached to the license plates of all African American car owners. Drivers who self identify as Black will also be included. When an Police Officer observes a Black driver commit a moving traffic violation, the officer will not stop the vehicle. Rather, the officer will make a note of the infraction. Subsequently, the officer will email the driver and inform them of the offense. The driver will, when convenient to do so send Mayor Emanuel or Father Pfleger a fifty dollar donation. When the donation is received, the driving infraction will be removed from the drivers record with the Secretary of State and no offense will be considered to have taken place.
3. If any African American or any person who self identifies as Black is alleged to have committed a crime on any street named after a Slave owner, IE Washington, Jefferson, Monroe, or other such street named for a slave holder, that individual will be given immunity from arrest or prosecution until such street names are changed. Any criminal incident occurring on property previously described will be for reporting purposes Unfounded and no crime will be recorded.
4. By implementing these steps, the City of Chicago will statistically become one of the safest cities in the country. Tourism will increase dramatically, conventions will return and property values will increase.

Having grown up in Brighton Park, I follow a facebook group from there, people in the group posted that the female was pregnant, they would know, several live there and are sickened by their own. Have friends that have relatives still living there and they are told not to visit as there is always shooting.

I started in 009 in the 80's and back then Brighton Park was an extremely quiet, suburban like neighborhood.
Ritchie and Rahm's 'dreamers" have decimated that neighborhood.
