The crime involved some "youths" (18-20ish) who robbed a video store with guns on the South West side, next they led police on a wild car chase and ended up smashing many parked cars on the Midway. They fled on foot and tried to hide in some U of Chicago classrooms, they were caught by CPD/U of Chicago PD. The University of Chicago newspaper the Maroon printed the photo of one of the perps being led off in hand cuffs and this caused a lot of commotion and lots of folks objected to Blacks being depicted as criminals. Similar to Jussie Smollett case.
I want to find out how DA Kim Foxx's office handled prosecution of these armed robbers. Did Kim just let them all go and seal the records?

What would have happened if some no name White guy from the suburbs filed a report alleging that 2 Black men had beat him, chemically tortured him, and yelled racial slurs, then stated that Chicago is Operation PUSH country? The Cook County States Attorneys Office is corrupted, broken, and unable to adequately perform their duties. The federal government (the Attorney General Office could do it, but won’t, Kwame is part of the problem as well, which is why you have not heard a word out of that office) needs to step in. This is the only way that the laws are properly enforced in Cook County and that the citizens are protected. Kim Foxx will not uphold what she swore to do.
When will all of the citizens of this city, county, and state realize this and stop voting these corrupted officials in to office?
This Investigation in to the corruption / obstruction could run very high up the ladder, but it would send a message that NOBODY is above the law. Watch the $130k bill be paid (probably from Obama Foundation funds) and this all goes away, just as Kim Foxx seeks a 2nd term.

Clarence did not do too bad (surprisingly). At the very end of the segment he just could not help himself. His final statement was that the CPD held on to the case for 3 weeks before announcing anything. Clarence you fool they (CPD) did not release anything because they were INVESTIGATING the case. Once again, I will say that the Cook County State's Attorney's Office is no longer a law enforcement agency. Laws that since Hammurabi's time kept communities safer. The goal of Preckwinkle and Foxx is to "restore" the offenders, regardless of the cost to victims and the community and regardless of whether the defendant "gets it" or not. It is their perverted version of "Restorative Justice". Long used in Juvenile Court, it was extended to misdemeanors and now felonies. Note the smirk on Smollett's face and multiply that by many of the thousands (5,700 by her count) who have been sentenced this way and felt they got away with something and could do it again.
Communities are wondering the last several what the hell is happening. The CCSAO has demanded herculean efforts of detectives to get someone charged.
