Funeral Coverage

  • Hundreds of sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders from Jane Addams Elementary joined in honoring Rivera before the start of the Mass, waving small American flags to honor the officer.

The students, led by Assistant Principal Daniel Alvarez, walked quietly along crowded sidewalks to the music from bagpipers.

β€œI see future officers standing there right now,” Alvarez said.

A handful of the students have expressed an interest in joining the police force, he said.

β€œHe is one of us,” Alvarez said of Rivera.
Hopefully, by the time these kids are old enough to apply, all of the current regime and their ilk will be long gone.

Godspeed Officer Rivera.

The Murder of Officer Rivera demonstrated the Chicago Values, that make this City a disgrace. Consider that the Media, Police Superintendent, State's Attorney, Mayor and even the President have been wasting time and energy, on a Fake Hate Crime. Compare this to the Reality that a Real Hate Crime did occur in Chicago, and that was the Murder of Officer Rivera. Consider the Reality, that a Black man, in one of the most affluent areas of the City, HUNTED FOR A LATINO, AND WHEN HE SAW ONE; HE MURDERED HIM! NO PROVOCATION, NO REASON OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT THE VICTIM WAS LATINO. A HUMAN BEING WAS HUNTED LIKE PREY ON THE STREETS OF OUR CITY. If a White man had done that to a Black man; the satellite news vans from all over the world would be in Chicago. But Rivera's murder did not fit the Agenda/Narrative, that Blacks can never be the perpetrators of Hate Crimes. We are led to believe that Blacks can only be the "Victims"! In fact, if Rivera had not been a police officer, his murder would have been virtually ignored, as just another minority homicide victim. And in light of the corruption shown by the Cook County State's Attorney regarding the Empire star, maybe it is time to have the U.S. Attorney prosecute the offenders in the Rivera case for Civil Rights violations. Maybe it is time to have the Feds prosecute all cases involving felons with firearms. It has become clear, that everything in Chicago has two basic components: Race and Politics. Justice is clearly NOT a Chicago Value. Stay Strong, the worst is yet to come. Baby "G"

Don't worry. The high schools, universities, FB, "reverunds" will/might replace this good teacher's teaching.

Thank God for the teacher. We all cannot remember 2/3 weeks ago, but these years (6/7/8th grade) are formative years, and there are childhood memories we cannot forget.

We've seen the pendulum swing, people change minds, sadly, words redefined.

The Officer is with the Lord. There is good. There is evil. Most people are good. A few make mistakes. There are bad, ugly people. The good must triumph. It is so written.

NOT ILLINOIS. NOT LAW.

Yeah, the Latino officer was a premeditated hate crime.
Meanwhile a premeditated fake hate crime wraps in 33
days. You do the math.

RMA is correct, this entire incident is being ignored by the usually sensitive leftist press, why? The offender was Black and apparently untouchable (as we saw this past week). I can not stand "Hate Crimes" bc it only serves to make people feel special and separate one group from the other, but this incident was the very definition of what a "Hate Crime" is. But, largely ignored and underplayed bc it doesn't fit into the left's narrative or agenda.

Very sad and completely preventable when you consider the poor job by our CCSAO letting this heinous predator out on the streets.

Rest in Peace brother.

The media does not want to talk about racism if it is not the tired KKK in the 1930s version of that narrative. This officer was killed due to his ethnicity and over his being in the wrong place when the wrong shitheads hellbent in violence against any Latino they could spot at the moment wondered by.

I am sure the killers won't be called racists by the press in any loud voice at any time. Very messed up.

Kudos to Asst.Principal Alvarez.

He did a very brave thing given today's CPS Communist/Socialist/Progressive agenda.
