Cochran Pleads Guilty
- South Side Ald. Willie Cochran pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony charge of wire fraud for misusing his campaign funds for gambling and other personal expenses, including tuition for his daughter.
Cochran, 66, appeared before U.S. District Judge Jorge Alonso at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse, where federal prosecutors outlined his plea agreement. Cochran pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud, which accused him of withdrawing money from the 20th Ward Activities Fund — meant to go to children and seniors — and used it for personal expenses.
According to the plea agreement, while Cochran personally donated more than $32,000 to the fund, he withdrew approximately $14,285 more than he gave, and converted it for his personal use. Cochran spent the funds on gambling at Ameristar Casino, his daughter’s college expenses, and goods for his home.

Not to mention regulations and laws to their liking that limit their personal freedoms through ordinances enforced by administrative bodies in a system of "fairness" under direct control of the shitty council?

He was fed up with the BS Shenanigans that were perpetrated by DM the wanna be chaplain and her partner in crime BO. These 2 were President and Vice President of an Organization and were soliciting the city to make it a paid position. It was uncovered that these were involved in some funny business with the funds, this is why it is now under the control of the CPMF. This DM is the same woman who would show up at ER Rooms when Officers were shot and demanded entry by saying " I am a Police Chaplain". As she had no Credentials she was removed several times by Stroger Hospital Police, and informed not to return. She also went to the Building with the Dungeon in the basement and collected for some BS fund she made up, and pocked the money.
If you go to the Real Chaplains website and scrolled down near the bottom, you will notice a disclaimer/warning. This was posted to make the above fake chaplain aware that legal action would be taken if she continued to identify herself as Police Chaplain.
To all officers, if you ever are approached by a person Identifying themselves as a Police Chaplain with the initials DM. Do not give her any Money.

A chicago police sgt ripped off the police sgt's union not that long ago. the suburban cop who killed himself by faking an attack was stealing from a boy scout troop among other things.
It is very common for people who have access to money that is not routinely audited by an independent third party to steal. Cops are not immune to the temptation of easy money.
