$174 Million? From Where?
- The controversial Obama Presidential Center in Chicago will benefit from almost $200 million in taxpayer funding for work on infrastructure projects near the center on Chicago’s South Side.
The Chicago Sun Times first reported Friday that Illinois lawmakers had approved $174 million for roadwork in and around Jackson Park related to the development of the center.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a former Obama White House chief of staff, described the infrastructure improvements as “money well spent.”
And get a load of this fantasy:

There are hit theater productions here in Chicago that don't produce $310 million in economic impact per year, and they sell out 4 nights a week and twice on Saturdays.

This is not a presidential library. The only library there will be a Chicago Public library housed within this building. There will be basketball courts, tennis courts, community rooms, etc.
And since this is not a presidential library it will not be a federally maintained facility for preserving and making accessible the papers, records, and other historical materials of Obama.(Obama will not have any papers, records or other historical materials housed here. They (what little there is or he is willing to share) will be offsite with access via the internet only.

To get 3.1 bil is 310m a year or only about 1 million a day. Really all that would call for is 1000 liberal fools spending 1000 day in whatever form in the area of Chicago on meals, travel, lodging, shopping connected with seeing this waste of space to a waste of air sometime during a Chicago visit. Not that difficult to cook up such an impact. Besides think of all the scam contracts connected with keeping this complex running. And yea all the superfluous employees to it , their salaries are "economic impact" as is the powerbill of the place so not hard to pull 1 million a day "out of the air" . Hell, such figures, a grocery store could do it.
