- As hip hop artist Maj Toure toured the country, he kept hearing the same stories of African-Americans facing gun charges because they didn't know they were supposed to, for example, have a concealed carry permit.
Those stories and others about convicted felons having gun rights revoked prompted Toure, of Philadelphia, to create the grass-roots organization Black Guns Matter and take his message of gun rights and firearms education to African-American communities all over. That includes Chicago, where he’s spending a month doing outreach and a training session this weekend.
In two years, the group has raised thousands of dollars to host training sessions across the country, even getting a helping hand from members of the National Rifle Association.
Law abiding, self-reliant, educated and informed armed citizens? And they're in Chicago this month? Sounds like a type of "community outreach" that will give Rahm nightmares.

I am all for lawful gun use. They need more training and education in the city about the issue.

Presuming that the linked article accurately relates the essentials of this BGM endeavor, it truly is hilarious.
It's as if this young individual has no clue as to what he's actually doing with this concept.
There are 3 essential elements to the possession and use of firearms.
1. The safe and defined controlled applications of this most beneficial tool of human self defensive requirements.
2. The lawful actions required to avoid the undesirable side effects of the lawmakers' interferences in enjoying the Rights to Keep and Bear Arms.
3. The individual bearer of arms' chosen moral/ethical/honorable standards, and the awareness of any conflicts between these standards and enforcable laws within the location of the keeping and bearing of arms.
Thus, the individual choosing to engage in, and enjoy, their Rights in this area of God Given Rights, will seek out such knowledge, training, instruction, counsel, etc., in a manner most conducive to that individual's beneficial assessments.
The gist of this linked article's presumably accurate descriptions of this fellow's BGM endeavor is that it's purpose is drawn from a perceived lack of the availibity of information, concerning the 3 essentials of firearm ownership, within the self defined black communities.
In a way, that may be true, though not quite as it would be thought to be true by those not thoroughly familiar with the natures of the inhabitants of said self defined black communities.
I defer the enumerations of the many ways the objects commonly called firearms are well known to these communities to those more erudite, colorful, amusing, outrageous, tittilating, poignant, and much less tedious than I.
Bet the Trib editorial board is happy
as fuck (or not) over their decision to lend Rahm
a hand by pulling the shades on their comments section.
The remarks on THIS article would no doubt
be gist for much laughter as the lib-tards
and "community representatives" scream,
shit and go blind trying to explain this away.

I know the black community has more...issues...per capita than others. But this also means that decent, law-abiding blacks who would tend to live in these areas have an even more-pressing need to be able to defend themselves. The problems are literally in their own backyards. This sort of thing isn't going to fix itself overnight, but with enough time and support, it might happen.
The scariest thing for Rahm and his ilk I'm sure is, once people who have known nothing other than democrat rule get a taste of ACTUAL freedom, and then discover that the democrats want nothing more than to take it away from them...it has the potential to change minds.
Only question north side liberal anti gun community will have is. "How can we help".

The NRA's mission is and has been to carry knowledge, training, and attitude to the law abiding. The people of the gun are welcoming to anyone wishing to join us. The Illinois State Rifle Association has lots of education programs available to all interested parties and there are no color barriers. NRA day at the range in mid-June. It's well worth the time to go and find out exactly how nice people can be first hand. Nope, we're not terrorists. Yup, we have snacks.
The problems of the “community” are deeply rooted in the “community”. Until those folks take responsibility for their own lives and quit depending on the charity of the government, this genocide will continue. One must clean up their own house!
Some people don’t don’t about domestic, child rearing and support laws, curfews and loitering laws, traffic laws, drivers licenses and insurance laws either. Where’s that educational tour ? CPS has time to teach about fictional black boxes though.
Gun safety and rules are indeed needed. But in Cook Co IL ignorance is an affirmative defense for all violent crimes.
No law abiding citizen should be denied the Right to Bear Arms, but a high taxation on guns and the slow process puts a damper on compliance for some people. It’s hardly a trudge, but maybe some people are just too preoccupied for a basically honor system application.
Then there’s that FOID mental illness clause.

The lack of actual “convictions” in Cook Co isn’t a problem.

Why, pray tell, do you choose to be a piece of a grouping by skin color, geographical ancestory, genetical racial specifying, social/political herding, economic bribery, educational indoctrinations, community exotortionist activities, etc.?

Well, the issue here is founded in the answers to the question: What, specifically, are the criteria for an unlawful/criminal act to be classified as a felony?
With the following questions being founded in the answers to the first question:
What is/was the intended purpose of each specific unlawful/criminal act, classified as a felony, to be so classified?
What end result is intended to be achieved by so classiying each specific, unlawful/criminal acts as felonies? Either by State or Federal authorities? (ie., those making the laws.)
The answers to these questions will provide the basis for any arguements, from either position, to be thoughtfully discussed.
