Preckwinkle will announce plans to form an exploratory committee for a run for mayor in the coming days, one of her representatives said Friday.
As the power behind the Chief Judge reducing and eliminating monetary bail, behind the sheriff emptying the jail of violent repetitive felons, and behind the state's attorney refusing to charge recidivist criminals with records as long as your arm, Prickwrinkle is the most to blame for skyrocketing property crime, crumbling health care, out-of-control tax increases, countywide corruption and a bankruptcy of immense proportion.
Sounds like the perfect candidate to drive Chicago into the ground those last few feet.

So our Hyde Park University of Chicago area has the largest private police force in North America and the locals including all the Lib Dem BlackLiesMatter @*$&@*# work to make our community a comparatively nice, safe low crime area. Gmac is a great NYC cop but again he has only run CPD and the Newark Police Department. Personally, I liked what did during NATO and was on the front line with him when Evans went down. I just don't think he has the experience to run Chicago.

Put someone in place that has proven experience to get the job done not selecting someone to appease public opinion based on race and not one that will continue failed policies like McCarthy implemented. Compstat is a numbers game and quota system that doesn't work. This guy destroyed CPD. Get the city back on track invest in hiring more employees to replace retirees in necessary positions and get rid of the positions that were made up for friends and family of connected individuals. Hold alderman accountable and make them prove they are working to improve living conditions for the people they represent in their wards and can prove results. Fix the pensions and make the payments ordered by the federal court. Cut taxes on small and large business to attract business like manufacturing this is the only way to bring jobs back. Reduce the price of vehicle wheel tax. There is no justification for the cost especially with the population we have. These are some ideas I have but I'm not running.

I was in Area One (Area Central) during Barack's whole term. There were at LEAST 8 or 9 murders within a block of his residence during his presidency. We used to laugh when the Secret Service guys would; A) ask us if the murder was related to the president's residence and then; B) ask us if they could see the body, because they don't get to see dead bodies much. I always wanted to respond to question A with, of course its related to the president's residence. If he didn't live in a shithole like Chicago where a "community activist" gets the democratic nomination to run for president, then he wouldn't have people being murdered next to his house. I'll bet that only Abraham Lincoln had as many people killed within a mile of his residence during his presidency, but then, it was the Civil War!

Casting your vote for her is foolish because she IS the machine. We need to be rid of her and her like. Nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever be righted while the Crook County democRATS have a chokehold on our city, county and state. I think her campaign platform can be summed up as follows. First, demand equal outcomes instead of equal opportunities. Then demand money to fix the problems in the communitay, problems that the communitay itself both created in the first place and also ignored so that the problems got worse.

Disagree on the community problems aspect. Do you realize that private companies do not hire people from the city. Period. They prefer Josh, Brent and Becky who take the Metra a hour each way. The contracts are rigged so are the concessions at the airport. CPS pays 35 million a year to a tech company in the burbs with zero employees from the city. That alone makes a huge fucking difference.

Grow up and face reality. They all say that when they are campaigning. Then when the reality of paying for it is in their budget, it doesn’t happen. Most politicians could care less about the CPD and if they have kids on the job, they just get them promoted. That’s their concern

Based on your knowledge of CPS contracts, I assume that you are intimately involved with the Communist Teacher's Union. Consider that maybe Josh, Brent and Becky are more fucking qualified than some mandatory "affirmative action" resident of the city. Are you aware that the county and city grant millions of dollars in contracts to "minority" owned companies that usually can't perform the requirements of the job, but get the contract regardless, because its the socialist thing to do? They are my fucking tax dollars. It should go to the most qualified person/company. I once had to handle a disturbance at a construction site in 002, where a "white" owned construction company was building a shopping mall. Black activists were picketing, demanding jobs at the site. I spoke with the construction site supervisor who related that they had, even before construction began, offered "laborer" jobs to the community. (For all you socialist community activists, labor means doing things like carrying lumber, mixing concrete, cleaning the job site, etc.). But the people who were picketing, DIDN'T want those jobs! They want to be driving bulldozers, cranes, bricklaying, even though those jobs actually require some degree of training, NONE OF WHICH THESE PEOPLE HAD! Here is a clue for all you bleeding heart liberals. Instead of teaching people how to be "community activists", teach them how to use a shovel, broom or a saw. They can work their way UP from there. Instead of teaching CPS students about the false narrative of "torture" under Jon Burge, teach the fucking idiots how to act when they are confronted by the police.
