Bait Prostitutes?

Recently at impound court the administrative judge found a couple of Soliciting Prostitution offenders not liable because the female officers they solicited “were not real prostitutes.” The female officers were from VICE and were on duty under cover working an “Operation Angel” (for those of you who remember that) type of mission.
Sounds like the “bait truck defense” is being used as an argument for not being the offenders fault when it comes to buying sex on the street.
Defendant: “Judge, i never would have offered ten dollars for sex if I knew she wasn’t a real prostitute. I’m a victim of prostitution fraud!!”
Judge: “You certainly were defrauded sir. Here is your impound fee back along with the keys to your vehicle. Buyer beware. Have a good day.”
So, just to review:
- Having a nice car? Enticement to carjacking
- Women dress nicely? Invitation to rape
- UPS packages on the front porch? Temptation to theft
Perhaps the Gang Team under indictment can plead that the FBI baiting a stash house with cash was some sort of seduction to the dark side.

Who cares it’s all the cities money anyways.
It gets better—-recently a few tac guys brought a guy in for prostitution and they impounded his car. Apparently the tac guys thought they had another head, but the person who they arrested was an food delivery guy for the prostitute they locked up at a motel. They asked him why did not have money or drugs. Then they wanted to put in the report he was going to pay for sex with the food.
In the end they let him go when the store fell apart. What ASA would had taken that case?
Law Enforcement Baiting Result: Case Dismissed.

Uhh we already have them, but they are too good to work the streets anymore, so they limit their trade to 35th and Michigan with occasional special duties in patrol.

Chicago should have a RED LIGHT DISTRICT, the city can tax,issue permits,and make revenue on Sex,just like in Europe. Also legalize marijuana, tax,and make revenue.
The administrative court can take into account all kinds of things that a normal court can't and won't consider. I don't know what the totality of the situation was but I could see the judge deciding that the line had been crossed between giving someone an opportunity to commit a crime and encouraging them to do so.
In any case, why are we wasting expensive criminal justice resources on this kind of thing? Go after violent felons instead. The work is harder and more dangerous but you might actually do some good, as opposed to getting worthless arrests that serve no purpose other than getting brownie points for the cops involved.
Scary. If they carried this logic over to the internet the offender could argue he was talking to a teenage girl. Pure bullshit

The impound fee is the worst for these poor guys. Prostitutes are usually nice and respectful when you deal with them. I also found they sure know how to stash the narcotics. You always have to get a female to search though!

I worked with a woman who refused to work Operation Angel. She said she didn't want to be approached later off duty by someone who would say they saw her on the streets. Made sense.

They don't legalize prostitution because sick perverts will roam neighborhoods soliciting children and any other woman walking in the area. Rape, robbery, sexual assault all increase if you allow prostitution.
