Whomever shot the 1 yr old on the South Side, is still at Large. The Spree Killer who shot two people to death in Rogers Park, is still at Large. As is the shooter who killed the Doctoral candidate from Northwestern, also in Rogers Park; still at Large. While Fathead Ed has 12 Detectives assigned to apprehending the MAGA racists who allegedly bitch slapped and poured an unknown substance on Mr.Smollett. My prediction based on seeing bullshit like this in the past is: 1.At some point, this will be acknowledged as a "Mistake", and Smollett will turn himself into a hospital for his nervous breakdown. 2. Fathead Ed will not be allowed to pursue the prosecution of Smollett, because this "victim" is Black and Gay, and the City needs the revenue generated by the T.V. and Movies made in Chicago. Taxpayers will end up paying for the misuse of police resources that might have helped the rest of us. Also, News from WGN: Jason VanDyke has been severely beaten in prison. Robin Roberts of ABC's Good Morning America (GMA) interviewed Jussie Smollett and the interview will air Thursday morning, 14 February 2019, on GMA.
Jussie even manages to produce a few tears.

He's really doubling down and trying to bully CPD into backing down with the Crisis Management firm and the GMA interview (no doubt set up by the same firm). He knows that CPD knows that he's lying. He's pulling out all of the stops to make sure he doesn't get charged. He says in the interview that he believes the persons of interest were the ones who attacked him (the two people seen on camera 15-30 minutes before he said the attack happened and who are walking away from the area). He is slapping the face of the CPD and seeing if he can get away with it. I hope it's a big miscalculation on his part and it forces their hand to charge him.

Saw a snippet of his GMA interview. Looks like Jussie has identified his attackers as those two random people walking away from a camera (one in a long coat) as his attackers. He said, "I have no doubt that that is them."

CBS local news reported earlier this evening that CPD suspects Smollett staged the attack with the 2 "persons of interest" seen on the video. I've not heard any more details.
There was a TV show filming in Fourth Presbyterian Church today (2-14) on Michigan Avenue around 4pm. There were trucks with spotlights on the back aiming the light right into the church windows from the outside -- to make the stained glass shine inside. They had all the doors to the church blocked off so no one could get in and they had guards posted around the building by the equipment. They had trucks/spotlights on the street by the Four Seasons and then they also had trucks and equipment on the other street at the other side of the church (directly across from Water Tower Place/Hancock). The guards outside said it was EMPIRE filming a funeral scene in there. I looked for filming notices that are usually posted when a show is filming on the street but since this was going on inside I did not see those filming notice signs.
Does anyone know if the show filming at Fourth Presbyterian today was EMPIRE? If so, the show was filming a funeral scene clearly (or else a wedding, but the guards said it was a funeral).
If you put the puzzle pieces together (assuming it was indeed EMPIRE filming a funeral scene today):
-- Jussie finds out at some point weeks ago that his character is being written off the show
-- Jussie sends himself a threatening letter
-- Jussie gets friends to fake an attack before that funeral scene is filmed
Is this all a stunt to prevent EMPIRE from booting him from the show? If you think about it, he would argue that they can't get rid of him now after "this horrible thing happened to him" -- was this a scam to force the show to keep him on and change the plot that was written for his character?
It looks like they went ahead and filmed a funeral for someone on the show. Assuming this was indeed EMPIRE filming at Fourth Presbyterian Church today at 4pm or so on 2/14/19.
Can anyone check who that was filming? There were no CPD officers around, just rented security guys who were kind of disheveled and sloppy. They wouldn't say much than to say it was EMPIRE and it was a funeral scene.
Because the department has put such a ridiculous amount of time and effort into this jagoff's incident, the department better go all the way and solve this farce and publicly announce that they have proven Smollett lied and fabricated this entire incident. Based on a few leaks, the good detectives may be getting the two persons of interest (smollett's actor buddies) to be scared shitless and tell the truth by flipping on Smollett. Furthermore, Smollett should be charged with a crime and financially charged with the number of man hours wasted on Smollett's bullshit that cost the Chicago taxpayers. Every Chicago citizen and taxpayer should be pissed off that Smollett did this to our city.
