Rahm opened the door for this crap, and every Tom, Dick and Harry are charging through:
- A coalition of community groups on Tuesday issued a series of demands to the offices of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan as they negotiate federal judicial oversight of the Chicago Police Department.
The 10 groups — which include Black Lives Matter Chicago, the Chicago Urban League and the NAACP — outlined their recommendations for the consent decree in a 127-page document addressing CPD operations from hiring and firing to training and use-of-force policies.
And not an iota of responsibility is placed upon the "community," just the evil police. The only part we saw that we can get behind is pulling personnel out of the schools. Leave them to their own devices and put the cops back on the beats where they belong.

The real problem for society is the Attorney Generals Office. There need to be a federal oversight and overhaul of that unit of government. Lisa Madigan “the Skank” and her father have nuteralized the office so that there will not be any prosecutions and or law suits against any democrates or friends of democrates Michael Madigan runs the office now and there is definitely an unhealthy relationship with his step daughter Lisa and her office that should be independent of democratic politics that now is ruining Chicago and the rest of the state.

Read the consent decree, absolute lunacy, they who have no experience in doing the job of a police officer is going to outline what you can do. Anything you do can be critiqued and you will be held liable. So your only option is not seeing anything, not hearing anything, not speaking to anyone. So do nothing and get paid for it. We should come up with a consent decree on what politicians, attorneys do. You see they're the ones that benefit from this drivel with pandering for votes and frivolous lawsuits. Some are members of the American Lawyers Guild. You better do some research on that to see what you are up against. And that Lisa Madigan, she should be writing a consent degree on what certain members of the State House can do or shouldn't do. What has she done to stop the corruption in this State?

The liberal groups want the cops out of the schools because they believe arrests in the schools is a pipeline to more serious issues. I have to agree that some school administrators have used the police to enforce minor school rules and the cops went along with it for one reason or another. That should stop. All of the cops should be withdrawn from the schools and let the schools hire private security.
Rahm is nothing but an Alinsky-ite intent on destroying the city.
If the community has a problem, let them call Black Lives Matter Chicago, the Chicago Urban League and the NAACP. No need to bother with 911.

I'm wondering if anywhere in the 127 page document there is a request of the "community" members to behave themselves and obey the law. From what little that has been made public there are plenty of accusations of how the police have been victimizing people of color and how they expect change. Just curious if it's a two way street?
Will people of color be asked to stop victimizing each other or stop committing "quality of life" infractions thereby negating the need for interaction with police? Will the community members be advised that the old adage "if you see something, say something" no longer exists. It's now "if you see something, say something unless they happen to be black because we don't want the police harassing us."
Just wonder how many people in the "community" actually agree with these activists? Does the average working man and woman really want the police to back off and give the streets back to the thugs? Just imagine what it feels like to not feel safe on your own street. Until these people stand up for themselves this is what they get.
Throw Jeannie Ives in the mix. She is still trying to steal our pensions.
Give them everything they want! Stay in the car until a “victim” approaches and requests a police repor or perhaps if there’s a body in the street exit vehicle and conduct a preliminary investigation. Don’t arrest anyone who doesn’t have a warrant signed by a judge. Screw these Investigative Alerts, Fox’s will seem the illegal soon enough.
This new consent decree will litterally tie our hands behind our backs and allow the criminals to run free. Self preservation is key. We are not the bad guy here, as much as they view us that way. Let them try to write you up for not doing your job, there will be numerous reasons why you couldn’t do it according to their own document. Study the consent decree and use it against them.
Quite possibly the only job in the world where the average citizen thinks they know more than you and want to tell you how to work.
So why not include the Bloods and Crypts and any other known gang members in the meeting. They should have a say about how you will police them. Maybe deputize them and forget hiring the 1000 new police officers. Let them all have a badge, they already have guns, and let them take care of community.

What the top brass and politicians have done is criminal in it's self.In the politics of Chicago, only their re-election and stealing through excessive taxing is their only concern. The protection of the very people who are taxed to death, is of no consequence. Only the boots on the ground, the police, are the real buffer between civil society and anarchy/criminals. We honor and thank the real law enforcement. Yet in Chicago, currently, it seems it's Mission Impossible.

I agree with the officer with 31 years on. I was the same way. I have 24 years and still working the street. It’s not worth it anymore. I just handle my calls and go home. No point and will not generate revenue for the haters at city hall. I feel sorry for the new officers. He is right I have never seen dog officers get jammed up. Regarding the newly promoted,I know several of those officers and they were house mouses. These are the ones going to tell you how to do a job they never have done. Stay safe go home to your families that is all that matters.

They are not the employer or the employee. They have no RIGHT to be at that table. COPA can say whatever they want. We have seen that millions of times.
I would hope that if COPA attempts to sit down during a negotiation, the bargaining unions ask for them to leave or walk out.

Jeff Sessions has done nothing. He can’t even get the DOJ , which is under him to turn over files and emails to a congressional committee who has the authority to investigate and view them. They have been stonewalling congress for over a year. A million files not turned over and Sessions won’t tell or Oder the department that he runs, the DOJ to do it

Actually the DOJ has no say in a consent decree. A Federal Judge signs off on what ever he believes is right. DOJ and Federal Court are two different branches of government. We're fucked.....
