Welcome to 012, Commander Chung. Know that the majority of us are as happy as little kids on Christmas morning. This is the day the officers Bubblehead abused from 013 were waiting for -- a commander who worked with them as a sergeant earlier in his career. A good guy and leader who isn't impressed by BS spewed by sycophants up his ass. We're going from one of the worst, if not the worst, commanders to one of the best. Huge thanks to whoever did that.
Anyone else wonder where Bubblehead is going? He hasn't retired, so where was he moved to? The email didn't say. A time out at OEMC or some other irrelevant position until he runs out of IOD time and is forced to retire? He won't be invited to his "retirement" party as it will be a celebration for all but his "boys."
Those Bubblehead Boys were visibly upset today as they know they will be going to 1st Watch per their lack of seniority. No more management assignment to 2nd Watch so they can play on that thieving arrogant scumbag's softball team. No more cushy spots in the commander's office and tact -- do nothing jobs for Bubblehead's "work wives" and other assorted suck-ups..
Lt. P and Lt Z, are you going to change your personality to match the boss, like you did with a Bubblehead? Sure hope so. You both morphed into arrogant, evil, revengeful asshats under his tutelage. Will Lt P's two ticket queens who came with him from 006 now have to take jobs, back up other officers and work a full Watch, or will they be allowed to duck out a couple of hours early constantly?

Please keep us in mind for Bubble heads retirement party. The man was amazing he could steal the smoke from a chimney. Worked the wagon with the great leader had a doa, Sinai to the morgue. Well the deceased had only seventy cents that Bubble asked if I had change?
More importantly the deceased had a hearing aid. Immediately Bubble removed the battery, stating the hearing aid battery might work in his watch. Told him keep the,coin, battery and whatever else he wanted from the remains. Stolen car recoveries were cash makers for Bubble, especially if the ride had a full sized spare. Floormats, sunglasses, anything of the slightest value was recovered for the Bubble head foundation.
Chung a great commander, always willing to speak with the po’s. You will be missed, good luck.

Ernie Cato jumped from Lt to Commander? He may have made dick on his own, but merit sgt, Lt, and now Commander. All this in about ten years. Wow
How does the 9th District get a commander who doesn't speak Spanish? With so many diversity concerns of the newly arrived immigrants in the McKinley Park, Brighton Park, New City and Back of the Yards sanctuary community, the new commander does not look like nor have anything in common with those who are assimilating . Some community activitists have concerns that residents will remain in the shadows until this culturally ackward storm passes. And besides, he has a ghost address in the city so does not have much in common with the average city folks. Its a long drive to get to work into the Corporate limits of the City of Chicago putting all that excessive mileage on the company car.
Dep Chief of CAPS...WTF is THAT. What pray tell, does that job involve..I was once promoted to Executive Vice Pres. in charge of Office Snacks back in the day at a previous job.....

I've worked under XO Randal Darlin, by far the best XO I've worked with and I've worked under 4 of them. He communicate with his people, he's out there on the frontlines, and he leads front the front. He holds people accountable. Is that why he's an Asshole.

Darlin just 3 years ago was screaming all over the air as a small time LT in some unit with the dispatcher asking "is there a female with an emergency?" Now he's a commander?!?! Good luck 009. Imagine what all the real policemen from the 70's and 80's would do in this dept now a days.
It's amazing that all these merit, cool-aid drinking idiots think this dept is still legitimate and impactful. The entire idea of the CPD being legitimate died a long time ago. If you want a good laugh think about how all these merit idiots a week before they found out they got promoted were just as discouraged and beat down as the rest of the rank and file. Now they love the dept and are telling guys to get out there and work like it's still 1995.

Don't get your hopes up, nothing will change. No one will go back on midnights or leave tact front office or commanders. What usually happens is they stay and the new commander brings in some of his people and they just put a few more chairs in the front and commanders office

The leadership from Sgts on up in 015 has been laughable for a few years, now. When you allow the P.O.s and Sgts under your command get away with whatever they want without the fear of any disciplinary action, it's no surprise that the district has gone to hell. There's been virtually zero personal accountability by the white shirts in this district for far too long. I'm guessing the rampant favoritism here won't change any time soon, but hey, a guy can hope! HA!

Darlin was my gang LT and he’s a very knowledgeable boss who loves his workers and will stand behind them. He does love good work but unfortunately he’s a little selfish and likes the spotlight and recognition. Hopefully now that he made commander he’ll let his guys take the credit for the good work that comes through the door.

Damn Skippy, the XO in 015 was the brains behind the operation for a long time. But calling that out is racist. DB is a nice guy but had the far more intelligent PK run it the entire time. DB even admitted how he couldn't have done it without him. Now you have EC who thinks he's the smartest man in the room but is soon to find out otherwise. Anyone else hear why EC didn't make the Captain's eligibility list?? Inquiring non-clouted minds want to know.
Cato is an ok guy but way over his head since he was a sgt. No leadership skills. Not that knowledgeable. Anointed though. Straight from the sups. Office. Will be promoted again soon. Couple people around him will be merit lts soon also. Must be nice to never have to study for any tests.

Remember she was Retired and dumped Deputy Superintendent Michael Shields Administrative Sergeant. A house mouse who couldn't lead anyone, let alone run a District. She was promoted on the last test and was with the connected few from that test. Look at who she was promoted with. She was also put in to be a merit Sergeant when she was in 004. When Shields was on top, she crapped on everyone she could. Beware 003. You thought Doss was bad. When Deputy Superintendent Michael Shields was President of NOBLE, look at who his cronies were. Then look at this Department and recent promotions.
