- The deputy commissioner for Chicago's Aviation Department has been forced out of his post, officials confirmed Thursday, a day after reports he received a five-day suspension.
"Mr. Manzano no longer works for the Chicago Department of Aviation," a department spokesperson said. "We do not comment on personnel matters."
NBC 5 first revealed in May that Juan Manzano, the point person for the city's concessions at O'Hare and Midway airports, faced five complaints of harassment and bullying from male and female aviation employees.
The allegations of threatening behavior surfaced days after Mayor Rahm Emanuel unveiled a new anti-harassment campaign tied to the #MeToo movement.
Rahm would keep a serial killer on staff if it would help him garner votes, so a serial harasser isn't hard to imagine. Hell, we see who he keeps in the upper echelons of CPD, and their antics would embarrass anyone with a functioning conscience.
So with Ginger leaving, this guy being forced out and the assorted rumors of mismanagement and misappropriation, one has to wonder if a few chickens aren't coming home to roost.

It just means that Rahm does not put up with mismanagement and misbehavior. He wants his high level people to keep on the straight and narrow.
Why is the city stopping there? There should be a long line of terminations. Unless someone does not want the unemployment office to look like it should be.

I don't believe that his firing is a result of 'bullying' complaints.

Could it be there possibly, that department of justice could be looking into the massive amounts of billions and federal dollars that are being totally misappropriated? Could it be possible that indictments are forthcoming? We have a new FBI agent in charge in Chicago we have a new United States attorney assistance in Chicago maybe they want to make a name for themselves and put some of these corrupt politicians away and their cruise of criminal acquaintances! I know that I am just thinking out of the box, and it is crazy to think that the federal authorities where actually do something here besides go after police officers who do really nothing wrong but they try to make a name for himself on the back of hard-working police officers.
So the next person to take the fall for Rahms corruption and money grab,Alderman Matt O'Shea.He's being set up but not bright enough to see it.His will be a federal indictment.Be very careful Mr.O'Shea.This man is demonic.

Terminal 5 was entirely rehabbed few years ago with a whole new food court, high end restaurants and retail shops nearby.
What they paid and are paying for those concessions could have paid the entire rehab bill by now, yet Taxpayers have seen nothing in return for that money Shortshanks and Rahm have been doling out and continues to shovel into the airport expansions.
Simple audit, take a month or two and take a look at just one years worth of the invoices.

Juan is the worst kind of guy, involved with Hispanic politics he had some clout but was arrogant and not real bright. He treated regular people like shit, but kissed ass of those who were'above' him. Funny hearing the Aldermen calling his firing political/ racial! What a joke. He will be working for Tom Dart by Holloween!
