- A man is being sought by police in two home invasions that happened within 20 minutes of each other early Sunday in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the North Side. About 2:20 a.m., a man entered a home in the 500 block of West Grant Place and made sexual contact with a girl while she was asleep, Chicago Police said.
About 20 minutes earlier in the 400 block of West Belden, a man entered a home and attempted to make inappropriate sexual advances toward a girl while she was sleeping in her bedroom, police said. The incidents occurred about two blocks apart.
The man was described as between 20 and 30 years old, white, with a light complexion, about 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds, police said. He had short brown or strawberry blond hair and was believed to be a cigarette smoker.
Oh, sorry. We underlined the curious part. Every incident published in the papers (and most broadcast media) is provided a top-to-bottom description of suspects, including the most obvious one. Why they choose to print one and not the other is a constant source of bemusement to CPD personnel. We think it was the Tribune editor who said they don't include descriptions unless it was "necessary" to the apprehension of the subject, which is of course, bullshit, and allows the media to pretend they aren't licking the hand (and other body parts) of the Machine.

Sounds like the media has a serious problem discussing race. Im no fan of Eric (ball) Holder, but he may be right if he meant the Media when he said. "We are cowards when it comes to race and discussing issues."
Wanted person in this instance was not black, so worthy of mention. So I guess we have to take at face value that subjects of interest are always black unless stated otherwise...

The media is a law unto itself and marches to the beat of it's own drum. It has always been that way.
Because if they don't say "white", these days in Chicago it is naturally assumed the offender is black. They just won't admit it. Not PC.

I heard the description on my car radio and I couldn’t believe the msm gave out the ACTUAL description of the offender. Im surprised they didn’t get his date of birth home address and names of both of his parents and grandparents. Lol

There are toxonomic and genetic classifications of race. The utopian liberals do not want to believe it because the American Anthropological Association came out with some politically correct statement that race doesn't exist biologically. Not true. How about this for a thinker - if the Africans could not cross the Sahara for thousands of years, and another group lived elsewhere - they would develope/adapt differently. Let's put it another way - if you do not believe in the biological reality of race, then you, by definition, cannot believe in Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Can't have it both ways.

Print media has a job to do: Print the news. The COMPLETE news.
