Where's the Video?
A reader makes a good point:
- Where the hell are the videos? The internet if full of videos on every damn thing under the sun but rarely of this crap. I don't expect the media to show them but I am surprised they are not showing up elsewhere. We must have 634 videos of "Saint Harish" the barber but nothing on wildings on Chicago's premier shopping area? Unreal
Here's a little secret. Videos exist.
In fact, there are tens of thousands of videos that exist, totaling hundreds of hours, all filed and categorized - body cameras, blue light cameras, private security cameras, all showing not only wildings, but gun handoffs, street shootings, more than a couple gang executions, all sorts of stuff.
But the public will never see it. Neither will most cops...unless you happen to work in one of the many SDSC rooms or downtown at records, and even then, access is restricted.
Can anyone guess why the videos will never been seen? The media copuld probably get quite a few filing FOIA requests, but they won't ever ask to see it - no doubt Rahm has ordered them not to....and it runs counter to their slanted world view.

How hard is it to film a few minutes every night and forward it to the blog?? I know it will get posted. Fuck the media! Go around them and start filming it on your cell phone. Get it to the blog and I’m sure it will make its way to YouTube as well. ☠️
The videos speak truth to power about protected racial classes, diversity and inclusiveness. They go against PC and the party agenda.
Kinda hard to file a FOIA when one doesn't have a narrow time/date range to request. Asking for too much results in some kind of weasely bullshit that = a FOIA exemption, delay, etc...
Along with a list of craptastic judges not to vote for. How about a list of interesting things to FOIA?

Lots of emotions, rightfully so. Lots of community members speaking out on the violence. Both ways. Most of the videos will disappear.
Some "celebrities" appeared, a few weren't welcomed with open arms. Filming live isn't always a good idea.

Call Tom Fitton from Judical Watch. They are experts at filing FOID requests. They got FBI and DOJ documents the US Congress couldn't get. When you file a FOID with, lets say the City, they will stall you. You then end up going into court to sue them to get what you requested.
Can a citizen or a political candidate use the FOIA to garner these tapes and make them vital? You know, through paid political advertising or possible guerrilla marketing??? Hmmmm?
I hope there isn't a purge, I mean a cyber attack or mysterious fire now,LMAO :-) :-)

Why aren’t citizens and tourists posting cellphone video of these events? Are they too busy running away from the danger? Can’t blame them for that! Rham doesn’t want these videos out because he doesn’t want Chicago to be perceived as a dangerous place, especially not in the Loop or the Mag Mile. When that happens convention business goes away, tourist business goes away, people from the ‘burbs stay in the burbs. That translates to millions of lost $$$ in tax revenues. It is certainly not in Rham’s best interests to have those videos out in the public domain.

That is FOIA, Freedom of Information Act, and anyone can file that one page form and request just about anything. Whether the city will give it to you or not is the question. But, you can find a " Guidelines for law Enforcement" on the internet, published by no less then Lisa Madigan which outlines the exceptions on this law. You can appeal any denials directly to her office. I have used this law to obtain information from suburban police departments. They don't like it for sure. I even had a useless chief yell at me. Go for it.The Better Government Association also publishes guidelines for using FOIA with your local government.
Post a list of event numbers! I know a bunch of retired guys who are willing and able to file request after request. We'll start a YouTube channel and post them all. All we need is to know what videos to foia.

Excellent point! If these videos were posted weekly it will be difficult to explain them away as a rare occurrence or something that just happens every once and awhile. Colin Flarity on YouTube does daily videos on this topic and would gladly post any video sent to him. The officers who are downtown have to start recording them that’s the only way it’s going to get any attention.

The department wants to restrict access to these videos, just like they tried to have the picture removed off Facebook that was posted by a citizen of the M/1 walking down Devon and Harlem with a rifle. This department is absolutely pathetic and it should personally bother every police officer that they go through all this to cover up the obvious, they have no intention on fixing any of these issues and have backed themselves into a corner by constantly suppressing in this case videos and catering to “the community”.
These videos should have a blog post every Monday morning showing what’s really going on downtown. Embarrass the dept, fuck them and their bullshit already if it gets enough attention from the blog maybe they will have to actually explain something and they will look like total idiots after trying to hide it for so long. Taking cell phone video is an excellent idea to expose how chaotic it really is.
Here is an idea that has been long overdue.
With all the sex abuse going on in the catholic church and a wide variety of other denominations, the time has come to install cameras in them.
For starters, the interior of st sabina's should have cameras installed throughout the complex. Also fr flakey should be wearinga body camera at all times, and a dash camera in his 2018 Black CADILLAC ESCALADE( only the finest for the padre)to capture his erratic driving. And not to forget rev JJ of operation push to capture his shakedowns of untold corporations.
When everyone else wears a body camera to capture them at their finest moments,, then and only then will we see the real behavior of these so called leaders of the community.
Politicians should be under camera 24/7.

Take, for example, the convicted felon walking down Harlem and Devon with a rifle pointing at a cars going by. the city was more concerned with trying to force Facebook to take the picture down then they were with actually dealing with the issue. like you said, there have to be tens of thousands of videos of ghetto Antics, just to take place in Chicago, there are actively suppressed by Outlets like YouTube and the mainstream media. That is one thing I have to about the police in the UK, for sure they have their PC problems especially with the immigrant issue forced on the country by the EU and the moronic politicians they have. The Police in the UK have cameras everywhere. I have friends over there and they tell me if the people monitoring the cameras see something the police are on the scene very fast. Of course the problem than is the cop that shows up it not armed so if anything more than a dirty look is needed they have to call in an armed policemen. I asked coppers I know over there why they don't arm themselves. They tell me the hassle is not worth it, psychiatric testing, back ground checks, etc.
